Winter Boots from JustFab: Fuzzies and More!

Affiliate Link/Referral Link Press Sample

Winter Boots from JustFab: Fuzzies and More!!!
It is time for my monthly JustFab selections! :) Even though there is so much to choose from from JustFab (handbags, jewelry, jeans, shoes, etc), I just can't resist their boots!!! This month I opted for 2 comfortable pairs of flat boots: the Aspen in Silver and the Calvin in Dark Grey.

The Fuzzies Collection from JustFab: The Aspen in Silver:
Have you seen the "Fuzzies" Collection from JustFab? The "Fuzzies" are their assortment of "Ugg"-style faux fur lined comfort boots. They have a full assortment ranging from neutral browns, tans, and black to pink, purple, and even sparkly! Why not be sparkly when in in a comfortable boot? ;) Being 7 months pregnant, I am all-about cute and comfortable footwear!

This month, I selected the Aspen in Silver. What an adorable boot! Man, it is *blingy*!!! If Cinderella wore "Uggs", she would wear these Aspens, lol! These boots only come in full sizes. So, I ordered up from my usual 6/6 1/2 and got a size 7. While they look "huge", they actually fit really well. The fur lining inside takes up a lot of room. So, definitely go up a 1/2 size or more when you order. The base color of this boot is white and there is a sequin overlay on top. As I mentioned, these boots are super sparkly. So fun!!! I think that these would be especially cute if you are looking for a gift for a preteen or teenage girl as they have that bit of "whimsy" that makes them special.

The Calvin in Dark Grey:
I also got the Calvin in Dark Grey this month. I am *in love* with this boot! They are comfortable and casual with just a bit of a modern edge. This boot's material is a distressed faux leather that looks really realistic. The rustic zipper and buckle detailing add the edge. I found these boots to fit *very* loose through the calf. So, if you have skinny legs like me, you might find this boot to be a bit too loose. However, I tuck my jeans into these anyways. So, they still look good...they just feel very "loose". This Dark Grey color goes with everything! Overall, I am very happy with these cool boots!

I love my JustFab boots that I got this month!!! My fellow JustFab lovers, what have you ordered and loved lately? I am already starting to make my wishlist for next month! :)

XOXO!!!

New from beautyADDICTS: GlimmerSHEER duo balm Highlighters!

Affiliate Link Press Sample

While I love the look of an overall matte complexion, well placed highlighting can capture the light to accentuate your bone structure and give you an overall glow without making you look overly shiny nor greasy. It is the best of both worlds! You can have your matte skin (if that is what you prefer) and just strategically place your glow where you want it. :) This is so easy to do with these new GlimmerSHEERs from beautyADDICTS

GlimmerSHEERS are duo balm highlighters in a sleek and pretty compact. The compacts themselves are really nice: pink metallic with an inner mirror. The inside contains two types of balm highlighters: a shimmery-creamy balm and a clear jelly-like gloss balm. The "Glimmer" shimmery-cream is a softly pigmented traditional highlighter that gives a lovely sheen and a soft focus highlighting effect. The "Sheer" clear jelly-like gloss is a clear tinted luminizer that works to hydrate your skin and give it a very subtle glowing effect. You can either layer these products together or wear separately. I will fully admit that I use the "Glimmer" side of these duos much more frequently than the "Sheer" side. I really love the highlighting effect! It seems to have much more impact than the "Sheer" side.

GlimmerSHEERs come in 4 shades: Glow, Express, Motivate, and Seduce. I tried out Express (a duo of a vanilla/beige shimmer highlighter and a clear tinted jelly gloss: the tint almost looks completely clear with a slight gold tint) and Motivate (a duo of a soft baby pink highlighter and a sheer pink jelly gloss). To use (either side), I just lightly swipe my finger tips into the pan and apply directly to my face on areas that I wish to highlight: my upper cheek bones, down the center of my nose, over my brow, and on my chin. The highlighter side gives a nice radiance and the clear side gives a very subtle dewy finish to your skin.

The Skinny:
beautyADDICTS GlimmerSHEERs retail for $28.00 each on beautyaddicts.com

Overall, I love the ease of using these highlighters! It is such a quick and easy way to add glow to your look while emphasizing your bone structure.

XOXO!!!

Makeup Wars: Holiday Beauty Wishlist!!!

