 Affiliate Link Press Sample

I am so excited about the launch of 6 new limited edition shades to the already amazing Color Therapy Line from Sally Hansen. With these new gemstone inspired shades, your nails will shine like never before. The tones are perfect for fall, winter and the holidays, the new elegant jewel tone shades will add richness to any look!

This collection is stone cold stunning! The shades are inspired by multi-faceted luxurious gemstones.  The Sally Hansen Color Therapy range introduces 6 new opulent shades designed to elevate every autumn and winter look.

Sally Hansen’s Color Therapy nail polish contains a patented micro-delivery system that delivers an argan oil enhancing formula, resulting in intensive nourishment and instant moisture for healthier-looking nails. The Color Therapy nail polish needs no base coat so the oil complex can directly contact the bare nail. I get great wear from this line of polishes. According to Sally Hansen, the polish glides on for a radiant, shiny finish with up to 10 days of fade-proof, chip-resistant wear. The Color Therapy nail polish provides the ultimate rich color that cares while you wear, with everything needed to help restore nails without sacrificing luminous, pigmented hues.

There are five beautiful shades in this collection and I got to try out three of them. Here are the ones that I tried out:

Opulent Pearl Opt for over-the-top iridescence in a glossy white pearl hue

Pink Sapphire Pamper your nails with this luxe electric pink

Orchid Amethyst You’ll be mesmerized by this dazzling orchid tone

I just adore these beautiful polishes! Be sure to scoop one (or all) of them up while they are available! They are limited edition, so if you are interested. Be sure to look for these before they are gone.

Top Ten Tuesdays: Nail Polishes for Autumn

Press Sample Affiliate Link Blogger Ambassador

It finally feels like Fall here in Georgia! The air is crisp and cool in the mornings and the Sun is out and shining in the afternoons (on a good day!). Autumn in full-swing. The season's full arrival is sure reflected in my nail color! While the weather has cooled, it is still to hot here to dive into all the gorgeous new sweaters and boots that I see in the magazines and on Fashion blogs. So, I get into the Fall mode with my nail color! Plus, hello, Halloween is almost upon us and there are certainly some fun nail looks that I like to explore to get festive! Fall in Georgia is my favorite time of the year. So, I really have an affinity for Fall Nail Polish as well!

It was *so hard* to pick only 10 polishes for this post...I mean *so hard*! So, I tried to focus primarily on polishes that I am gravitating towards currently. Many of these are new releases since that is honestly what I play with more often! The result, I couldn't pick just 10...but got "close" with 13.

So, without further ado, here are my picks for Top Ten (13, wink!) Nail Polishes for Autumn 2015:
I am going to break them down into "categories":
Festive/Press On Nails:

Broadway Nails Halloween Press On Nails: These press-on-nails by Broadway Nails are just *so fun*....and super quick! I haven't used press-on nails in a few years. So, it is fun to experiment with these. I have tried a nice little variety from the brand and am saving these two designs for the 2 weeks leading up to Halloween! Broomstick is a sexy twist on a french manicure with black tips, a spider web, and a glittery spider. My husband actually thinks these look super-sexy. So, I am going to wear them the week before Halloween when we are hitting a cool Halloween party together. :) The Cauldron Set is a super festive mix of orange and black nails with jack-o-lantern faces, spider webs, spiders, and a black glitter accent nail. I will wear these the week of Halloween! Yay! These are such a great alternative to polish! They are super quick and easy and the best part: no dry time. Plus, your manicure looks perfect (and lets face it, my nails usually don't look perfect).
Fun, Glittery, or Unique Polishes:
KBShimmer: If you are looking for unique and beautiful polishes, look no further than KBShimmer! Their polishes always stand out in my collection for being truly unique and remarkably different! I selected two polishes from KBShimmer for today's Top 10 post: Be Scareful (Dots, shreds and circles in orange and black swim among a near white crelly base. After dark, this polish glows ghoulish green.  Since glow powder is heavy, I suggest rolling/shaking before application) and I Feel Gourd-geous (A coppery champagne color, this fine holographic polish shines in the light. Two –three coats offers a beautifully neutral full coverage polish). Both of these polishes are from their new Fall/Winter 2015 Collection (if you missed my full review post, check it out here). I am obsessed with Be Scareful because it *glows in the dark* (OMG! How fun for Halloween parties!!!). I Feel Gourd-geous has seriously got to be one of the most beautiful polishes I have ever used. Ever. I seriously will paint my nails with this week after week (and I almost never repeat back-to-back). It is sparkly and pretty and seriously the best "neutral" ever!
Orly Glitters: These two, I believe, were released last year (or the year before) for Halloween. This time of year, I love reaching for Monster Mash (lime green holographic glitter) and Right Amount of Evil (orange holographic glitter). These are great on their own or layered over other polishes. They are festive and fun for sure!

