Travel Light with Tweezerman and Conair:

Thinking about traveling soon for Spring or Summer vacations? One great way to cut down on bulk with packing is to take travel-sized beauty products and tools. The trick is to find travel-sized beauty tools that work just as well as their full-sized versions. This can be hard! 

Recently, I have discovered (and re-discovered) some of my favorite travel-sized beauty tools and accesories. So, I am excited to share these with you today!

Tweezerman:

I pretty much exclusively use Tweezerman tweezers. They are just the best, in my opinion. They have a tight grip and are sharp enough to really get the job done quickly and easily when it comes to tweezing. I practially tweeze something daily, be it my brows or random stray hairs. 

For travel, I am absolutely loving Tweezerman's Tweezermate 10x Lighted Mirror (retails for $36)

This travel-sized makeup mirror is equipped with three different light settings. It is a nice size, yet it is still small enough to fit in your purse or suitcase for traveling. It would also work great for those of you who do or finish your makeup at work! It stands up and adjusts easily. You can just place it on a desk or table and get ready easily! I know that I have struggled with my travel makeup mirrors in the past as I could never get the right lighting in a place that I could set the mirror. Since this one has a light, you always have great lighting with evening, daylight & indoor settings. Not only is this one great for travel, but the size really is big enough for you to use for everyday, too!

I am also loving Tweezerman's Micro Mini Tweezer Set (retails for $24). The smallest tweezers the brand has ever made, this pocked size kit includes a Slant, Point & Flat Tweezer (2” each) packed in a metallic case. They seriously are not kidding when they call these "micro" mini! These are literally the smallest tweezers that I have ever seen. I mean, Tinkerbell could use these, lol. The cool part? They perform just as good as full sized tweezers! This little set literally takes up no space and has 3 awesome tweezers to take care of all of your tweezing needs on-the-go. This cute set is now living in my purse. If traveling on a plane, be sure to stash this in your checked luggage though as it probably would not be allowed on a plane as they are super sharp. 

In terms of travel packing, my hair tools take up the bulk of my beauty items. Try as I do, I haven't been able to find a travel hair dryer that I really like. So, I usually just suffice with what is at my destination as far as hotel hair dryers (or if staying with family, I will borrow one). With that said, I really love the Conair MiniPro Smoothing Brush. This is essentially a heated brush that works to smooth down your hair. This is great for travel! I can let my hair pretty much air-dry and then either finish it up with a hair dryer or let it air-dry all the way. Then I just quickly brush/smooth this MiniPro Smoothing Brush throughout the top layers of my hair and I am good-to-go. Quick and easy and it takes up very little space: and takes WAY less space than packing my round brushes and my flat iron. I can just take this! Retails for about $19.99.

These rollers create long lasting waves and curls in my long (and naturally straight-slighly wavy) hair. I am thrilled with the results! Styling is easy! I wash my hair and let it air dry for a bit as I do busy-work around the house (This is typical for me. I always let my hair air dry a bit before drying with a hair dyer.) Then I take a paddle brush and dry my hair with the Infiniti Pro 3Q. This process only takes a few minutes! Then I let my Infinit Pro Secret Curl heat up. When the ready dot indicates that the rollers are ready, I simply grab small sections of my hair and twirl it around a roller (no need to be precise, just twist your hair onto the roller) and pop it closed. I leave the rollers in until they are completely cooled off. I usually do other things around the house with the rollers in. When the rollers are ready to come out. I just pop them open and unwind my hair. Then, I take my fingers and rake them through my hair to loosen the curls. The result? Effortless and beautiful waves! Love, love, love the result!!!

It is time for another Makeup War!!! This week's Makeup Wars post is pure fun and fantasy: it is my Makeup Holiday Wishlist! I have not tried any of these items. These are simply the makeup items that I am lusting after. The items that I am wishing Santa will put in my stocking. Some of these have been around while, some are new, and some are LE Holiday items. Reguardless, I want 'em! ;)

My Holiday 2013 Beauty Wishlist:

• Conair Infiniti Pro Curl Secret: I am so intrigued by this unique hair tool! Somehow it magically sucks in your hair and spits out a perfect curl. It both frightens me and excites me at the same time. It is pricey at $99.00. However, if it works as well as it promises, then the price would be well worth it! 

• LORAC Pro Palette: I honestly can't believe that I don't own this palette yet! I love that it features a full range of neutral shades from light to dark in both matte and shimmer finishes. A great deal for $42.00. 

• Urban Decay Naked Basics: I can't believe that I don't own this yet either! A neutral lovers dream palette! I need this! :) Seriously, at $27.00, I should just head out and buy this one now. 

• Too Faced Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush: This blush is soooo cute! I mean, it is a heart! :) I am a sucker for a pretty blush in great packaging. Retails for $29.00. 

• Hayworth Lingerie Chest by Pier 1: First of all, I am obsessed with Pier 1 furniture and home decor. We just moved into a new house 3 months ago and I am slowly filling it up with Pier 1 furniture and accessories! My husband just surprised me with the Hayworth Vanity a couple weeks ago! He knew it was on my wishlist for ages. What a guy!!! ;) Well, now I want the Hayworth Lingerie Chest for my makeup storage. I am actually planning on splurging on this for my "Christmas Gift for Myself" this year!!! I can't wait! I am going to sit this right next to my vanity to store all my makeup. My makeup is currently in my closet and I hate walking back and forth to my vanity table (and I don't want to sit my IKEA Alex next to a mirrored vanity...it just wouldn't look right). I am hoping to downsize my makeup collection, too. If it doesn't fit into this chest, then I am not keeping it. 

• Glam Glow Gift Set or Glam Glow Mask: I hear that this Glam Glow mask is totally amazeballs. At typically $69 for a tub, I think that the gift set that Sephora is offering is a great price (and you get to try more from the line). I am seriously dying to try this!

• BeneFit Rockateur Blush: I adore BeneFit's blushes. I have a bit of a collection and I am dying to add this! I hear that it looks beautiful on. Plus, BeneFit blushes always smell amazing.

So, that is it! My Holiday 2013 Beauty Wishlist!!! I know that I am forgetting a million things. I mean, seriously, as soon as I publish this I will smack my head because I will think of more things. :) However, the list must end somewhere, right?

I love trying out new hair tools! Sometimes the "gadgets" and tools are exactly what inspires me to try new hair styles!!! I fully admit that I get into hair "ruts". As much as I love curls in my long hair, I often just opt for a pony tail or drying my hair straight. So, it really excites me to have an opportunity to test out some of Conair's new products.