Nothing to Disclose Affiliate Link

It is time for another Makeup War!!! This week's Makeup Wars post is pure fun and fantasy: it is my Makeup Holiday Wishlist! I have not tried any of these items. These are simply the makeup items that I am lusting after. The items that I am wishing Santa will put in my stocking. Some of these have been around while, some are new, and some are LE Holiday items. Reguardless, I want 'em! ;)

What are Makeup Wars?
Before sharing my Holiday Wishlist, let me share a little bit about the idea behind Makeup Wars. The Makeup Wars Bloggers are a group of top beauty bloggers that publish coordinated bi-weekly posts. The Makeup Wars bloggers collectively pick topics to blog about (e.g., Top 10 Products, Beauty Pampering, etc). We publish our posts at precisely the same time and link up through the graphic links and thumbnails at the bottom of our posts. Be sure to click through the thumbnail links at the bottom of this post to read through everyone's posts! :)
My Holiday 2013 Beauty Wishlist:
  • Conair Infiniti Pro Curl Secret: I am so intrigued by this unique hair tool! Somehow it magically sucks in your hair and spits out a perfect curl. It both frightens me and excites me at the same time. It is pricey at $99.00. However, if it works as well as it promises, then the price would be well worth it!
  • LORAC Pro Palette: I honestly can't believe that I don't own this palette yet! I love that it features a full range of neutral shades from light to dark in both matte and shimmer finishes. A great deal for $42.00.
  • Urban Decay Naked Basics: I can't believe that I don't own this yet either! A neutral lovers dream palette! I need this! :) Seriously, at $27.00, I should just head out and buy this one now.
  • Hayworth Lingerie Chest by Pier 1: First of all, I am obsessed with Pier 1 furniture and home decor. We just moved into a new house 3 months ago and I am slowly filling it up with Pier 1 furniture and accessories! My husband just surprised me with the Hayworth Vanity a couple weeks ago! He knew it was on my wishlist for ages. What a guy!!! ;) Well, now I want the Hayworth Lingerie Chest for my makeup storage. I am actually planning on splurging on this for my "Christmas Gift for Myself" this year!!! I can't wait! I am going to sit this right next to my vanity to store all my makeup. My makeup is currently in my closet and I hate walking back and forth to my vanity table (and I don't want to sit my IKEA Alex next to a mirrored vanity...it just wouldn't look right). I am hoping to downsize my makeup collection, too. If it doesn't fit into this chest, then I am not keeping it.
  • Glam Glow Gift Set or Glam Glow Mask: I hear that this Glam Glow mask is totally amazeballs. At typically $69 for a tub, I think that the gift set that Sephora is offering is a great price (and you get to try more from the line). I am seriously dying to try this!
  • BeneFit Rockateur Blush: I adore BeneFit's blushes. I have a bit of a collection and I am dying to add this! I hear that it looks beautiful on. Plus, BeneFit blushes always smell amazing.
So, that is it! My Holiday 2013 Beauty Wishlist!!! I know that I am forgetting a million things. I mean, seriously, as soon as I publish this I will smack my head because I will think of more things. :) However, the list must end somewhere, right?

What do you all want for the beauty-wise for the Holidays? Have you tried any of my wishlist items? If so, I would love to hear how you like these things!!! :)

Happy Holidays!!!
XOXO!!!

Benefit Gimme Brow: Tame those Unruly Brows!

Press  Sample Affiliate Link/Referral Link Blogger Ambassador

My brows strugggle. Really. They are super thick, they constantly need trimming and plucking, and they never seem to naturally go in the right direction. Brow gels were invented for unruly brows like mine. So, when Birchbox asked me to review their new product Gimme Brow by Benefit, I was happy to try it out!

I love the ease of this brow gel! I use the light shade. While I am blonde, my brows are on the dark side. The light tint shade is a light cool-toned taupey-brown. Gimme Brow features a water-resistant fiber gel that adheres to both your skin and brow hair. It holds my brows in place very well and it gives them a nice tint, too.  The color looks very natural on and it seems to automatically "fill in" those sparse areas. Plus, I love that the brush is super small! I find that it is easy to control and very precise. The gel holds my brows in place all day without giving them an overly stiff feel like other brow gels tend to do.

This product retails for $22.00 in the Birchbox shop. Plus, this month, Birchbox subscribers get 50 extra Birchbox points when you purchase this product *and* if you enter the code BADGAL in at checkout you will also get a deluxe sample size BadGal mascara!

What do you do to tame your brows? Are you a brow gel user, too? If so, be sure to scope out Gimme Brow! :) I love it!!!

