Hello lovelies! It is time for another Birchbox Box Opening! This time I am sharing my opening of their new and Limited Edition "Free for All" box! 

So, what is this "Free for All" Birchbox all about? 

Sometimes it's less about what is in your products than what isn't in them. That statement says it all. Often, less really is more when it comes to product ingredients and things that you are putting on and in your body. This collection of products is full of items that are Birchbox-editor tested, free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, and GMOs. Plus, many of these products are naturally-based with extracts of flowers, veggies, and fruits. Can I just say how excited I am to try something from Mally!?!? I have always heard great things about this line and am thrilled that Birchbox now carries it! This lip pencil set is a perfect introduction to the brand. 

This 5-piece chubby lip pencil collection is a must-have for any lippie-lover! I just adore the formula! These chubby lip pencils have the color of a lipstick, the texture of a super-hydrating lipbalm/treatment, and the shine of a gloss. They glide on beautifully and give gorgeous color. This collection contains the full range of shades from nude-red and everything in-between. The collection comes in a pretty little pink box with a magnetic closure. So cute for sitting out on my vanity! The collection also contains a little sharpener so that you always have one right at your fingertips.

The set retails for $50.00. Shades: Fierce (creamy red), Peachy Keen (creamy bright peach/coral), Punch (soft natural pink), Nectarine (peachy-pink nude), and Cafe (pinky brown natural).

Benefit Gimme Brow: Tame those Unruly Brows!

My brows strugggle. Really. They are super thick, they constantly need trimming and plucking, and they never seem to naturally go in the right direction. Brow gels were invented for unruly brows like mine. So, when Birchbox asked me to review their new product Gimme Brow by Benefit, I was happy to try it out!

I love the ease of this brow gel! I use the light shade. While I am blonde, my brows are on the dark side. The light tint shade is a light cool-toned taupey-brown. Gimme Brow features a water-resistant fiber gel that adheres to both your skin and brow hair. It holds my brows in place very well and it gives them a nice tint, too.  The color looks very natural on and it seems to automatically "fill in" those sparse areas. Plus, I love that the brush is super small! I find that it is easy to control and very precise. The gel holds my brows in place all day without giving them an overly stiff feel like other brow gels tend to do.

It is no secret. I have a bit of a thing for blush. For me, it is the makeup item that gives me that "ahhh" moment. It perks up my complexion, gives me color...even my application method (smiling when I put it on so that I get the proper blush placement on my cheeks) makes me happy. :) Point being: I <3 Blush! So, I am always excited to try a new one! Next to palettes, blush is the makeup item that I am always the most excited to try.

September 2011 Birchbox: Birchbox's One Year Anniversary Box!

Its time for my monthly Birchbox Box Opening post! As many of you know, I love detailing my monthly Birchboxes for you readers. It is always so fun to receive these beautifully packaged monthly treats and to open them up *with* you! Its just so fun!!! I am super excited about this box as it is Birchboxes "One Year Anniversary" box...curious yet?

Birchbox provides a members-only monthly beauty product sample subscription. It is a fabulous way to explore and sample new high end brands and products with a minimal financial commitment. That's right...it is only $10.00 per month for 4-5 deluxe sized samples a month. Not only are these samples fabulous, but they come beautifully packaged!!! I am a sucker for great packaging! ;) These little sample sizes are nice for product testing or for just having a portable travel/purse sized product!
