Raise your hand if you love dry shampoo 🙋 lol! I know that I can't live without it for 2nd and even  3rd day hair. However, recently a lot of dry shampoos are irritating my scalp. However, I do know that the ingredients needed to create this amazing lather, are not necessarily good for my hair. So, I will go ahead and tell you that you are not going to get much lather, at all, from this shampoo...but, remember, lather isn't necessarily a good thing! I do find that with shampoos like this one that do not create much lather, that I end up using more product than neccesary to try to build up a bit more suds. 

I really enjoy the soft orange scent of this shampoo and conditioner duo! This shampoo and conditioner gently cleansed my hair and left it feeling soft, volumized, shiny, and bouncy. The conditioner has a mid-range consistency. So, I honestly did not think it would moisturize that much...but, it did! My hair feels and looks very hydrated and healthy.

I think the quality and performance of the Suzanne Organics Wild Orange Vanilla Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner are top notch. I will continue to enjoy using this and will likely re-purchase. 

Suzanne Organics Wild Orange and Vanilla Styling Gel:

Now, I do not normally use gel on myself for hair styling. However, I do use it on my son. He has extremely sensitive skin and also has eczema. So, I am very picky about what I use on him. With the quality of the ingredients in this gel, I can feel confortable using it on my son. It gives his hair the soft control that it needs to keep his bangs out of his eyes.

This product is a lightweight and soothing clear unscented gel. It feels very cool and soothing going on the skin. Because it absorbs quickly and leaves no residue, I like using this in the mornings after washing my face (but this can be used twice a day if you like). I find that this gives my skin an extra hydration boost as well as extra smoothness from the plumping effect! My makeup applies beautifully over this and my skin, overall, looks better when I use this.

Suzanne Organics Bioactive Moisturizer:
This super fragrance-free soothing cream is loaded with skin-loving ingredients to hydrate and smooth your skin. The Bioactive Moisturizer contains natural, botanical active ingredients, like CoQ10, Argan Oil (restores moisture), and Sea Buckthorn Berry (essential fatty acids, Omega 3,6,7 and 9).

I use this cream at night after cleansing, applying serum, and any treatment product that I might be using. This is a beautiful last step in my skincare routine as this cream is so soothing. I always wake up with hydrated and plump skin after I use this before going to bed.

Are you guys into supplements? I sure am! I have always been a believer in the power of vitamins, nutrition, and anything that I can do to take charge of my overall wellness.

I have found that my nails are always in the best condition when I am taking a hair/skin/nails suppliment. I have supplimented on and off over the years for nails/skin/hair. So, I am super excited about trying out this version from RestoreLife! My hair certainly seems to benefit, too with faster growth. However, I find it a bit harder to quantify skin results since I am always experimenting with skincare products.

So, I am starting out with taking this formula 1x a day and will evaluate my results at 1 tablet a day. If I am not seeing the results that I want, I will increase my dosage. Since I am petite, I often take less medication or suppliments than directions indicate and still get results. I will keep you guys posted as I see results! What a gorgeous nail polish collection!

The polishes apply smoothly. I find that they lay down a rather thin coat and need about 3-4 coats to build up the coverage to my liking. True Brazilian Activating Serum and Finishing Gloss Combo: 
I am so excited about this True Brazilian duo avaialbe at Suzanne Organics! I am no stranger to Brazilian Keratin hair treatments. I got one professionally done once and absolutely loved the results (but not the price!). I have also experimented with a few at-home anti-frizz treatments. So, I am super excited about trying out this True Brazilian Activiating Serum and Finishing Gloss.

While my hair is straight, it is somewhat damaged. It has a rough/coarse texture from damage and highlights. Smoothing treatments and serums mean less styling time for me and smoother and shinier hair.

This combo from True Brazilian is super easy to use right in your own home! It does not take that long and the results are really nice! Plus, this duo retails for $49.99 on the Suzanne Somers site. That is so much less than a salon Brazilain treatment and it takes much less time, too!

True Brazilian Activating Serum:
This serum contains key ingredients like Meadowfoam Seed Oil and Abyssianian Seed Oil which sink deep into your hair to repair and smooth it. These ingredients are heat activated by blow drying and flat ironing your hair after applying the treatment.

To use, just wash and condition your hair as usual and then towel dry. I apply about 2 pumps of the serum and then distribute through my hair (avoiding the root area). Then I blow dry my hair as usual. After drying, you seal in the treatment by using a flat iron. Work in small sections until your hair is completely flat ironed.

After using this treatment combo, my hair is smoother and shinier and the frizz is reduced. Overall, I think my hair looks much more healthy after using this treatment.

True Brazilian Finishing Gloss:
This finishing gloss is the perfect last step to your True Brazilian experience! I just use about 1 pump on my hair after finishing my flat ironing with the Activating Serum. This gloss leaves my hair looking super shiny and feeling super smooth. It contains key ingredients like Argan Oil, Vitamin E, Cupuau and Tamanu Seed Butters, and more. These ingredients add antioxidant protection, shine, moisture, and and leave your hair feeling soft and silky.