Colorful:
Just because it is Fall doesn't mean that you have to completely shy away from color! Sure, the neons and brights of Summer are out of my rotation. However, I just can't resist my signature blues and purples, and pinks. These three from SinfulColors are just gorgeous and in heavy rotation on my nails and toes right now: Too Cool For Pool, Royal Flush, and No Filter. I am especially fond of fuschia colors for nails and toes. So, Royal Flush (gorgeous Fuchsia creme), in particular is a huge fave!!! Royal Flush and Too Cool for Pool (Periwinkle with very subtle iridescent micro sparkle) are from the SinfulShine 2-step (no light) gel polish system. Just apply the step 1 Gel Nail Color and then top it off with the Gel Topcoat. It is that easy! I do find that these manicures last just a bit longer than my usual manicure. So, I am thrilled with the results! No Filter (iridescent Twilight blue) is from the Oh Snap Collection. I love this deep shade. It is colorful; yet, so deep and rich for Fall. Plus, have I mentioned that SinfulColors are an amazing deal at the drugstore! For just a few dollars, you can try as many shades as you want! :)

Deep, Dark, Red, and Metallic:

My Inspiration: My PERFECT Red Lip
No Fall/Winter Nail Polish Collection would be complete without some Red and some Metallic! Now seriously ya'll, I am not normally a red lipstick and polish girl. However, the tide has turned! I am really on a red lippie and polish kick. Do you know what jump started this trend for me? The StarWars Collection from COVERGIRL! I am *obcessed* with StarWars and flippin adore this collection. I completely fell in love with the lipstick Red #30. It is absolutely the *perfect* red. It has just enough of a cool undertone to work perfectly with my skin. It is a gorgeous true red and has me completely converted. It is now an "everyday" Red lippie for me (I NEVER thought I would have an "everyday") red! Can I tell you one other awesome thing, besides it being a Star Wars item, this lipstick seriously lasts all day on me. Sure it fades a bit when I eat. But, my lips look gorgeous all day with very little re-application when I wear this. I don't wear a lot of makeup day-to-day. So, a nice pop of color on my lips goes a long way! Sorry, total digression here! Lets get back to polish.

So, my point is...falling in love with red lips has me now turning to reds for my tips and toes, too! The Star Wars Collection from COVERGIRL has a gorgeous true red polish #180 Red Revenge and I am also loving Nemesis #195 (a deep eggplant). These polishes are the awesome Outlast formula which is a great 1-step super glossy polish. I love these for a quickie mani! If you haven't checked out the Star Wars Collection yet from COVERGIRL, you definately should before it sells out or becomes hard to find! The assortment of lippies, polish, and mascara is awesome! A must-have for any Star Wars fan like me! :)

One of my other favorite polish lines is the Complete Salon Manicure Collection from Sally Hansen. Fabulous formula and a great choice for colors! For Autumn, I am loving #863 Maasai Red (deep red/burgundy creme) and #871 Lady T (Silver Sparkle Metallic).

Be sure to check out my fellow Top Ten Tuesdays bloggers posts (see below). I can't wait to see what they are wearing on their nails this Fall! :)

Fall Nails with KBShimmer!

Press Sample Affiliate Link Blogger Ambassador

One of my very biggest ways to mark a change in season is to transition my nail color! As soon as the weather starts getting cool and the Fall season arrives, I jump right into my Fall polish shades. As much as I love my Summer pinks and brights, the deeper and more muted shades of Fall excite me, too!

KBShimmer has a beautiful assortment of truly unique polishes for Fall! Since discovering this brand a couple years ago, KBShimmer has quickly become one of my top go-to polish brands. I love having stand out nails with shades that get noticed. Almost without fail, someone will ask me what I am wearing on my tips or toes when I use KBShimmer polishes. They are honestly just that unique!
Fall 2015 with KBShimmer:
What a gorgeous Fall Collection! This Fall Collection from KBShimmer features 12 all-new shades! The shades range in formula, finish, and shade for a variety of Fall looks. From holographic polishes to funky glitters to classic red, you are going to want to dive right into these beautiful polishes!

