My absolute favorite way to do this is with a facial mask during a long soak in the tub. There is no question, at-home spa treatments totally rejuvinate me! It is a ritual that I look forward to every week.

While I used to use SunIn all over my head in the past, I must mention, that I now get my hair professionally highlighted. However, I still almost always have a bottle of SunIn on hand for home touch-ups. While I do trust the bulk of the work to the professionals, strategic placement of SunIn at my root area can stretch out my time between salon visits. I mean, we all know how expensive those foil highlights a balyage looks are! You can save so much money when you can stretch out your salon visits a bit further.

Also, I tend to get partial foil highlights at the salon which leaves my underneath layers primarily untouched. So, I like to go in with SunIn around those underneath areas for general lightening. When I go in with SunIn at my root area for touch-ups, I just spray a bit onto the cotton ball and spradically dab it to my root area. Then I follow up with my normal blow drying. The effect is subtle but noticable to me. I feel like my roots look less noticable when I do this.

Like me, my son has dark blonde/light brown hair. At his last hair cut his hairdresser noticed the grow out of his natural sun-streaks from playing outside. I am certainly tempted to use SunIn on him to extend the look of his natural sun streaks from summer.

As a dark blonde, I can tell you from years of experience with this product that it works extremely well for my hair color. It lightens me to a light/bright blonde. It gives me really natural looking highlights, just like the way the sun would naturally lighten my hair. So, yes, SunIn works beautifully for blondes...but, there is more: SunIn wants you to know that this product isn't JUST for blondes! It brightens from blonde to medium- brown hair, too!

My skin is also prone to sensitivity. Generally, I have clear skin. However, I do tend to get the occasional breakout in the t-zone area (mostly my chin, but also occasionally by my nose). In addition, my pores get clogged easily.

This product is a moisturizing cream with tea tree oil and other ingredients. Tea Tree oil is an essential oil that has literally been used for thousands of years to treat skin conditions. Tea Tree oil is a natural disinfectant that has a remarkable ability to fight and treat acne. The tea tree oil used in the Keeva Tea Tree Oil Acne treatment cream is obtained by a thorough steam distillation of the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. While there is tea tree in this product, I can't really smell it in the product. The product smells more of menthol than tea tree. So, if you are sensitive to menthol, do know that it is in the product (although it is almost last on the ingredients list). Dark Circles...if I was to name my #1 Beauty "problem" it would be my dark circles. I am not talking about minor dark circles here. My dark circles are terrible! I have very fair skin and my dark circles are very dark purple. Plus, I also have redness and pinkness in my eye area, too. 

My dark circles arise from a variety of causes: general lack of sleep and occasional insomnia, allergies, and heredity. I know that many of these things can not be changed. I was really just destined to have dark circles. So, needless to say, under eye concealer is my best beauty friend. Because, who likes to have people tell them all the time that "you look tired"! Seriously! 

When it comes to beauty products, I really do not expect any miracles with an eye cream. If my dark circles were minor and from non-hereditary causes, then yes, I might expect more. However, I just know that some of these issues can not be resolved with an eye cream. With that said, when a product does promise to help with dark circles, then I do expect to see some result...even if it is only minor.

So, needless to say, I was excited to try out the Shiseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream. It promises to help with your dark under eye circles by targeting two major causes of purple and brown dark circles: pigmentation and poor microcirculation. Now, I don't have brown dark circles, but I do have blue dark circles and red/pink dark circles. 

Besides help with dark under eye circles, I am also drawn to eye creams that boost hydration, minimize fine lines, and have anti-aging benefits. Plus, I want an eye cream that does not irritate my sensitive eyes.  

Shiseido's White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream:

How it Works:

My Results:

I have been using this Shseido White Lucent Anti-Dark Circles Eye Cream for a few weeks now and honestly really do like it. 

So, big question...are my dark circles diminished? Well, somewhat. As I mentioned earlier, I honestly do not expect any big miracles when it comes to dark circle improvement with an eye cream. So, my results were not very noticeable...but, I am still pleased. What I did notice was some "surface lightening" of the skin. So, this certainy did "brighten" my eye area. However, my dark circles really seem to come from deep within the skin. So, my dark circles are still very dark. But, like I said, I am still pleased. Even just a surface lightening did liven up my eyes and brighten the area. 

As far as other results, I am very pleased! This cream is super luxurious to apply. It sinks right in and feels lovely when applied. The packaging is gorgeous, too! Plus, this cream did not irritate my sensitive skin. I find the cream to be super hydrating. So, fine lines are diminished from the hyrdating effect. 

I do wish that this cream contained some anti-aging ingredients as that is important to me in an eye cream. So, I am currently using this eye cream in the mornings and I am using a Retinol eye cream at night for the anti-aging benefits of Retinol. 

Overall, if you are looking for an eye cream to have a slight impact on your dark circles and to give your eye area a great boost of hydration, then you should certainly check out Shiseido's White Lucent Anti-Dark Circle Eye Cream. I am really liking it and will continue to use it!

As I have mentioned before, SPF protection is not just for Summer! As we transition into Fall weather and Fall temps, we can't stop wearing SPF protection. While I like all of these new products from the Australian Gold Botanical line, the Face Sunscreen SPF 50 is a real stand-out for me. My skin always does the best with mineral-based sunscreens. As you feel the first signs of Fall in the air, consider a few wild and windblown looks to try for your weekend festivities straight from today’s runway.

MY ‘DON’T UNDERESTIMATE ME’ HAIR” FROM JILL STUART:

“Create extra volume by using your fingertips to tease hair. The final result is not only voluminous, but touchable and soft” - Odile Gilbert, TRESemmé NYFW Stylist
