It is Birchbox time again ya'll! Yes, it is time for another one of my monthly Birchbox box openings.

Earlier this month, Birchbox sent out an email. Subscribers had the choice to either choose a regular October Birchbox or a special edition Goop Collaboration Birchbox. As much as I love the "regular" monthly boxes, I really can't resist an opportunity to get a special box!

Monthly Box Subscriptions:
There seem to be so many monthly box subscriptions out there now. It can be a bit overwhelming to choose! I have tried quite a few, weeded some out, and am happy with my small handful of monthly box subscriptions. So, I only subscribe now to the monthly box programs that I truely love: Birchbox, Julep, and GLOSSYBOX.

What is Birchbox?
Birchbox is a monthly beauty sample subscription service. For $10 per month, you get a beautifully wrapped box full of 4-5 deluxe size (and the occasional full sized) luxury or boutique beauty products. It is a great way to discover new beauty brands and get out of a makeup/skincare/haircare rut! Plus, it feels as if you are unwrapping a little present! It is my monthly gift to myself and I just love it! I have subscribed for over a year and have just been so happy with the service and the items I have gotten in the boxes. Beyond the boxes being a great value, they are fun! I honestly have found some great new brands and some new favorite products through my Birchbox sample subscription.

Birchbox July 2012: Box Opening!!!

It is time for my monthly Birchbox Box Opening!!! 

This month is exciting because this box is another special edition box: a Birchbox/Glamour Magazine collaboration. As a fan of both Glamour Magazine *and* Birchbox, I can't wait to see the goods. Granted, this month is not a surprise for me as I just finished a giveaway for this exact box. So, while I know what is inside, I am still excited to open it up!

The Scoop on Birchbox:
Birchbox is a by-the-month beauty sample subscription. For only $10 per month, you get a beautifully wrapped box full of 4-5 deluxe size (and the occasional full sized) luxury or boutique beauty products. What a great way to discover new beauty brands and get out of a beauty rut!

My very favorite aspect of beauty sample services is the feeling like you are opening a present. My sample subscriptions are my monthly gifts to myself and I just love it! I have subscribed for over a year and have just been so happy with the service and the items I have gotten in the boxes. Beyond the boxes being a great value, they are fun! I honestly have found some great new brands and some new favorite products through my Birchbox sample subscription. 

I have a bit of a "thing" for Beauty Sample/Beauty Box subscriptions. Julep (love), GLOSSYBOX (love), and Birchbox: Birchbox remains my favorite! But, I really do love them all! I have weeded out the one that I wasn't as crazy about. Also, I am thinking that I might venture into other monthly subscriptions...I am tempted by Little Black Bag. But, I don't think I am ready to fork out $50 a month for accessories. I would rather shop for them myself!

June 2012 Birchbox: Box Opening!

Can you believe that it is time for my monthly Birchbox Box Opening post? Time just seems to be flying by these days! Summertime is one of my absolute favorite times of year. Long, warm, and sunny days filled with pool-time, dog walks, and now baby-activities too! Hectic schedules give way for thoughts of summer vacation planning and packing for the beach. Even if I can't get out of town, I mentally take a break. So that might mean just stopping by CVS to load up on celebrity gossip and beauty magazines for an afternoon of reading on the back porch under the ceiling fan with a big glass of lemonade!

Apparently the folks over at Birchbox are like-minded! The June box has a "Jet Set" theme. How perfect for this time of year and my general frame of mind! This month's box is packed with travel friendly items that you can put right in your carry on bag.

Its that time again...time for my monthly Birchbox "box opening"!

Before the box arrived this month, Birchbox gave me the opportunity to preview a couple of the month's box items: the Violent Lips Lip Tattoos and the Eye Rock Designer Liner Stickers. But the rest of the box is a total surprise!

Besides the samples, what else do you get with Birchbox?
Well, you get access to the members-only site (with great shopping), you earn points (that can be used towards product discounts) for referrals and reviewing the items on the Birchbox site, and they offer great free shipping discounts on current box items.

After one full year of being a subscriber, I can honestly say that I still love my Birchboxes and will continue to subscribe! I look forward to my box every month. The content of the boxes vary. Some boxes I have liked more than others. But, overall, I have been very pleased. My best tip for subscribers: give Birchbox feedback from your boxes! If you don't like an item let them know or update your profile.

Can you believe that it is already time for my monthly Birchbox Box Opening post? I don't know about ya'll, but for me, October really flew by! I know I seem to always say that, but for real! Maybe it is because this is my favorite time of the year. Or maybe because I am expecting a baby next month! :) Things have just been busy and exciting lately!!!

Fall brings changing leaves, colder weather, pumpkin lattes and my favorite month...October! There is just excitement in the air this time of year! The pending holidays, Fall festivals, beautiful afternoons, you name it! So, as you can imagine, I am just thrilled that this month's Birchbox has a "Fall" theme!

Its time for my monthly Birchbox Box Opening post! As many of you know, I love detailing my monthly Birchboxes for you readers. It is always so fun to receive these beautifully packaged monthly treats and to open them up *with* you! Its just so fun!!! I am super excited about this box as it is Birchboxes "One Year Anniversary" box...curious yet?

Birchbox provides a members-only monthly beauty product sample subscription. It is a fabulous way to explore and sample new high end brands and products with a minimal financial commitment. That's right...it is only $10.00 per month for 4-5 deluxe sized samples a month. Not only are these samples fabulous, but they come beautifully packaged!!! I am a sucker for great packaging! ;) These little sample sizes are nice for product testing or for just having a portable travel/purse sized product!

With a membership, you get access to a members only site with great beauty articles and tips for how to use the products, shopping on the Birchbox site (free shipping for the current items in the Birchboxes!), and the best part: when you review products on the Birchbox site...you earn points towards free full-sized products! I always find that the benefits of my $10.00 monthly subscription far outweigh the cost! Not to mention that I have discovered some great new brands and new favorite products from my Birchboxes!

It's time for my monthly Birchbox "Haul" or "Box Opening" post! As ya'll may know, I subscribe to Birchbox which is a monthly sample subscription ($10 per month) from Birchbox.com.