Here is the Skinny:
Fall 2015 KBShimmer Collection Shades and Descriptions:
  • Be Scareful: Orange and black dots, shreds, and circles swim among a near white crelly base. After dark, this polish glows ghoulish green! OMG! This polish is so fun. I honestly didn't know that it glowed and then almost freaked out at night when my hands were resting on my pillow glowing! There is no question: I will be wearing this one for Halloween...the glow factor is just too fun. Plus, I love this interesting twist on a white polish.
  • I feel Gourd-geous: I Instagramed this one as soon as I first tried it. This might be the *prettiest* polish that I have ever worn. A coppery champagne color, this fine holographic polilsh shines in the light. The glittery holographic effect is fantastic! Plus, the champagne shade makes it so neutral and wearable. I am going to live in this polish this season...one of my new all-time faves...ever!!! I like loading this one up in like 3 coats with no base for a gorgeous effect.
  • Open Toad Shoes: A soft olive green crelly with pops of navy, burgundy, and chartreuse glitters and hints of holographic shimmer. This polish is so unique! I have absolutely nothing like it in my collection.
  • Such a Vlad-Ass: A deepened blood red cream with blue undertones. This is *exactly* the type of red that I love to wear: a deep true one with a blue undertone. So flattering! Love!!!
  • Fig-Get About It: A linear holographic polish in a darkened fig color burgundy. Man, this one is pretty. This is absolutely gorgeous for tips or toes. This purpley shade is one of my faves for eyeshadow, too. Love, love, love it!
  • Soul Deep: A blackened blurple cream, this deep midnight blue has purple undertones for a dark and dramatic look. I love wearing shades like this when I want dark vampy nails but don't want a classic black. This is a great alternative (and more interesting!). I get awesome coverage in one coat with this one.
  • Dark & Twisty: All of these have fun names...but this name is the best. I mean, lol, I wear it when I want to feel Dark & Twisty! ;) A black jelly polish loaded with fine metallic glitters in a rainbow of colors. This is another great option for a Halloween mani! Such a fun and festive polish for this time of year. I like 2 coats of this one to darken the jelly color.
  • Carpe Denim: A dark denim, navy jelly polish loaded with small silver holographic glitters. Just like your favorite pair of denim jeans, this polish is perfect for everyday sparkle on your tips or toes. I am a huge fan of wearing blue polish and this one is already in heavy rotation for me! Pretty! Pretty!
  • Breaking Blues: A darkened Periwinkle blue polish with a cream finish. Have I mentioned lately that Periwinkle is one of my favorite shades...ever! I adore this polish. I find that this is actually a great shade to wear year-round. It is just so pretty and a unique shade to wear. Love, love, love it!!! It is gorgeous on its own or layered underneath a glitter.
  • Talk Qwerty To Me: A shimmering teal polish, this fun shade has pops of blue and gold micro flakes. This is actually more of a Spring/Summer shade to me. So, while I am not wearing it much now, I am going to totally rock this in the warmer weather. It is lovely!
  • Teal It To My Heart: A strongly pigmented teal polish with a cream finish. In the Winter, I am a fan of the combo of teal and brown. So, this is going to be a great accent color for when I am wearing a lot of brown shades in my wardrobe. A nice cream polish!
  • I've Seen Sweater Days: A muted teal crelly, pops of blue cobalt glitter, lime green holo glitters and silver glitters accent this polish. This polish is so pretty for Winter! This polish makes me want to have a Frozen-movie marathon, lol, or a snow day. Super pretty!

What do you think of this collection from KBShimmer for Fall 2015? Gorgeous, right? It is hard for me to pick favorites from this awesome assortment, but if I was hard-pressed to pick my faves from this collection, they would be: Carpe Denim, I Feel Gourd-Geous, Breaking Blues, and Fig-About It (plus Be Scareful for the "fun factor" with the glow-in-the-dark effect for Halloween!). What are your faves?

Polish Love: KBShimmer Summer Collection!

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

Alas, it is Back-to-School time already! Gone are the long and carefree days of Summer Vacation. However, in GA where I live, it is still totally hot. For me, nail polish selection is completely seasonal and weather-dependent. Sure, the Fall is just around the corner, but as long as the heat is still on here in GA, I will be rockin' Summer shades on my tips and toes!

In the past year, KBShimmer has become one of my very favorite nail polish lines. The polishes are just *so unique*! Plus, as a glitter lover, I adore all of the variety as well as the uniqueness of the glitter assortment. There is no question, there are no other polishes in my vast collection that compare directly to KBShimmer shades! I am tellin' ya'll, they are so special and different!

