Sun Shield Unscented SPF 28:

This is an antioxidant-rich unscented mineral-based SPF daytime lotion for the face. It is so soothing and it leaves my skin hydrated and protected. Plus, it never breaks me out. I just love it! I like to wear it either on its own or mixed or layered with a tinted sunscreen for color. 

I have a strong preference for mineral sunscreens and I always particularly like the ones that are a combination of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. This formula contains both. Also, it contains other nourishing ingredients like Aloe and Vitamin E to soothe the face and reduce signs of irritation while protecting the skin from the sun. I like that this daily SPF feels lightweight and absorbs quickly to leave a smooth, clear, and matte finish. 

Key Active Ingredients:

• Titanium Dioxide 0.67%–PhysicallyshieldstheskinfromUV exposure, disperses damaging UV rays to limit photo aging, and creates an occlusive barrier.

I am a big believer in wearing sunscreen *daily* and reapplying throughout the day. We must protect ourselves from the sun. I have lost a dear friend to melanoma and my Dad struggled throughout his life with constantly getting basal cell carcinomas removed. Prevention is the key! 

Perfect C Eye Cream:

I am trying to be more conscious about using Vitamin C in my skincare routine. I have always been good about SPF and using retionoids. However, I have not been as consistent with Vitamin C. So, my New Year's Skin resolution is to add more Vitamin C products into my daily skincare routine!

I like the consistancy of this eye cream as it layers nicely under my concealer. I also believe it might be brightening up my eye area a bit as I do know that Vitamin C can have a brightening effect. Overall, I love this eye cream and think it is a great everyday staple procut!

My Skin:
Before diving into my review, lets chat a bit more about my skin. My skin is Combination (leaning more towards Combo/Oily) with some dry patches from active treatment products (just started with Rx retinods). My skin is a bit on the sensitive side. So, I am always seeking products that are effective without irritation. I am also somewhat prone to breakouts.

Derma-E Skin Restore Collection: 
This Peptide and Collagen-based skincare collection is designed to help fight the signs. The collection includes a moisturizer, a serum, and an eye cream. Lets chat more about each one! Apparently the moisturizer in this collection used to be named Deep Wrinkle Moisturizer. Well, that product has been improved and reformulated (and renamed). While I have never tried the latter to compare, these new products are winners for me!

Derma-E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Moisturizer:
This hydrating formula is packed with beneficial active ingredients. Lets talk about a few of them! The formula includes Matrixyl synthe’6 (May help support collagen for healthy-looking tone and texture) and Argireline (softens skin and smoothes fine lines). Other actives include Vitamin C and Green Tea for antioxidant protection.

I have done a bit of side research on Matrixyl synthe'6 and I am excited to encorporate it into my skincare as it does seem to really have some benefits!

I really enjoy the non-greasy feel of this moisturizer. It feels like, sinks right in, and leaves my skin feeling soft and plump. Plus, I am so happy that it does not irritate my sometimes sensitive skin.

Derma-E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Serum:
This serum has the same active ingredients as the moisturizer: Matrixyl synthe'6 and Argireline. I like to layer this product on first and then apply the moisturizer on top.

I really enjoy the soothing gel/serum feel of this product. It smooths onto the skin beautifully and sinks in and dries down within a few minutes. I also really like the subtle lavendar scent to the product. I do believe this scent is from lavendar essential oil (as "natural fragrance oils" are included in ingredients).

Derma-E Advanced Peptides & Collagen Eye Cream:
This eye cream works wonderfully to hydrate the eye area in order to smooth out fine lines. Like the other products in this line, this peptide infused cream also contains Matrixyl synth'6 and Argireline.

This eye cream is super gentle on my sensitive skin. It really does sink in nicely and it works to smooth out my fine lines.

So, is the Derma-E Skin Restore Collection "nature's botox"? Well, I can't quite tell you specifically since I have never had botox and do not have any major wrinkles yet. However, I can tell you that these products are fantastic. They are very hydrating and work to smooth out my fine lines. Plus, I trust that the active ingredients really are beneficial for my skin. As someone who loves to eat clean and live a healthy lifestyle, the Youth to the People superfood-based product line really appeals to me! While I would love to be 100% vegan, it just was too difficult with a family of varied diets. This oil leaves my skin feeling so lovely!!! The oil has a very light feel and glides on beautifully. After a few minutes it sinks in with no oily residue. Now, generally, I do prefer non-scented products for my sensitive skin. I use this product in a varitey of ways...I like adding this oil as a drop in my morning SPF/moisturizer, a few drops after cleansing my face, or as the final touch in my skincare routine: smoothing a drop or two after all my skincare treatments. Love it!!!

Dark Circles...if I was to name my #1 Beauty "problem" it would be my dark circles. I am not talking about minor dark circles here. My dark circles are terrible! I have very fair skin and my dark circles are very dark purple. Plus, I also have redness and pinkness in my eye area, too. 

