Hello lovelies! It is time for another monthly beauty box review/box opening!!! :) Today I am opening my very first Beauty Box 5 beauty sample box! Yay!!! As a beauty blogger, I love exploring new products and new brands. Beauty Sample boxes are the perfect way to do this! I get introduced to brands and products that I might not have known about otherwise. However, you don't have to be a beauty blogger to love a beauty sample box. I think beauty sample boxes are a great way for anyone to get out of their normal product routine to explore fabulous new items! 

The Skinny on Beauty Box five:

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription-based monthly beauty box service. For $12.00 a month, you get 5 deluxe sized beauty samples. You also have the option for annual or quarterly subscription bundles which save you even more money ($99 per year or $30 quarterly). The boxes are delivered right to your door. The boxes are filled with beauty items from luxury brands as well as common drugstore brands, boutique brands, and eco-concsious brands in categories including makeup, hair care, skin care, nail care, fragrance, and even beauty accessories. Each box comes cutely wrapped in a Tiffany blue shipping box. Inside the box is an information card which prompts you to go to the Beauty Box 5 website to learn more about your products. Also, members get access to special discounts from the brands.

Mother's Day Themed Birchbox: May 2011 Birchbox (Box Opening)

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mothers out there!!! 

So, Birchbox surprised me yesterday with an earlier-than-expected delivery! What a great idea for Birchbox to ship out this month's Birchbox early so that it would arrive before Mother's Day! Very fitting considering that this month's theme is Mother's Day!!! Typically my Birchboxes arrive between the 10th-12th, but this month's arrived right on the 7th!

The info card states "Mom Knows Best"; so, the box is filled with classically elegant products. This month's selections are timeless and will "always be in style, just like Mom".

If you are not familiar with Birchbox, it is a monthly sample subscription of a gift box filled with 4-5 deluxe sized samples plus a "treat" and an "extra". The subscription is about $10/month and it includes the monthly Birchbox, access to the fabulous member's only Birchbox, free shipping on full sized products included in the current month's box, and opportunities to earn Birchbox points for reviewing the products on the Birchbox website (accumulated points go towards discounts on purchases). 

I actually made my first "free" Birchbox purchase last month and I am highly pleased with my order, the shipping, and the customer service (I am a sucker for great customer service!). It is so fun getting the monthly Birchboxes!!! They are wrapped beautifully! Its just like getting a little present every month. Perfect for a beauty-blogger like myself (and great to give as gifts). Birchbox Goes Green!!! April 2011 Birchbox: Box Opening

Hello my dears! 

It's time for my monthly Birchbox "Haul" or "Box Opening" post! As ya'll may know, I subscribe to Birchbox which is a monthly sample subscription ($10 per month) from Birchbox.com. Every month, I get a wonderful package delivered right to my door sometime between the 10th and 15th filled with 4-5 deluxe samples. The samples are all beauty related: skincare, makeup, hair care, fragrance, and also a little "birchbox treat" which varies monthly. Each box has a "theme" and comes beautifully wrapped. It is like getting a little present in the mail every month!