Top Ten Tuesdays: Top 10 Concealers

I Bought It  Affiliate Link Press Sample

Concealers are near and dear to my heart. As anyone with deep/dark hereditary dark undereye circles knows, concealer is a game-changer! Gone are the days of hearing the dreaded "you look tired" comments...a great concealer can banish pesky dark circles!!! So, needless to say, the main focus of my concealer search is finding good concealers for the under eye area. My criteria? I need opaque coverage and heavy pigmentation. Plus, the formula can't be too drying nor too moist. If it is too drying it can accentuate fine lines and if it is too moist it will not be long-wearing enough. Also, the shade must be right! I have uber-fair skin. So, I need porcelain shades and/or color corrective shades.

Top Ten Tuesdays:
For those of you not familiar, Top Ten Tuesdays is a blog link up series where Top Beauty Bloggers share their Top 10(ish) items in a given category. As a list lover, I love to both write these posts as well as scroll through the other Top Ten Tuesdays blogger's lists! What a great way to find out about products that Beauty Bloggers really use and love! Be sure to click through the thumbnails at the bottom of this post to see what my fellow Top Ten Tuesdays bloggers are loving for concealer! :)

So, lets jump right into this week's Top Ten Tuesday feature: My Current Top 10 Concealers!!!
Ok, so most people probably don't even have 10 concealers in their makeup collection. Well, I am not normal when it comes to concealers, lol...plus, I am a beauty-blogger and makeup lover! Concealers are my jam. Sure, I love my blushes, I adore my palettes...but, my concealers? I can't live without em! I am constantly testing new ones in hopes that it will be "the one"!

Getting to Know Me: Pammy answers 20 Questions from the Beauty Spotlight Team

Nothing to Disclose

Welcome to the Beauty Spotlight Team's new series!!! The Beauty Spotlight Team bloggers are taking turns answering some personal questions about ourselves. This is such a fun opportunity for me to let you readers get to know me a bit better. :) This is fun! I hope you enjoy reading my responses. xoxo
1)  Last book you read? While I used to be a voracious reader, these days it takes me forever to get through a book. Being in my 7th month of pregnancy, I tend to fall asleep every time I sit down to read, lol! I can't remember the last book that I completed? I think it was actually Safe Haven.

2) Last concert you went to? Radiohead!!! It was *aweseome*! I am such a fan. Those guys actually sound better live. I wouldn't doubt if Thom Yorke has perfect pitch.

3) Do you have a special talent? I honestly can't think of anything!

4) What makes you feel beautiful? I tend to feel beautiful when I am feeling confident. I seem to get more confident the older I get. So, I am looking forward to feeling more beautiful throughout the years ahead!

5) Do you have a guilty pleasure? My guilty pleasures are my vampire/fantasy fiction tv shows and books! While I am (cough) almost 40, I seem to generally love the whole young adult fantasy fiction genre. Vampire Diaries, The Origionals, and Pretty Little Liars are my current favorite "guilty pleasure" shows. My all-time favorite tv show? Buffy the Vampire Slayer!

6) What time do you wake up in the morning? 5:45. I know, I am a crazy morning person. I have to get up that early to get my "me" time in as well as my blogging time in. I am a stay-at-home Mommy of a Toddler. I devote all my daytime hours to Mommy hood and only blog, do yoga, shower, have me-time, etc... when I am not otherwise needed by my daughter. So, that means I need to get up really early to squeeze that time in. I feel like I can be a better parent when I give myself some time, too.

7) When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Like many kids, I went through phases with what I wanted to be. Here were my top picks: a ballerina or a doctor. I love to dance and love science. So, either could have been a good fit. However, I ended up quitting ballet in high school. Also, I decided that a nurse might be a better option for me than a doctor (less school and fewer hours). Then I started college as a nursing major and realized that I literally can't stand the sight of blood. It makes me woozy and light headed. I remember almost passing out while trying to put a band-aid on my bleeding foot and my roommate telling me "you really need to change your major"! She was so right! So, what did I end up being? A Speech-Language Pathologist!!! It was a great fit actually. I love the science of it and really enjoy doing therapy with children. I worked for 12 years as a Speech Therapist before giving up my career to be a stay-at-home Mommy. I will end up going back to it one day. I am keeping up my license in the meantime.
8) Are you a cat person or a dog person? A dog person. I grew up with cats. I love them, too. However, I am so allergic! Plus, dogs are just more personable. We have a 12 year old Springer Spaniel, Casey, and I love her to pieces. She was my first "baby"!