The Poncho comes in 2 sizes: Missy and Plus. I ordered Missy. I will tell you, these are VERY roomy. Yet, somehow it does "fit". It is a very loose fit, but the tops do not fall off me. While I do feel that these tops are slightly too big for my slender frame...since they don't fall off, then they still are wearable and certainly very comfortable and stylish. When I pair them with very slim fitting skinny jeans/jeggings, they look great!

The Suzanne Somers site suggests that you can wear these ponchos 3-ways: cowl, hoodie, or off the shoulder. For me, I really only liked it two ways: as a cowl or off the shoulder. For me, I just didn't care for the way it looked as a hoodie since I have a long torso it just made it ride up too much in the back and the hood part is too narrow. However, you guys might like it as a hoodie, I just didn't personally care for it that way. The great news is that you still have tons of options for how you can wear these tops!

I personally like these tops best worn as off-the-shoulder tops. The tunic length of the top is perfect when you pair the ponchos with skinny jeans or leggings. The material is super soft and I really do enjoy the feel of these when I am wearing them. The black is a true black and the mocha shade is more of a camel shade. These are very flattering and easy to wear and I can see how these are sized to fit most people! Even though they are a little bit too big for me, I think the style and roominess of them is very current for the leggings/tunic top trend. So, I will continue to wear and enjoy these fun ponchos!

Overall, I am a huge fan of the Suzanne Organics lineup! There is so much to choose from: hair, fashion, makeup, nails, suppliments...and even more items that I have not tried yet like fitness items, home cleaners, weight loss, and more!

It is time for another Makeup Wars! This time we are talking about our favorite Hair Products! 

Hair products are near and dear to my heart. I put a lot of time and effort into my hair. So, I want to use products that bring out the best in my hair. I will fully admit that I probably spend more than I need to on highlights and cuts. So, I want to take care of my investment, lol! I am not satisified with "ok" hair. I want shiny and pretty hair everyday. If my hair looks good, I feel better about myself overall! Before diving into my favorite hair products, lets talk a bit about my hair type.

My Hair:

I have heavily highlighted, long, and thick hair. My hair is coarse in texture. Rarely is a product "too rich" for me. In fact, I struggle to find products that are moisturizing and soothing enough for my hair. Because of my highlights, my hair is on the dry and damaged side. However, I have found that using really great products combats the damage and makes my hair look healthy.

My Favorite Products:

Give Your Hair a Shine Boost with a Boost of Protection: White Sands Porosity The Fix

I seem to be in the constant search for that "Holy Grail" hair serum that will leave my hair looking super shiny and fabulous. 

My hair is long and is dry and somewhat damaged from highlights. I put a lot of work into my hair as far as salon visits, general maintenance (washing, conditioning, drying, etc), and special treatments (protein treatments, mositure treatments, leave-ins, etc). However, I am constantly worrying about those products being discontinued or that they might become hard to find. I must have back ups. So, I frequently search for other products that might work well. As a beauty blogger, I do try out a lot of hair serums and leave-ins. However, only a few work well enough for me to devote time to review them! Enter White Sands Porosity The Fix!

I am just adoring this multipurpose leave-in! From the pretty purple-ness of the liquid to the cuteness of the bottle, I just had to try it! Plus, as all of you with processed blonde or highlighted hair know, processed blonde hair is extremely porous. Finding products that work, like Porosity The Fix by White Sands, is the key to filling in the gaps that leave blonde hair overly porous and weak. White Sands Porosity The Fix helps to combat the issues caused by porosity and equalize your hair while also leaving it shiny and protected.

A little bit goes a long way with this product. I just spray it lightly on my hand and then distribute it throughout my hair. You can also spray directly onto your hair. However, I feel like I have a little more control when I spray into my hands and work it in this way. 

How I use: 

When my hair is freshly washed and towel dried, I spray a little on my hands and work it through my hair right after applying my styling products. This product acts as a heat protectant as well as a shine boosting serum. I probably use about 2-3 sprays in my hands for my below shoulder-length hair. Then I blow dry with a round brush as usual. When I am all done drying my hair. I spray about 2 more sprays worth onto my hands and then run that over the top layers of my hair for a shine boost. I love the results! It gives shine while also protecting my hair against heat damage. Also, I love the light feel of this product. It does not weigh my hair down at all nor leave it looking greasy. I think the trick is to use a very very small amount. With that said, this bottle is a great deal! It will take me ages to use it up with only using about 4-5 sprays per styling session.