My dark circles arise from a variety of causes: general lack of sleep and occasional insomnia, allergies, and heredity. I know that many of these things can not be changed. I was really just destined to have dark circles. So, needless to say, under eye concealer is my best beauty friend. Because, who likes to have people tell them all the time that "you look tired"! Seriously! 

When it comes to beauty products, I really do not expect any miracles with an eye cream. If my dark circles were minor and from non-hereditary causes, then yes, I might expect more. However, I just know that some of these issues can not be resolved with an eye cream. With that said, when a product does promise to help with dark circles, then I do expect to see some result...even if it is only minor.

So, needless to say, I was excited to try out the Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream. It promises to help with your dark under eye circles by targeting two major causes of purple and brown dark circles: pigmentation and poor microcirculation. Now, I don't have brown dark circles, but I do have blue dark circles and red/pink dark circles. 

Besides help with dark under eye circles, I am also drawn to eye creams that boost hydration, minimize fine lines, and have anti-aging benefits. Plus, I want an eye cream that does not irritate my sensitive eyes.  

Shiseido's White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream:

How it Works:

Shseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream contains Shiseido's exclusive "Dark Circle Diminisher" which defies dark circles in three ways by helping to target their root cause, preventing their formation, and addressing microcirculation in the eye area to infuse freshness and radiance into skin. Plus, the formula also contains humectant-rich "Super Hydro-Synergy Complex N" which helps to instantly hydrate your eye area skin and helps to maintain moisture for hours. So, if you are looking for an eye cream to diminish dark circles and improve eye area hydration, this is certainly an eye cream for you! 

My Results:

I have been using this Shseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream for a few weeks now and honestly really do like it. 

So, big question...are my dark circles diminished? Well, somewhat. As I mentioned earlier, I honestly do not expect any big miracles when it comes to dark circle improvement with an eye cream. So, my results were not very noticeable...but, I am still pleased. What I did notice was some "surface lightening" of the skin. So, this certainy did "brighten" my eye area. However, my dark circles really seem to come from deep within the skin. So, my dark circles are still very dark. But, like I said, I am still pleased. Even just a surface lightening did liven up my eyes and brighten the area. 

As far as other results, I am very pleased! This cream is super luxurious to apply. It sinks right in and feels lovely when applied. The packaging is gorgeous, too! Plus, this cream did not irritate my sensitive skin. I find the cream to be super hydrating. So, fine lines are diminished from the hyrdating effect. 

I do wish that this cream contained some anti-aging ingredients as that is important to me in an eye cream. So, I am currently using this eye cream in the mornings and I am using a Retinol eye cream at night for the anti-aging benefits of Retinol. 

Overall, if you are looking for an eye cream to have a slight impact on your dark circles and to give your eye area a great boost of hydration, then you should certainly check out Shiseido's White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream. I am really liking it and will continue to use it!

This product along with the day cream has really made a great impact in my skin's plumpness and the diminishment of fine lines. Plus, I think that this cream just gives me a nice glow, too. I layer this cream over my usual retinol serum and it is a perfect way to top off my nighttime skincare routine!

This cream contains all of the great actives that the Recapture Day cream contains minus the sunscreen and plus Tetrapeptide-26.

This is a thick and rich cream. However, it does not feel greasy on the face. I find it soothing to use.

Thermal Detox Cleansing Mask:
What a unique cleanser/mask! I am somewhat new to "warming" mask-type cleansers and I must say that I really like the unqiue sensation of this product. Before I tried it, I was worried that it might be harsh because of the warming aspect. However, I found it to be very gentle and moisturizing; yet, it still gives a deep cleanse. The warmth actually helps the product to clear debris out of your pores. This product is gentle and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft! 

Refocus Eye Serum:
This is a nice lightweight eye serum. I really like the fast-absorbing texture. I feel like it sinks right into my eye area and goes to work. This serum alone is not enough moisture for my eye area. So, I like to layer it underneath my usual eye creams.

This Eye Serum contains many of the actives in Christie Brinkley Authentic Skincare's other products like: Bio-Copper Complex, Neodermyl, Elix-IR, and Sytenol A.

My Skin:

Before we jump into our discussion about Pura Organics, lets talk a bit about my skin type so that you know where I am coming from skincare-wise. I have classic combination skin. I am somewhat normal-oily with more oil and larger pores in the t-zone area. I do not break out often. However, I do get the occasional blemish during that time of the month. My skin is sensitive and I have had sensitivity reactions to products in the past. I am highly interested in preventative anti-aging skincare. My "trouble spot" is my eye area as I am plagued by dark circles and redness/purpleness in that area. I am lucky in the fact that my only signs of aging are some fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes (these are primarily noticable when my skin gets a bit dehydrated).