9) What was your first real job? See question #7. :) I literally got hired for my first job before I even graduated from Grad School. So, I went straight from school to my first, and only real job! I worked as a Speech-Language Pathologist for a local county's Early Childhood Program. I served children from the ages of 2-5 with Speech and Language impairments. My caseload ranged from children with mild speech impairments to even children with severe-profound global impairments. While I love doing therapy with all sorts of speech issues, I do have some favorite types of therapy. My favorite populations to work with? Children with Autism and children with Apraxia of Speech.

10) If you were given a shopping spree at one store, what store would you like it to be? Nordstrom: Just because you can get everything there...great makeup, clothes, shoes, bags...

11) What is your most favorite discontinued item? Probably Shiseido's Optimal Cover Concealer. I think it was the best under eye concealer that I ever used. It completely covered my super dark under eye circles. I really have not been able to find anything to compare.

12) Finish this sentence: Don't start a beauty blog if….you don't really honestly and truly love products. People in my life often wonder how I find the time and energy to blog with my busy life. It is a challenge. However, since I really do love trying and exploring products, it is fun for me!!! Writing is the easy part. The product testing? Pure fun!!! I love that I can step into my bathroom or shower and feel like I am having a spa experience with all of the amazing products that I have at my fingertips. I have always been a writer and can write very efficiently and quickly. For me, the time consuming part is the photography and the tech stuff (which I have a TON of help with thanks to my dear friend Christine). Anyways, my whole point is that if you don't truly love it, blogging will feel like another "job". It will lose its "fun" if it feels like work.

13) What type of product is the most fun for you to test and review? Bath and Shower Products! I love stepping into my bath for a "spa" experience with new and fun goodies. I really love diving into skincare product testing, too. I love studying up about a new skincare brand or product and learning all about the ingredients and what the product does for your skin. I also really enjoy exploring the seasonal makeup collections! Okay, you got me...I kinda love it all! ;)

14) When you shop for makeup, skincare and perfume, do you do it with the blog in mind first and foremost-- or with your own use in mind? Totally with my own use in mind. I am a bit of an enthusiast! The only exception is if I am shopping for an ongoing blog series. For example, I have a semi-monthly series about building a core MAC makeup collection. So, I shop monthly for that with my blog post in mind.
15) How has your relationship to beauty products changed since you began blogging? My relationship with products has certainly evolved. Every time I use something, I am critiquing it in my head. Do I like the scent? How does it make my hair/skin feel. Does it rinse clean? Does a makeup item look good with my coloring? How would I describe the texture, etc. I have little notepads all over my bathroom and vanity area to jot down random thoughts about products. I also use the notes app on my phone all the time for notes on products. Sometimes I will literally be in the middle of my evening skincare routine and I have to grab my laptop to write down some thoughts about the products that I am using.
16) What is your greatest joy about blogging? Getting to know my fellow bloggers! Seriously!!! When I first started blogging...it was simply because I loved products and had tried about a million. I wanted to share about the products that I really felt were fabulous! Before blogging, I spent a lot of time reading beauty blogs and reading beauty message boards. I learned so much from these fellow product lovers. So, I felt that blogging was my way to contribute. What I didn't expect or even know  about was the fact that the beauty community was a wonderful place to carve out blog-based friendships! I am now connected with some really wonderful bloggers through the various groups that I am a part of: The Beauty Spotlight Team, The Beauty Blog Coalition, The Makeup Wars/ Top Ten Tuesdays group, and my local Metro Atlanta Beauty Bloggers group. These ladies are not only a resource for all-things blog related, but also they are incredibly supportive and encouraging in general! My goal is to some day meet up with some of these great girls in person!!! I have met my local girls. However, most of us are spread throughout the country (and even internationally). So, my hope is to be able to connect some day with these ladies in person.
17) How much time do you spend blogging per week? It really varies. When I have more time, I blog more and "get ahead". So, that when I get busy, I can sometimes go for a few days without blogging. Ideally, I like to blog about 2 weeks ahead to build in a nice cushion. However, with being pregnant, I am having a bit of a harder time keeping up with all my fatigue. I mean, I literally fall asleep when I sit down on the couch these days, lol! I would say, in general, I do about 1 1/2-2 hours of blog work in the weekday mornings before everyone is up. That is not only blogging but also answering PR emails (this takes a ton of time with all the emails that I get). Throughout the day, I catch up here and there with other blog-related tasks like trying out products, participating in my blog FB groups/message boards, and answering emails. I do a little bit of photo editing in the afternoons when my toddler naps (in between folding laundry and eating lunch, etc). I will fully admit that my goal is to "cut back". I am having another baby in 2 months (OMG!!!). I know that my time is going to be even more limited then. So, you guys are going to see a bit of a slow down in posting. Also, I will take a good month or so off completely when I first get home with my new baby. :) My hope is to pre-schedule some content for that time. However, I am finding it hard to get ahead lately with my fatigue (and the holidays).
18) If you could start your blog all over again, what would you differently? This is easy. I would *totally* come up with a better/more clever name!
19) What is the best piece of advice that you would give an aspiring beauty blogger? Write about the products that you love! It is that simple. :) It works for me.
20) Do you consider your blog a hobby, or is it part of a larger career objective? It is totally a hobby for me. If I ever go back to work, it will be as a Speech-Language Pathologist. :) Unless somehow I am magically able to create my own brand of skincare, bath, and makeup! Now that would be a dream come true! :)