I am such a fan of CHI hair tools! This CHI Glamfetti Iron is so quick and easy to use. I almost always seem to be in a hurry to get ready. With 2 kids under 4, I am limited in my "getting ready" time. Usually, I have to get up before everyone else and rush to get ready before anyone wakes up. This CHI Glamfetti Iron makes fixing my hair super quick. My hair drives me a bit crazy. It was totally straight for years. However, after having children, my hormones changed my hair it is now wavy in the very top section. It is not wavy enough to wear "curly" but not straight enough to wear straight. It is time for another edition of Fab Fast Friday! This is my way of giving you the quick scoop on products that I am currently obsessed with! Only the most Fab are mentioned here! ;)  

Even though my hair is straight and always appears to be shiny and smooth, I have a secret...I fight frizz on a daily basis! I rely heavily on frizz-fighting products to keep my hair smooth and silkly. Yes, my hair is primarily straight. However, straight hair can frizz! Plus, since having babies, I have developed a strange patch of kinky curly hair right on top of my head. Ack! 

Zero Frizz Keratin Corrective Hair Serum:

Well, I have discovered a total miracle product here ladies: Zero Frizz Keratin Corrective Hair Serum. O.M.G! Ya'll. This stuff ROCKS! 

I literally just smooth a pump's worth (a large dollop) of Zero Frizz onto my dry hair right after styling. This is the final touch of my hair routine. It instantly makes my hair look super smooth and shiny. Plus, it keeps the frizz at bay all day! I absolutely adore this stuff and plan on repurchasing this over and over again. This is a new Holy Grail, ya'll! I honestly do not find true Holy Grail products that often. So, this is a big deal! Plus, how great is the drugstore price of this product? At only $5.99, this stuff is a steal!

Fighting Late Summer Heat with Drugstore Products: Aussie, Secret, and Herbal Essences!

The heat is in full swing here in GA. It has been upwards of 95 degrees this past week! There is no question that extreme heat can create a challenge for staying fresh and clean! I need to combat the heat with products to keep me smelling fresh and keep my hair frizz-free. The good news is that there are a ton of drugstore products to achieve this goal! As much as I love my high end products, nothing beats a great drugstore find! For this post, I am going to talk with ya'll about some of my recent drugstore favorites for hair, body, and last...but not least...your underarms!

For Hair: Aussie:
It is so fun for me to re-visit Aussie products! This is a line that I have literally loved since middle school. Not only do the products smell absolutely amazing, but also they are incredibly good for your hair (while also being so affordable!).

Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner: 
This lightweight spray conditions your hair while detangling, hydrating, and smoothing. I like that I can liberally spray this in without it feeling greasy. I just squirt in after towel drying my hair and before adding hair serums and other styling products. I absolutely adore the scent! This is certainly not the most moisturizing nor most repairing leave-in that I have ever used. However, it works great as a detangler and does offer some lightweight conditioning benefits.

Aussie Moist 3-Minute Miracle Deeeeep Treatment:
I have been using versions of this deep conditioner since high school! This deep conditioner is so inexpensive; yet, it works so well (and smells amazing!). The Three Minute Miracle Collection now has five customized formulas specific to what your hair needs. I am currently using the Moist formula for hydration and softness. I love the results! My hair is beautifully detangled, shiny, managable, and soft after each use. I am almost guaranteed a "good hair day" when I use this. I must try all of these formulas! For Body: Herbal Essences:

Have you seen the body washes from Herbal Essences? I have long been obsessed with the scents of Herbal Essences products. I think I first fell in love with the scents of their hair products all the way back in High School! Well, now you can get those fabulous scents in body washes! The best thing about Herbal Essences scents and Body Washes is that the scent really lingers! My body wash assortment from Herbal Essences includes Hello Hydration (a fresh and tropical coconut), Body Burst (a refreshing citrus), and Honey I Smell Good (honey and apricot). Honestly, I don't know which I like best because they are all amazing. I am so obsessed with these scents! I guess if I had to pick a favorite, I would choose The Hello Hydration scent because I use the Hello Hydration shampoo on my daughter. So the scent reminds me of her! :) By-the-way, the Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner work great for keeping her hair super shiny, manageable, and smelling great all day!

For Underarms: Secret:
In the late-summer Georgia heat, I need to use the strongest underarm protection that I can find! I have used and trusted Secret deodorant/anti-antiperspirants for years! Secret was literally the first deodorant that I ever tried and I rarely stray. What can I say? I just don't want to smell and their deodorant/anti-antiperspirants really work for me. My Hair:

Before diving in to the product descriptions and my reviews, lets talk about my hair type. My hair is very long, thick, and heavily highlighted. I am naturally a dark blonde and I highlight my hair to a light blonde shade. While my hair is thick, it is fine in texture but also somewhat coarse as well. I generally find that shampoos geared towards coarse damaged hair are what resonates with my hair. Rarely can a shampoo or conditioner be "too thick" or "too rich" for me. It is actually the contrary, I struggle to find shampoos and conditioners that are smoothing and moisturizing enough for me. My other issue: tangles. My hair tangles so easily and it is so long that it really can be a pain! My hair is certainly in the dry and damaged range. With that said, my hair can be transformed into touchably soft and beautiful hair with the right combination of products!
