Nourish and Reconstruct Damaged Hair with Nexxus Keraphix Line:

Do you have dry and damaged hair (like me?)? I seem to be constantly in the cycle of hair damage and hair repair. Trust me, I do everything that I can to keep my hair healthy. However, I do love my hair best when I am very blonde. Even though I am a "natural blonde" (wink), I am dark blonde. So, I rely on high lift highlights to keep my hair looking bright. 

To counteract the damaging effects of bleaching and highlighting, I rely on reconstructing hair products like the Nexxus Keraphix line. I am so impressed with this line of Nexxus products! They have really worked to nourish and reconstruct my highlight-damaged hair beautifully. 

The Nexxus Keraphix line is infused with Keratin protein and black rice which help to heal visible signs of severe hair damange. Nexxus uses a protein research process called Proteomics which reveals that Glutamic Acid is an amino acid lost in hair when it is damaged. Nexxus Keraphix is a way to replenish the lost nutrient. The result? Visible hair repair! 

I used all of the products in this line together for my testing phase. The result? I have achieved smoother, softer, and stronger hair. My hair looks and feels more healthy to the touch and breakage has been drastically reduced. Overall, I am very pleased with my results with the Nexxus Keraphix line! My hair looks and feels smoother and shinier. Plus, I have reduced breakage. My hair feels protected and nourished. Keeping my blonde hair healthy is one of the biggest aspects of my overall beauty routine. It is also a driving force behind my blogging: finding products to keep my blonde hair looking and feeling healthy. Let's face it...I pay *cough* way too much for my highlights. Not that I am looking for expensive highlights. It is just that getting highlights done every 8 weeks adds up! It is where I put the bulk of the money that I set aside for my beauty budget. So, I look at my hair as a bit of an investment. After paying for highlights at an upscale salon, you know that I am going to treat my hair with the very best products that I can find. So, I am always on the hunt for good hair care products. From drugstore to high end and professional products, I am always on the search. I want to use the very best products that I can find! 

My Hair:

As I mentioned my hair is heavily highlighted. It is shoulder length and very thick. I typically style it straight. It is naturally straight. However, I do have some wavy patches in the back around the crown area. It is somewhat dry and damaged from the highlights. Also, I am growing out some breakage from a botched baylage experience at a previous salon. So, I am always looking for products that moisturize, protect, smooth, and repair.

Using a good leave-in is a hair care step that I never skip! Leave-in sprays can provide just that extra condition and manageability that my hair needs. Plus, my hair can be very difficult to comb out and is very prone to tangles. So, using a leave-in can make all the difference.

I use this product 2 ways. To use after showering and washing my hair, I shake the bottle and then spritz about 2-3 sprays into the ends of my hair and then smooth it through and distribute with my hands and then follow it up with combing. The other way I use it is as a smoother/refresher on dry hair or 2nd day hair. To use in that way, I just spritz a small amount on my hands and then smooth it over my dry hair. This instantly smooths hair and provides shine.

This product smells amazing!!! I find that it provides excellent heat protection. Plus, it helps my hair to behave much more manageably. My hair is easier to comb out when I use this product. Plus, I can be confident that it is protecting my hair from heat and from breakage. I feel that my hair has more movement and shine when I use this product. Overall, I am very impressed and really enjoy using this! At $25, this product is on the expensive side. However, you really do not need much product for it to be effective. So, a bottle will last you a long time.

L'Anza Healing Moisture: Hair Help for my Damaged Hair!
Summer is a great time to revive your hair care routine. Not only is my hair damaged from heavy highlights, but also the sun and the fun tend to wreak havoc on my hair, too. So, what better time to step up your haircare game and add some really nourishing products!

I really love this daily conditioner! It soothes and moisturizes my hair without leaving it feeling overly weighed down. The formula contains Hawaiian Kukui Nut for both moisture and shine. I alternate between this and the Moi Moi hair masque (which provides deeper conditioning).

L'Anza Healing Haircare Moi Moi Hair Masque:
This hair mask deeply repairs and hydrates damaged hair. I have had really great results with using this masque about 1-2x a week in conjunction with the rest of the Healing Moisture line. This mask is so unique with its blue moisture micro pearls in the formula (I did a double take the first time I used it as the product looks like it would exfoliate). I just apply it in the shower after washing my hair. I leave on until I am done showering and I rinse out.

My Hair:

Before diving in to the product descriptions and my reviews, lets talk about my hair type. My hair is very long, thick, and heavily highlighted. I am naturally a dark blonde and I highlight my hair to a light blonde shade. While my hair is thick, it is fine in texture but also somewhat coarse as well. I generally find that shampoos geared towards coarse damaged hair are what resonates with my hair. Rarely can a shampoo or conditioner be "too thick" or "too rich" for me. It is actually the contrary, I struggle to find shampoos and conditioners that are smoothing and moisturizing enough for me. My other issue: tangles. My hair tangles so easily and it is so long that it really can be a pain! My hair is certainly in the dry and damaged range. With that said, my hair can be transformed into touchably soft and beautiful hair with the right combination of products!
