What a cute idea for a post! A "Beauty Diary"!!! So, what is that all about? The object is to list all of the products that you use on a random day. I will admit, I have a lot of curiosity as to how long my list will get, lol! Not to mention, I am extremely curious to see the lists from my fellow Makeup Wars bloggers. Think of these "Beauty Diary" posts as a glimpse into the daily routine of a Beauty Blogger. 

While Reading the List: Things to Keep in Mind:

If you see items on my list that you have heard me review or mention before, chances are that I am still loving the product. I come across so many products with beauty blogging that if something makes it into the daily routine (products that I will eventually use up), then I really must love it! In addition to daily favorites and well-loved items, you will see "new-to-me" products on this list. These are the items that I am currently testing for upcoming reviews and features.

O.M.G...that is just a crazy amount of products. What is even crazier? My routine is really not that long! I have everything so streamlined and automated that it goes rather quickly. I use specific products and product categories in certain order so that I don't skip anything.

Makeup Wars: Favorite Foundations

It is time for another Makeup War! This time the Makeup Wars bloggers are sharing their favorite foundations! 

My Skin:

Just for reference, lets talk about my skin! I always like to know a product reviewer's skintone and skin type. I am extremely fair and have sensitive skin. Many makeup lines (especially drugstore) do not have shades light enough for me. Often, in the lines that do go light enough, I am the very lightest shade. My tone is neutral-cool, sometimes a cool tone is the best match and sometimes neutral works better. It just depends. I admit, it is hard to match skintone! Often I think something matches, and then I take it home, and realize it doesn't. There is so much trial and error here. I find that the true test is looking at your foundation in natural light and checking it against your neck and jawline. My go-to blogger for foundation recommendations? The fabuous Phyrra! I find that I often wear the same shade as her or close to the same shade.

Foundation is an essential part of my Makeup Routine. I will fully admit that for everyday, I often opt for just a light dusting of my favorite powder foundation: MAC's Studio Fix in NC 15. However, when I have more time, or just really want to perfect my skin, I use a liquid foundation or a heavier-coverage BB Cream. My go-to BB Cream these days? Clinique's Age Defense BB Cream in Shade #01. My current favorite liquid foundation? Urban Decay's Naked Skin in Shade # 0.5. It looks so natural, the color match is fabulous, and it just makes my skin look great! In addition to these listed above, there are many other foundations that I love! Here are all of the ones that I am currently loving and always reaching for! What I pick to wear on a particular day just depends on the type of finish and coverage I am looking for. :)

It is time for another Makeup War!!! After taking a blogging break for a few weeks during my move (hope you have enjoyed all of the pre-scheduled posts!) it is so fun to dive back into a Makeup War! I have missed this!!!

What are Makeup Wars?

Before sharing my favorite peach/coral makeup item, let me tell you a little bit about Makeup Wars in general. The Makeup Wars Bloggers are a group of top beauty bloggers that publish coordinated bi-weekly posts. The Makeup Wars bloggers collectively pick topics to blog about (e.g., Top 10 Products, Beauty Pampering, etc). Then, we publish our posts at precisely the same time and link up through the graphic links and thumbnails at the top and bottom of our posts. It is always a big surprise to scroll through the links from the group to see what everyone picked!

I have found some truly great things that I am totally loving! Some of these products have been previously reviewed. Some of them have not (and I will give a brief review here). It is time for a favorites post! I am so excited!!! I am especially excited because I am featuring the cute graphic above from Beautysets! Have you guys had a chance to play around with Beautysets yet? So fun! I hope to create more lists there!!!

In the past, I featured Monthly Favorites. In the future, I think I will fluctuate between monthly and seasonal favorites. It seems that I went a couple months where I was literally just using the same products. So, I skipped a few months in favor of doing a seasonal Fall Favorites post instead! I just don't want to be too repetative. With that said, if ya'll really want to read favorites posts here on a monthly basis. Please let me know! I would be happy to do it monthly if ya'll really love reading these types of posts.

There are a ton of products that I am *totally loving* right now. Some products I stumbled upon recently and some of them are long-term faves. Buckle in ya'll as this is a long list! I seriously love everything mentioned here!

"Most Worn Things" for Summer of 2012!

As Fall rolls in and Summer comes to a close, it is time to ponder my "Most Worn Things" of the season! Typically I don't post may tags here on my blog...but, this one is too fun to pass up! I figure instead of my usual "Monthly Favorites" post this month, I will do this tag instead! I know that I always like to read this type of post on other blogs!

How did I choose the items? These are, quite simply, my most worn items of the Summer Season. We are talking daily basics here. I love creating lists like this (actually, lol, I am kinda a list freak). While I often focus on new product reviews on this blog, posts like this one allow me to focus on some daily basics and favorite products that I have been using all season long, and in the case of some items, feature products that I have loved for years!

What you will find are my daily basic Summer essentials. I live a casual lifestyle as a Stay-at-Mom with my little 8 month old baby. As much as I love glamour, my daily go-to items are fuss-free staples that are quick and easy to use. Most days I am out and about with my baby girl. These are items that help me to look and feel pretty while doing that!

