Have you browsed COVERGIRL lately at the drugstore? They have some amazing new products that I am super excited to share with you!

Covergirl LashBlast Active Mascara:
The Covergirl LashBlast family of mascaras are always my favorite to use. I honestly do not have a favorite amongst the various formulas of LashBlast. I tend to change it up amongst these as my everyday mascaras. I just love the cubby brush and the overall feel of the chubby wand. Plus, LashBlast mascaras never smudge on me. That is a feat as I have very watery eyes. So, I was superexcited to try out this new Active version of a product that was already a fave. :)

Lash Blast Active Mascara gives an instant boost of volume. It promises up to 24 hour wear. Now, I did not test that, lol. However, it is quite a claim. I must say, this mascara does wear extremely long and extremely well! I am actually someone who wears a little bit of makeup to the gym. No, nothing too crazy...I just do the basics: concealer, mascara, and lip balm. Typically, when I hit the gym, I do it in the morning and then go about my day and shower sometime before dinner. So, that means that I want at least concealer and mascara on while running errands and such. This mascara easily lasts through a workout and my busy day! This mascara comes in 4 shades.

Covergirl Outlast Active 24 Hour Foundation:
I have always been a fan of Covergirl foundations. They are a deal at the drugstore and I typically have great results! I am not an everyday foundation wearer. However, when I do wear foundation. I really want it to last and wear well. Longwearing formulas like this one are fantastic for extended wear! While I don't wear it to the gym or during a workout, I still want it to hold up to sweat! I live in sunny hot and humid Atlanta. So, anything sweat-proof is a must! The new Outlast Active 24 HR Foundation is available in 18 shades for Fair to Deep skin tones.  It’s a light-weight foundation that has fantastic wear! I tried the shade #810 Classic Ivory which is just a touch too dark for me. There is a shade lighter that I need to try that I think would be perfect for my fair skin. I love the coverage and the finish. Plus, the added SPF is a must!

When I feel like getting "fancy", I put on liquid liner and do a basic cat eye. The Covergirl Get in Line Active Eye Liner combines a lightweight feel with intense color for maximum impact. The long wear formula is waterproof and sweat-proof to fit your active lifestyle. Just like with mascara, I appreciate a long-wearing sweat and waterproof formula when it comes to eyeliner. I just want to put it on and not have it budge until I take it off. This product does just that! So, I am super happy with it!  This product comes in 3 shades.

The powder is so soft and buttery that it almost doesn't even feel like a powder. It has a high mica and pearl content which makes it ultra luminecent.

Wow! These are intense!!! This is total liquid metal shimmer with glitter. If you want a wow-effect, you will get it with these. Plus, these are so much easier than trying to get traditional glitter to stick to your eye lids! These have no budge and have extended wear. You can either wear them solo or layer over regular shadow for a pop of intense sparkle and shine. They go on wet and then dry to set to a smudge-proof shadow.

These are incredibly fun to play with! I love these for a glam night out.

POPBeauty Topper Popper Metallic Lip Stain:
POPBeauty really wants you to shine this season. Here is another mega-shiny mega-shimmer product...this time, for your lips! Topper Poppers can be used either as metallic top coats to your regular lip color or as a stand-alone sheer lip look.

Once the product dries to set, you get a smudge-proof lip that is incredibly long wearing! The amazing sparkle and shimmer really lasts. These are super fun to wear!

POPBeauty Twinkle Texture Multidimensional Palette:
This palette will certainly get your attention! This palette contains 4 silky shimmer shades and 4 complimenting super glitter shadows. These mix and match shades really let you get creative and sparkly with your eye looks!

To use, you just apply your shimmer shade of choice as the base. Then, you layer the super glitter color on top for a totally standout POP effect!

I find with my color preferances, that I am gravitating more towards the silver and purple shades. I might wear the gold as well, but I doubt that I will wear the maroon.

POPBeauty Permanent Pout:
POPBeauty has an assortment of new shades available to their Permanent Pout collection that are collaborations with social media influencers. I totally support that! ;)

Permanent Pout lip shades are long wearing and "kiss proof" formulas. There are quite an assortment of shades from bold to neutral. My favorite shades are Sweet Harmony and Z.

To use, you apply to clean and dry lips. You need to use waterproof makeup remover to remove the color.

POPBeauty Filter Effect Base:
POPBeauty calls these the "no filter foundations"!  These foundations promise light-weight coverage for a beautiful and even complexion. The formula is infused with antioxidants. Plus, it blends in beautifully to blur imperfections and it gives you a lovely natural finish. The coverage is buildable. The formula is also oil-free!