Okay folks, that is it! I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a bit better with these questions. Stay tuned as I will be posting links to my fellow Beauty Spotlight Team members questions and responses every few weeks. :) I can't wait to read their responses to these questions, too!

My Skin Loves: NEW L'Occitane Immortelle (Creme Divine and Divine Eyes Review!)

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Have you ever tried L'Occitane? Their new Immortelle line is my first introduction into this brand! Let me tell you, these products have made me a new L'Occitane fan!!!

The Legend Behind Immortelle: The Immortal flower of Corsica:
According to L'Occitane, the island of Corsica is the home of an Immortal Flower called Helichrysum (which means the Golden Sun). It is a flower that does not fade, even when it is picked. L'Occitane set up an organic cultivation program which has now preserved this flower and over 3 billion Immortelle flowers are harvested every year now for L'Occitane. L'Occitane has patented the amazing anti-aging properties of the organic Corsican Immortelle. The key extracted ingredient? Neryl Acetate. L'Occitane is still researching this amazing flower. They have 5 more patents pending! The Corsican Immortellle Flower works at the "heart of cells": DNA Protection and DNA Repair. All of the products in the Immortelle line are infused with the Helichrysum's anti-aging ingredients.

The L'Occitane Immortelle Line:
  • Divine Lotion $54
  • Divine Extract $116
  • Divine Cream $106
  • Divine Eyes $76
I tried out two products from this line: The Immortelle Divine Creme and the Immortelle Divine Eyes. To find out how I liked these luxurious products, please click "read more" below!

The Weekly Question: Would you rather give up your Skincare Routine or Makeup for 2 months? (hint: my picks for favorite bar soaps!)

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

Photobucket

Every other Wednesday, the Metro Atlanta Beauty Bloggers answers a beauty-related question just for fun!

This week's question is...

If you had to either give up ALL makeup for two months or give up your skincare routine for a week and just simply wash your face with soap and water.. which would you pick?

Give Up Makeup or Give Up Skincare Routine???
What would I do? I would give up my skincare routine! If I was forced to choose (thank God we don't have to *really* choose to do this!), I would rather wash my face with soap and water than give up makeup. Mostly, I don't want to give up on using concealer for my dark under eye circles! I don't want to walk around for 2 months looking like I have black eyes.

Plus, I have a secret...I love bar soap! Really, I do! Typically, I do use liquid cleansers for my face. However, I love bar soap for the shower for my body and I do love a few bar soaps for the face!

My Picks for Facial Bar Soap:
  • Sibu's Sea Buckthorn Cleansing Bar: Oooooh! Ya'll know that I love Sibu. :) Their Sea Buckthorn Cleansing Bar really is amazing. While I do slightly prefer their liquid soap version, I would be totally happy cleansing my face with this wonderful bar for 2 months! If you missed my full review, please check it out here. :)
  • Dove Sensitive Skin Bar Soap: I will fully admit that I have not used this soap in years. However, this soap was previously one of my standard facial cleansers when I was on Retin-A treatment. It was what my Dermatologist recommended that I use...and I am a rule-follower, so I used it! :) I like the sensitive, unscented version of this soap. :)
  • Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bars: Here is another old favorite bar soap: Neutrogena's classic glycerin soap!!! I used this for years and would be happy to venture back to it! It is super gentle and leaves you clean without over drying. You really can't go wrong with this bar soap! :)
So, what would you do if you were forced to choose between your Skincare Routine or your Makeup??? What would you give up?