Makeup Wars: Battle of the Taupes!

The Battle of the Taupes is the first of (hopefully) many Makeup Wars amongst myself and some of my favorite bloggers! Yes, this is a new and unique post roundup link series hosted here on Pammy Blogs Beauty and my fellow blogger's pages.

Here is the scoop:
After some general discussion amongst bloggers on the love of and comparison across taupe shadows, the Makeup Wars group was born. We are a group of Makeup Bloggers (and Star Wars lovers) led by our fearless commander Christine from 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic.

We embark upon our first battle: The Battle of the Taupes. All blogs participating are reviewing and swatching their favorite taupe shadows. Taupe is a unique and much-loved shade by bloggers. Is it brown? Is it grey? Is it grey-brown? I know my eyes started to almost go fuzzy while trying to determine what shadows were actually true "taupes"!

I will showcase my very favorite taupe shadow in this post (a well as a comparison of said shadow to other taupes in my makeup collection). Also included in this post: Links to fellow Makeup Wars blogger's Battle of the Taupes posts! Our group is unique!
There is something cool and different about the Makeup Wars group and concept. We are a group of bloggers from all walks of life, different colors of skin and hair, from across the country, and in different stages of life. We are bound by our love of makeup and our desire for blogging. I think it is a unique concept for us all to either review the same product for Makeup Wars or the same type of product (e.g., taupe shadow). Have you ever liked a product but wondered how it would work with a different hair type or color of skin? Have you ever read a favorite bloggers review but then thought, "But would this color work on my skin tone?" This group will have those answers for you!!! Variety is our strength! Collectively, we have a ton of great ideas and our discussions only increase our enthusiasm for the products we are reviewing! :)

Get Good Karma with BeneFit's Hervana Blush

There is just something about a blush from BeneFit. The adorable packaging design, the clunky box container, the lovely scent of the product. Each BeneFit blush almost seems to have a personality. The box design evokes a feeling. My mood determines which BeneFit blush I might want to grab. Feeling natural or classic? Dandelion. Looking for the wow factor? Grab Bella Bamba. You get the idea. These blushes were designed to be worn and to be collected. So many blushes in my collection end up going out of use over time, collecting dust. Not my BeneFit blushes though. BeneFit blushes beg to be worn and loved. I *heart* all the blushes in my makeup collection reguardless of brand or price. But, all my blushes are not loved equally. Somehow my BeneFit blushes seem just a little bit more special. They just have that extra "something" that makes them stand out.

I have mentioned many times before that I am a "blush girl". Somehow blush seems to "do it" for me more than almost any other type of makeup. Blush is my next-to last step when I am getting ready. It is the step that makes me go "ahh, now thats more like it! I'm ready!" So, when you combine my love of blush as a product with my love of the BeneFit brand with its cute packaging, lovely scented products, and great quality, you get one excited makeup shopper: Me!

October Favorites!

October 2010 Favorites!

Hello again dear readers! With having the day off today, I just couldn't resist doing another post! Here are my favorite items from the month of October. Some of these I have mentioned in previous blog posts...and some I will be reviewing in more detail in the future! So, in no particular order...

• Maybelline "Time for Wine" quad: Love this as an "everyday" quad. Applies nicely and just gives a great "not too made up" look for a casual Saturday or work. 
• Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner: Eastend Snob: Great nudeish pink with purple undertones. I have been reaching for this frequently. Love it!
• Essence Kajal Pencil in Teddy: See my previous essence rave. This is my all time fav eyeliner pencil and I have used it almost daily this month! 
• Too Faced Glamour Gloss: Pillow Talk: LOVE this gloss. This came from my Enchanted Glamourland Kit...and was probably the best "surprise" of the kit! It is a moisturizing lip plumper (super yummy sugar-cookie type flavor) in a beautiful sparkly nude. Absolutely beautiful!!! 
• BeneFit Powderflage: I am continuing to love this! See previous review! 
• Smith's Rosebud Salve: A classic! I am reaching for this more as the weather has turned colder. I keep it out on the counter in the bathroom or on my nightstand as I am constantly applying this lovely balm. I love the light rose scent. I put it on lips, dry spots, and cuticles. 
• Proactiv Solution: Renewing Cleanser: As someone who does not frequently get breakouts anymore...I found myself not knowing what to do this month as I experienced a "hormonal" breakout. Luckily my Bestie stepped in and gave me her spare bottle! I used this 2x last week and it completely cleared up my minor breakouts. This may be a new love for me! I am certainly going to use it whenever I have "problem issues". It might be too harsh for frequent use...but, man! did it clear up my skin last week! 
• Twilight Woods Body Splash and Triple Moisture Cream: I am totally loving this for Fall. Please see my previous review! For work, I don't like wearing "heavy" perfume as there are people with migraines, etc at work...so, I keep perfume for the weekends and evenings...and scented body splash/body creams for work. I love this Twilight Woods scent (and I love *Twilight*, tee-hee!). I keep the travel sized body splash in my purse for freshening up during the workday!
• Michael Kors Perfume: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this!!! It has a heavenly creamy gardenia type scent (I am not great at describing scents...but, love this yummy perfume!).