I am super excited about the KBShimmer Summer Collection! Sure, Summer Vacation is over. However, I am still going to be rocking these shades for as long as it is hot outside (which in GA...is for awhile!).
I got to try out an assortment of shades from the Summer Collection Part 1 and Part 2 and The Flakes Collection. Just check out these gorgeous and unique polishes: The KBShimmer Summer Collection 2015: (listed from left to right: see photos):
  • Pink-a Colada: A violet leaning pink crelly polish with holographic glitters in lime green, light blue and pink with full coverage in 3 coats. This is one of our more sheer polishes, but it can be layered in 3 coats for full coverage, depending on application style.
  • Lei it Again: Sunshine, days at the beach, and tropical drinks.  Lei It Again is the first cream in KBShimmer's tropics inspired faded neon cream collection.  This is no baby pink, and is a much brighter electric pink then my camera can show. As with most pastel and/or neon formulas, thin coats work best to ensure even application as they dry quicker and don’t always perfect self level.
  • Rum Me the Right Way: Sunshine, days at the beach, and tropical drinks.  Rum Me The Right Way is the forth cream in SBShimmer's tropics inspired faded neon cream collection.  This shocking yellow cream is the perfect swap for plain nude colors. Go bold and highlight your nails with this faded neon cream. As with most pastel and/or neon formulas, thin coats work best to ensure even application as they dry quicker and don’t always perfect self level.
  • Vitamin Sea: An aqua jelly polish with pink, silver, and micro holographic glitters.
  • Foiled: The smallest of our silver flakes, Foiled offers the smoothest metallic look of the 4 shades and is best layered for full coverage.
  • Precious Petals: Precious Petals is a glitter top coat with neon pink, purple, white, and aqua glitters swimming in a clear base.  A fine holographic dust adds sparkle that just shines in the sun.

If you are looking for some gorgeous and unique polishes (especially glitters!) to add to your collection, be sure to check out KBShimmer! These polishes apply so easily and I get 4+ days without chipping (which is good for me with how hard I am on my nails). I can't wait to see their Fall Collection as I will be transitioning to Fall shades very soon.

Thanks so much for reading! Love ya'll!!!

Get Beach-Ready with Beauty 360 and pop-arazzi: Mani/Pedi #giveaway

Affiliate Link Press Sample

It is finally Summer Vacation time!!! School is out and the weather is hot. While we are not taking a beach vacation this year, I am still getting beach-inspired with some super fun mani/pedi supplies from Beauty 360 and pop-arazzi!

The hot weather has me wearing flip flops or sandals every day and fun summer colors and fashions. I always switch up my polish colors to Summer-friendly hues this time of year. Plus, with all this sandal and flip-flop wear, I need to do pedicures weekly or bi-weekly to keep my feet looking pretty and feeling soft.

Have you heard of Beauty 360 tools and pop-arazzi polishes? These brands are exclusively sold at CVS/pharmacy. From the super cute polish bottles to the great selection of mani/pedi tools and accessories, you are going to have everything you need for a great Summer mani/pedi!
I recently tried out an assortment of pop-arazzi polishes and some Beauty 360 tools.

From pop-arazzi, I tried Living Coral (a perfect Summer shade! A pretty pop of coral with a very subtle shimmer), The Hue is Blue (a soft creamy baby blue with the slightest hint of shimmer), and Toes in the Sand (a warm beige). I love how Living Coral and The Hue is Blue look like a matte creme at first, but then when you look closely, you see a lovely and very very subtle shimmer. The pop-arazzi polishes are in such pretty shades and OMG...the bottles, so cute! The formula did apply a bit streaky and thick for these. However, I did find the formula to be fairly workable and had a pretty good finish after 2 coats. Wear time was a bit diminished with some peeling before 2 days with the The Hue is Blue shade. However, the Living Coral shade wore for 3+ days with no peeling, which is very good! Despite the minor peeling issues with some of the shades, I still loved the color and look of the polish. Plus, these polishes are a great deal at CVS!

Beauty 360:
What a great assortment of everyday tools for your nails, feet, and hands! I tried the following:
  • Beauty 360 Padded Salon Boards: This is your basic padded board for filing your nails. I use this to smooth out the surface and to file my toe nails. I like using a crystal file for my fingernails. Retails for $2.99.
  • Beauty 360 Jeweled Nail Clipper: What a cute little nail clipper. It works great! I like having extra nail clippers around the house and this one is super duper cute! Retails for $1.99.
  • Beauty 360 Natural Pumice Stone: Daily use of a pumice stone is one of the key things that I do to keep my feet smooth and soft. The trick is that you have to use it daily. So, I make it part of my usual shower routine. I love that this little pumice has a rope so I can hang it to dry in my shower. Retails for $5.99.
  • Beauty 360 Gel Toe Separators: Toe Separators are a pedicure staple item for me! Using toe separators is the only way that I manage to not to smudge my polish! I love that these are gel. the gel makes them super comfy and washable! Love that! Retails for $3.99.