Also, if you are a bar soap lover, I would really like to hear what your choices are for bar soaps! :)

As always, thanks for reading! Please be sure to visit the links below to my fellow Atlana area beauty blogger's posts! :) xoxo

Top 10 Tuesdays: Cold Weather Skincare: Top Moisturizers

Press  Sample Affiliate Link Blogger Ambassador

Top Ten Tuesdays:
Welcome back to Top Ten Tuesdays!!! For those of you not familiar, Top Ten Tuesdays is a blog link up series where Top Beauty Bloggers share their Top 10 (ish) items in a given category. As a list lover, I love to both write these posts as well as scroll through the other Top Ten Tuesdays blogger's lists! What a great way to find out about products that Beauty Bloggers really use and love! Be sure to click through the thumbnails at the bottom of this post to see what my fellow Top Ten Tuesdays bloggers are loving for Cold Weather Skincare!

This month we are talking about one of my favorite topics: Skincare!!! Now that the cold weather has finally arrived in Georgia, I am making the switch to my cold weather skincare products. While I do use many of these products year round, their richness makes them perfect for cold weather. My skin does generally get much drier in the winter. My combo-oily skin shifts to combo-dry. My body skin gets very dry and even chapped. So, I need products to combat these issues!

MAC Matters: Building a Core MAC Collection with (less than) $21 a Month!

I Bought It/Affiliate Link

It is time for a long-awaited MAC Matters update!

For those of you who are new to this series, here is the scoop: What is "MAC Matters"?
This series was born when I realized that I could build up a great MAC Core Collection with (less than) the cost of my most expensive monthly beauty sample subscription. So, I cancelled said subscription and put my theory to the test!

For me, this MAC Matters Challenge is just a fun experiment to help me curb some of my beauty spending. I find that I am spending very wisely when MAC shopping for this challenge. Plus, the items that I have purchased are things that I truly love! No matter what your stance is on beauty boxes, a well researched purchase of a needed makeup item is always a good idea. If beauty box samples are just cluttering up your makeup drawers, then you might consider this challenge! :) I think you will be thrilled with what you can do with an average of $21 a month at MAC (or any of your favorite brands)!

Does this challenge sound fun? It is!!! Join if you like! I just ask that you link back to me in your post as the creator of this challenge. :) But, you don't have to be a blogger...you can just join by sharing your MAC shopping in the comments here.

I apologize that it has been a couple months since I have done a MAC Matters update! With moving, getting settled, etc...I just got off track with this challenge. I blame living further away from a MAC Counter! :) Well ladies, I am back on track and have a renewed motivation for this year-long challenge.

The best part of this month's challenge? Makeup shopping with a fellow blogger!!! Quinn from Mama Fashionista (who is participating in this challenge with me) and I met up to do our MAC Matters shopping together! It was so fun!!! I am impressed with how well Quinn has planned out her MAC Matters spending. She has planned completely in advance and knows exactly what she wants to buy each time. I have a list, too. However, I try to get what "hits me" at the counter from my list of possibilities. I certainly want to meet up with her again for more makeup shopping!!! Be sure to check out her link to read her MAC Matters update. I wish that I had taken the time to get a picture taken with her that day to post here!!!

The Challenge Rules:
Build a MAC Collection using an average of $21.00 per month:
  • Purchase at least one item a month: If the item is under $20, save the remainder for the next month. While there are many items priced under $20, there are plenty that are over the $20 range that can be "saved" for.
  • Do a monthly blog posts for one year to share what you get. Lets see what kind of core collections we can build in a years time!
  • To coordinate with my "Build a Core MAC Collection" purchases, I will also be posting "MAC Matters: From the Stash" reviews! These "stash" items are MAC items that I love that are already in my makeup collection. Some months, I will be "saving" my $21 to go towards a bigger MAC purchase. This is when you will most likely see the "stash" posts. Or, I might include a "stash" item mini review within my "Build a Core MAC Collection" posts because if you are reading this because you want to build your own MAC collection, you might enjoy reading about what I am already using and loving!
  • If this series is popular, I will repeat the series with another brand upon completion of 12 months with MAC.
  • If you decide to join this challenge: Please be sure to include a link back to my blog in your post crediting me as the creator of this challenge! :) Also, feel free to send me your links to your MAC Matters posts that I can include in my monthly postings.
  • Note: You do not have to cancel your monthly beauty sample subscription to join in! You can certainly do this challenge *in addition* to being a beauty sample subscriber! The whole point is just to see what you can do with *the same* amount of money that you might spend on a $20 monthly beauty box. :)