These foundations come in 8 shades. The No. 1 Fair is pretty close to my skin tone.

Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and Foundation & Long Wear Eyeliner!

Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and Foundation plus Long Wear Eyeliner!

It is not everyday that I get to talk about one of my holy grail products! So, I am super excited to talk to you guys today about my holy grail everyday under-eye concealer (drumroll please)....Hard Candy's Glamoflauge. Not only do I get amazing coverage from this product, but also it is extremely affordable and available at your local Walmart!!! 

Besides talking about my HG Glamoflauge Concealer, we are also going to chat about Glamoflauge Foundation and Hard Candy's Soft Glide Long Wear Eyeliners. While I have been using Glamoflauge Concealer for ages, the other products are totally new-to-me! :)

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Concealer:
This product is sooooo good! Holy Grail status for sure. Just a bit of background here before we dive into my review...I struggle with uber dark under eye circles. I mean, they are bad. I have allergies, hereditary dark circles, and generally never get enough sleep. Plus, my eyes are prone to irritation because of my sensitive skin. Add this all up and I get the purple/dark circles and the redness. Not cute. So, I need a lot of coverage. Most concealers are simply just not pigmented enough. I need high pigmentation. However, I still want the product be be blendable and not look cakey. Glamoflauge is full coverage and totally fits my needs! It gives great coverage, blends like a dream, and looks natural.

Generally, I am between the shade #487 Ultra Light and #977 Fair. However, my Walmart does not always stock all of the shades. So, I have been able to get the other lighter shades to work for me as well like #312 Light and #1220 Light Beige.

Glamoflauge comes in 15 shades and retails for $6.00 at Walmart. One tube will last you forever as you only need a small amount for great coverage. What a deal! Seriously, one of my favorite concealers, ever, and one of the least expensive ones I have ever tried!

Also, Glamoflauge also comes with a mini concealer pencil. I will admit that I honestly never use it, but it could be handy for spot covering blemishes.

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Foundation:
With how much I love Glamoflauge Concealer, you know that I was excited to try out the foundation of the same name. #930 Porcelain is a pretty close match for my ultra fair skin. It is a liquid-powder formulation that works to absorb extra oil, camoflauge and cover your imperfections. I would say that this foundation wears pretty well, but not all-day (so I would not describe it as long-wearing foundation). I do feel that it is a little more coverage than I need. However, I must note that I don't always wear foundations and when I do lately, I am preferring very light coverage and a natural sheer finish. However, if you are looking for medium-full coverage, you should check out this foundation! It is a deal at $7.00 a bottle and it comes in 9 shades!

Hard Candy | Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils:
Creamy Eye Pencils are my go-to lately when I want to line my eyes. Nothing beats the ease of a pencil for quick application and nice wear. These Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils from Hard Candy are fantastic! They blend well and dry to a very longwearing and non-transferring product. I have the shades Glitter Treasure Chest and Creamy Matte Dark Chocolate and love them both. I would love to try more shades! Especially the shimmer shades! These retail for $5.00 each at Walmart. What a steal!

Have you seen this new Youth FX range from Revlon in the drugstore? It promises to instantly transform the look of lines and wrinkles. I am so excited to be able to give it a try! While I certainly do not have any major lines nor wrinkles yet, I do have a few fine lines that I would love to minimize as much as possible. Plus, I like trying out any new anti-aging formula as I think it is so important to have good skincare ingredients infused into your makeup products. I mean...why not! If you are putting it on your face anyway, if your makeup gives an anti-aging boost that it is that much better.

Nothing beats the Summer heat for fun times in the sun. However, Summer fun can sure wreak havoc on your makeup and skin! From melting makeup, to sunburns, to trying to find a glow...what is a girl to do? 

Luckily, L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sir John has some fantastic tips for Summer beauty and L’Oréal Paris has some great products to help you out along the way. I was able to try out these products and road-test these tips and I can tell ya'll. They do work!  

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #1: COVERING A SUNBURN

SIR JOHN TIP: While everyone tries to avoid getting a sunburn, unfortunately sometimes it still happens. Luckily, there are some easy ways to cover it up. Sir John recommends using the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation ($12.99) along with a green color corrector as found in the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Color Correcting Kit. The green will neutralize the redness on skin. Using a makeup sponge like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Concealer Blender ($7.99), dab it into places that are burned the most - areas like your nose and cheekbone.

No, I didn't actually end up with a sunburn on my face this summer (I am very diligent with SPF...especially on my face). However, sometimes I do still get too much sun on my nose and I don't want my nose to look darker than the rest of my face. So, I used these tips to neutralize the color on my nose and even out my skintone. 