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

images sourced from KBShimmer.com
I have been all-about painting my nails lately! I am sure that the change of season has prompted it. What better time than Spring to perk up your tips and toes with some pretty polish?

KB Shimmer is one of my go-to brands for unique on-trend polish. The colors, finishes, and glitter assortment is totally unique! So, if you are ready to say goodbye to your dark winter shades and hello to something Spring-y and unique, you are going to want to check out these beautiful polishes!!!

This new line of 12 new and seasonal polishes launched for Spring of 2015. These retail for $8.75 each. What a beautiful assortment of creamy pastels, metallic glitters, and plenty of sparkle and shine!
I tried out 6 shades from this new and seasonal collection:
  • Blush Money: Based on the 2015 Pantone Color, Strawberry Ice, this peachy-rose colored polish shows off gold shimmer indoors and a linear holographic rainbow shines while outside. This color is truly special! As a lover of all-things pink, I reach for this shade often and love how the color shifts every time the light hits it! It is gorgeous to wear!!!
  • Funky Cold Patina: lol, love the name and love that I get it! ;) Like a long forgotten ancient copper statue turned blue green in color, this polish features a cool turquoise green base, with pops of metallic copper, blue, and purple. This is one of those KB Shimmer shades that is sure to get noticed! It is just *that different*! This shade is so supremely Summery. Love it on my toes!
  • Meow or Never: Based on the Pantone spring color Glacier Gray, this polish is a very pale gray, almost white in color with pops of purple, gray, periwinkle, and sky blue. I love going with super light nails for Spring and Summer. This is a nice alternative to a classic white nail. It is grey-white with gorgeous blue/purple glitter! Again, another truly unique shade!
  • To Peach His Own: This pale peach polish shines with holographic glitters in lime green, gold, violet, and magenta. The peach is so light, it is almost a cream color. Very Summery shade!
  • Eyes White Open: A white cream with two coat coverage, a staple for any girl's nail polish collection. White polish is so versatile. It certainly is a must-have. This one gives really nice coverage and great wear! Nail art, french tips, or an all-over white.
  • Thistle Be The Day: A pale pinkish purple that shines in the sun with a linear holographic glitter. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous holographic soft lilac polish! Such a wearable color! The holographic sparkle is so eye-catching!!!

I am absolutely obcessed with this KBShimmer Spring Collection! The polishes are gorgeously unique and I love that! KB Shimmer is available at KBShimmer.com, Amazon.com and at select salons & retailers. For sales outside the U.S., visit www.harlowandco.org.

From this Spring Fever Collection, I tried out the following shades (from left to right in the swatch photo):
  • Cream Pink (Bubble Gum Pink): This exact shade of pink tends to be my polish shade go-to. What can I say, I am a "pink" girl at heart and nothing does it better for me than a bright Barbie pink! I think that this will be my perfect pedicure shade for the Spring and Summer! I literally just feel happy even looking at this color! While it has a shine to it, it dries to almost a matte finish (demi matte?). Really pretty!
  • Sail la Vie: (Cerulean Sea Blue Creme with glossy finish): This gorgeous cerulean shade is another favorite color of mine. Can I even tell you how many shirts I have in this exact same color? lol, maybe it is because it matches my eyes. Anyways...it is a shade that I just LOVE wearing on my tips! It is a fun way to wear blue without your nails screaming "I am blue" (ha ha, if that makes sense). I really like it topped with the "Petal be the Day" Specialty Glitter. What a fun combo. My nails make me smile when I wear this combo. :) Seriously, it is on my tips now and I am diggin it!
  • Petal Be the Day: (Royal Blue and Purple Confetti in a sheer lilac base): This is a super fun glitter. I do wish that the sheer lilac base showed up just a tad more and that the glitter was more full coverage. But still, even with that critique, I love wearing this as a topper. It is really too sheer to wear on its own with its sparse glitter. 2 coats give you a decent amount of glitter.
  • Flower Power: (Baby Pink Speckled with White & Fuchsia): This is honestly the item in this collection that I anticipated the most! It really is a unique polish/topper! I love the round and chunky shape of the white and fuchsia glitter. The baby pink polish base is dense enough for good coverage and the glitter seems to go on a bit fuller (yet not full coverage by any means) than the Petal be the Day. This is so pretty on its own for a mani! So fun!!!
Do you know what is the most amazing part about this collection and all SinfulColors polishes in general? They retail for only $1.99 and are available at your local Walgreens! At that price, you can afford to get all of them that catch your eye! :) Plus, the quality, coverage, and wear (4+ days with only very slight tip wear for me...and I am hard on my nails with constant hand washing and diaper changes) are amazing!
