Has it been a warm Spring for you? It has been a surprising cold Spring here in Atlanta, GA! Plus, I am one of those people who is cold all the time, lol! Good think that I live in the South!!! Have you had a chance to scope out the new MAKE cosmetics line? Not only were they featured in my Birchbox this month, but also they are a brand that I am in the process of testing out for upcoming review! From the same cosmetics manufacturer as NARS, the products have superb quality and pigmentation! Plus, a portion of all sales goes towards supporting the non-profit We See Beauty Foundation that works to benefit and empower woment in need!

MAKE created some amazing looks for Daniel Vosovic's Fall/Winter 2013 presentation in New York this week. MAKE's makeup team, led by Kristen Hilton, crated modern and contemporary looks that gave a nod to modern aristocracy (which was Daniel's inspiration for his collection). The key components for the overall look? Bold statement lips and fair porcelain skin! Hey, this is certainly a look that I could rock!

Summer-to-Fall Transition: Outfit of the Day!

As much as I love Fall and Fall clothing, sometimes the transition is a bit hard! The weather stays warm here in Georgia for quite a long time. Typically, I ease the transition by mixing some of my "warmer" pieces from my Summer wardrobe. Sure it gets cool in the mornings here, but by mid-day it is quite warm still.

Here is a Super-easy go-to Look of mine:

• Top: Simple scoop necked brown and pink striped tee from Forever 21
• Jacket: Sleeveless Jean Jacket from Baby Phat 
• Pants: Cargo capri's from Old Navy
• Shoes: The Juliana Bronze Wedge flip flops from Oka-b
• Handbag: Corporal from JustFab
• Sunglasses: Prada

The addition of the sleeveless jean jacket by Baby Phat adds an extra layer of warmth and pulls the look together a bit more. The bronze/gold buttons on the jacket coordinate with the bronze embellished Oka-b wedges to dress up the look just a bit.  The metallic JustFab Corporal bag completes this very easy casual look.

"Little Black Bag": My First Order and Box Opening!!!

Have you heard about Little Black Bag? It is my newest "monthly box" obsession! lol! I actually think that I might be "late to the party" on this one. For awhile I held off on trying this monthly box. But, when I found myself on the search for a tiny handbag to go with an outfit for an upcoming wedding, I decided to scope out Little Black Bag! I mean, if I am going to buy a trendy handbag, I might as well get a few "free" items thrown in, right? (<---um, yah, that is me justifying my shopping, tee-hee!). Also, I saw that you could get a discount when you signed up on your first order (in the end, the discount swayed me!).

What exactly is Little Black Bag?
Well, it is an online shopping and trading site. Basically, you sign up for Little Black Bag for $49.95 per month. Items on the site are up to 70% off the retail price. Like most of these "monthly box" services, you take a style quiz and items are generated for you. You can pick out any item on the site for your monthly fee (handbags, jewelry, accessories, and makeup) *plus* Little Black Bag will give you 2 "free" items with your order. So, you get three items total for a total of   . The catch? You do not know what your additional 2 items will be. You choose your first and the other two are randomly selected. Now, this is where the "fun" comes in. You have a choice here: You can either select the your Little Black Bag box as is (your 3 items, the one you selected plus the 2 generated)...OR you can trade your Little Black Bag items with other Little Black Bag users with "open bags". You submit requests and other users can either accept the trade or decline. Also, as soon as your bag opens, you will get requests from other users for the items in your bag.

I know...this sounds confusing; but, I promise it is not! It is super easy...and more than that, it is totally FUN and addictive! Yes, I found myself compulsively logging in to see what new offers I had or if anyone had accepted my trades. Honestly, I really liked the "self generated" free items that Little Black Bag selected for me. But, I still traded just for the sheer "fun factor" of it!

So, how do you complete your purchase? Basically, once you have all of the items that you want (after trading, etc). You just select for the box to be shipped. All of the trading occurs before you actually have the items in hand.

You can skip months if you want! This is a key factor when signing up for these monthly boxes. I love the option to skip months. Quite frankly, I am on a huge budget. I might not want to purchase (nor will I need) a box every month. It is easy, you simply log on to your account on the site and click a box to "skip" the month. 

Like other "by the month" services, you do get to earn points or credits with referrals. I am new to this service. So, I am not quite sure how the referral points work just yet.

When you sign up (depending on their current promotions), you get from 20-50% off your first item. What a deal!!!

As any fashionable girl knows, keeping up with shoe trends is an expensive habit! JustFab stays on top of the current styles and offers a variety of shoes, handbags, jewelry, jeans, sunglasses, and misc accessories that are all *on trend*! As with any "monthly"-type subscription/club, there is a standard fee for each month. Do you not feel like spending on shoes and accessories every month? No problem, you simply opt to skip the month and you will not be charged.

If you want to look cute...but don't want to spend a fortune keeping up with current trends, then this site is for you!!! The shoes range from cute flats to sexy sky-high pumps and trendy boots and wedges. The jewelery featured is glamorous, sparkly, and trendy. Definitely statement pieces. The bags are categorized into clutches, cross-body, hobos, and totes. No matter what size and style bag you like to carry, they likely have something for you! 

When you sign up, you take a style quiz. Your personal stylist will select some shoes, handbags, jewelry, etc is generated based on your results from the quiz. You can either shop from your hand picked selections, or choose from a variety of other items available on the website.

On a monthly basis, you will get an email from the JustFab stylists which contains your monthly botique which contains items based on your style quiz. You can either choose to purchase an item or not. If you opt not to purchase, then you can elect to "skip a month" by noting this in the appropriate place on the JustFab site. If you do not tell them you are "skipping the month", then you will be charged the standard $39.95 fee which will give you one credit that you can use to get one JustFab item at any time.

Think about how much you typically spend (or would like to spend) on shoes and accessories...when I do the math, I realize what a truly good deal JustFab is!

Besides getting fabulous deals on shoes and accessories, you can earn credits towards free items by referring your friends. When you sign up and become a VIP member (this is what JustFab calls its subscribers), you will get a personal referral code to share with your friends. You may have noticed some blog renovations today on PBB? Christine from 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic has been busy with adding category tabs and revamping the layout. What a great friend!!! I owe much of my blogging success to her! She is always a source of personal wisdom for me: be it just someone to bounce ideas off, get help with tech stuff, or great tips on surviving pregnancy or new motherhood. I love the new look! Plus, I think the tabs under the banner will help ya'll to browse posts by category. I like this feature and hope that you will too!

In the category tabs, you may notice the "Of the Day" tab. What is that you say? Well, I am hoping to add more posts that feature "Nails of the Day" (NOTD), "Outfit of the Day" (OOTD), and "Face of the Day" (FOTD). I will kick that off with today's OOTD!!! :) After 9 months of pregnancy and the first few months at home with the baby, I am finally starting to get my pre-baby shape back (yay!). So, this has really inspired me fashion-wise!

This blog will primarily remain a beauty blog. But, I think that sharing my OOTDs will be a great way for me to occasionally write and share a bit more about my day-to-day life! :)