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #2: HOW TO USE MELT-PROOF MAKEUP

SIR JOHN TIP: Melting makeup doesn’t have to be synonymous with heat and humidity. Sir John has a trick to tame eyebrows and keep them in place to weather the elements  – spraying hairspray on a thin toothbrush and then gently rubbing it on the brows (in more extreme cases like when on tour with clients, he has used a glue stick in place of hairspray). He then suggests penciling them in with an eye brow pencil like the L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99). He also suggests using a waterproof mascara like the L'Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara ($9.99).

Melting makeup is no joke in the super hot, sunny, and humid Georgia climate that I live in. Sometimes it feels like an impossible feat to just get your makeup to stay on in the Summer. Plus, my brows are super unruly. So, I always appreciate tips about how to keep them tamed. The L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Definer and the L'Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara are now new favorites of mine!

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #3: HOW TO FAUX THE JLO SUMMER GLOW

SIR JOHN TIP: To get the perfect faux glow, Sir John recommends exfoliating with a product like the L’Oréal Pure-Clay Exfoliate and Refine Cleanser ($6.99) the night before you want to tan to prep skin. Then use a self-tanner and apply all over face and body for an even and natural-looking glow. Sir John loves the L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum ($10.99) as it’s easy to apply and lasts up to two weeks.

I am all about drugstore skincare and self tanners! I absolutely love the glow that I get from the L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum. It is so natural-looking and as a super fair skinned girl, it is my best way to get "tan". Plus, the L’Oréal Pure-Clay line of cleansers are fantastic. There are three different ones and I just love the cleanse that I get from these. 

If you already have a gorgeous glow but want to add some highlight to your face, mix a liquid highlighter like the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator ($12.99) with a hydrating facial moisturizer from the L’Oréal Paris Hydra Genius ($17.99) line and apply it on your desired areas.

No Summer glow is complete without a touch of highlighter and some dewy moisturized skin! I am obcessed with the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator! Just a touch of this highlighter to key areas of my face (top of cheekbows, brow, center of nose, and chin) gives gorgeous dimension! Plus, I love the texture of the L’Oréal Paris Hydra Genius moisturizer. It plumps up the skin nicely and leaves me so hydrated.

My New Face Loves from LORAC: Foundation, Blush & Highlighter!

It is time to update you guys with some of my most recent makeup faves!

For Spring time I have really lightened up my makeup and am going for a very natural "no makeup" makeup look. So, my focus is really on great skin with subtle eyes and lips. These items from LORAC are really helping me to achieve that look beautifully!

LORAC Sheer POREfection Foundation:

I am so impressed with this foundation! First of all, the shade PS1 Porcelain is a perfect match for my super fair skin tone (this is a feat! Often I can't find foundations light enough for me). It has a beige undertone which works so well on me. This foundation gives fantastic flawless medium coverage. I just love the super lightweight feel of this foundation. It really has the feel of wearing nothing at all. It looks so natural! The coverage really is impressive given the extremely light feel of the product. Plus, like the name suggests, this product does perfect your pores! It doesnt settle into my pores or make them look more apparent like many foundations do. I am super pleased! Plus, this foundation wears all day flawlessly! LORAC's Sheer POREfection Foundation is my new go-to foundation! Love it!!! Retails for $35

LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush:

As many of you know, I am a bit of a blush fanatic! I don't know what it is...but, blush is just my favorite makeup item. I think that it evolved out of me being super duper fair and realizing that blush has the ability to perk up my entire face with just a couple sweeps of powder! Plus, I have to admit that the process of smiling to find the right blush placement automatically makes me happy, lol. I know...I am a nut! Sorry, I digress...back to this blush...

I tried the shade Tinge which is a lovely and super light matte peach. It gives such a subtle and pretty hint of color to my cheeks. Plus, the blush formula is infused with anti-aging antioxidants such as Pomegranate, Acai and Vitamins A, C & E.

LORAC Light Source Illuminating Highlighter:

A beautiful highlighter is the perfect compliement to a pretty blush. The Light Source highlighter collection contains 4 shades: Starlight (light opal), Daylight (soft gold), Twilight (light bronze), and Moonlight (pink pearl). 

I got to try out the shade Starlight (light opal). It gives the most beautiful glow! The powder texture is so super silky and soft (yet not overly "powdery"). This shimmer is just lovely and not glittery at all. This highlighter really does give that "lit from within" glow. The formula is infused with anti-aging antioxidants and light diffusing, soft focus pigments for a silky-smooth, luminous glow.