Now that you know my skin type and overall skincare concerns. Lets dive into talking about Pura Organics and the products! I really enjoy using this eye cream! My eyes are sensitive and are prone to redness, irritation, and my eyes water very easily. I found this eye cream to be both gentle and effective. After using this product for a few weeks, my eye area looks and feels soothed and hydrated. Plus, I find that this eye cream is an ideal base for makeup. It does not leave the eye area feeling overly greasy. This eye cream plumps up my eye area skin and fine lines look less apparent. Plus, this eye cream helps to depuff the eyes as well. I think this is an ideal eye cream for daytime use (you can use it day or night, but I prefer to use it during the day).

The Limited Edition Earth Day packaging artwork is gorgeous. I got to try out the product with the Nikki Reed artwork and it really is a cool addition to the label. This rich and creamy eye cream warms up when it contacts your skin and just melts right into your skin and absorbs. This eye cream is so gentle and so hydrating. The product is so concentrated that you really only need a small amount for each use. So, this .95 oz eye cream really will last a long time. I have had such great results with this eye cream. It smooths out fine lines and hydrates and soothes my entire eye area beautifully. This is one of my top 5 Eye Creams and I adore using it!

The Struggle is Real: Fighting Dark Circles and a Tired-Looking Eye Area:

Having Dark Circles under my eyes is my biggest beauty complaint. In fact, the search for solutions for my eye area issues is one of the driving forces behind my blog! I am a skincare lover at heart and I try to seek out products that can help me to look my best. This includes trying to find good eye creams to combat my dark circles, signs of aging, and fatigue. 

Why do I have Dark Circles? I blame heredity, allergies, and general lack of sleep. So, I get the dark purple from heredity and the redness from allergies. When I combine that with intermittent insomnia issues, it compounds the problem! As a Mom of two young kids, I never can seem to catch up on sleep. This is where having a great arsenal of products on hand is key! I need good eye creams and under eye concealer to make me look rested and refreshed. Honestly, if I went without concealer, people might even think I have two black eyes (my circles are that dark!). I need my eye creams to be super rich and hydrating; yet, they need to be nongreasy so that they make a good base for a high-coverage concealer. It is nice when my eye creams can also work a bit to reduce the darknesss! I am not expecting miracles from any eye cream in that department...but, even a slight reduction makes me happy.

Keep the Secret of your age with this "Ageless Mythology":

VIIcode was established by Dr Byrne Victor. He was an experienced dermatologist in the 18th century. Still now, VIIcode is welcomed by European royalty and high-end business people. VIIcode has an interesting inception and one that reads quite like a history or mythology. Apparently the "secret formula" behind VIIcode dates back to the Napoléon era. According to VIIcode, Josephine used an "eternal youth" formula to keep her looking young. The Victor family swore to Josephine that they would keep the formula a secret and the VIIcode formula was born. Mythology aside, this eye cream is quite luxurious and does have some good ingredients to combat signs of fatigue and aging. 

Key Ingredients:

This formula does have some nice ingredients to help my eyes look more refreshed and to diminish my early signs of aging. Ingredients include: Shea Butter, White Tea, Green Tea, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Grape Seed Extract, Aloe, and Vitamin E.  

The Packaging:

This eye cream comes very cutely packaged! It comes in a little black faux leather drawstring pouch. Inside is tucked a screw-top jar of the VIIcode T2 Oxygen Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Wrinkles. 

How I Use:

During product testing, I used VIIcode T2 Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Wrinkles in the morning and the evening. I just use my finger to apply and I gently tap in the eye cream all around my eye area. 

Product Details and My First Impression Results:

I really enjoy the feeling of applying the VIIcode T2 Eye Cream. The cream itself is thick and rich; yet, it somehow has an airy and almost whipped texture. It is certainly a luxurious feel! The eye cream is so soothing as it goes on. It instantly refreshes my skin and makes my eye area feel very comfortable and hydrated. Another plus? I love how non-greasy this eye cream is! There is absolutely no greasy residue. The eye cream absorbs rather quickly and leaves the area soft and hydrated. The VIIcode T2 Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Wrinkles makes an excellent base for concealer. As ya'll know, this is a requirement for any eye cream that I use: it absolutely must wear well under concealer. I find that after using this eye cream for a couple weeks that my eye area is nicely hydrated, fine lines are smoothed and skin is plumped, and my dark circles are ever-so-slightly less noticeable. I am very pleased with my results. In addition, I really love how this eye cream wears under my concealer. I don't expect any eye cream to obliterate my dark circles. So, I need my eye creams to work well with my high-coverage concealers and this one sure does. In addition, this eye cream is very gentle! I had not issues with irritation nor this eye cream stinging my eyes. 

Overall, I am happy with my results with VIIcode T2 Eye Cream for Dark Circles and Wrinkles. If you are looking for a low-profile luxury eye cream with a unique and interesting history, be sure to check this one out! Yes, this product is pricey at $199 a jar. However, you only need a tiny amount of product for each use as the cream is so concentrated. So, your jar should last you quite awhile.
