Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and Foundation & Long Wear Eyeliner!

Affiliate Link Press Sample/I bought it

It is not everyday that I get to talk about one of my holy grail products! So, I am super excited to talk to you guys today about my holy grail everyday under-eye concealer (drumroll please)....Hard Candy's Glamoflauge. Not only do I get amazing coverage from this product, but also it is extremely affordable and available at your local Walmart!!!

Besides talking about my HG Glamoflauge Concealer, we are also going to chat about Glamoflauge Foundation and Hard Candy's Soft Glide Long Wear Eyeliners. While I have been using Glamoflauge Concealer for ages, the other products are totally new-to-me! :)

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Concealer:
This product is sooooo good! Holy Grail status for sure. Just a bit of background here before we dive into my review...I struggle with uber dark under eye circles. I mean, they are bad. I have allergies, hereditary dark circles, and generally never get enough sleep. Plus, my eyes are prone to irritation because of my sensitive skin. Add this all up and I get the purple/dark circles and the redness. Not cute. So, I need a lot of coverage. Most concealers are simply just not pigmented enough. I need high pigmentation. However, I still want the product be be blendable and not look cakey. Glamoflauge is full coverage and totally fits my needs! It gives great coverage, blends like a dream, and looks natural.

Generally, I am between the shade #487 Ultra Light and #977 Fair. However, my Walmart does not always stock all of the shades. So, I have been able to get the other lighter shades to work for me as well like #312 Light and #1220 Light Beige.

Glamoflauge comes in 15 shades and retails for $6.00 at Walmart. One tube will last you forever as you only need a small amount for great coverage. What a deal! Seriously, one of my favorite concealers, ever, and one of the least expensive ones I have ever tried!

Also, Glamoflauge also comes with a mini concealer pencil. I will admit that I honestly never use it, but it could be handy for spot covering blemishes.

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Foundation:
With how much I love Glamoflauge Concealer, you know that I was excited to try out the foundation of the same name. #930 Porcelain is a pretty close match for my ultra fair skin. It is a liquid-powder formulation that works to absorb extra oil, camoflauge and cover your imperfections. I would say that this foundation wears pretty well, but not all-day (so I would not describe it as long-wearing foundation). I do feel that it is a little more coverage than I need. However, I must note that I don't always wear foundations and when I do lately, I am preferring very light coverage and a natural sheer finish. However, if you are looking for medium-full coverage, you should check out this foundation! It is a deal at $7.00 a bottle and it comes in 9 shades!

Hard Candy | Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils:
Creamy Eye Pencils are my go-to lately when I want to line my eyes. Nothing beats the ease of a pencil for quick application and nice wear. These Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils from Hard Candy are fantastic! They blend well and dry to a very longwearing and non-transferring product. I have the shades Glitter Treasure Chest and Creamy Matte Dark Chocolate and love them both. I would love to try more shades! Especially the shimmer shades! These retail for $5.00 each at Walmart. What a steal!

What are your faves from Hard Candy? I am always looking to try more from this high-quality affordable line. :)
XOXO!!!

Sweet Scent of Spring - NEW Hard Candy Fragrances

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Sweet Scent of Spring - NEW Hard Candy Fragrances:

Are you tired of cold weather and ready to jump into Spring? Well, I have some gorgeous and affordable fragrances to inspire you for your Spring scent!

Celebrate Spring in style with two NEW signatures scents by Hard Candy!  Serenade your senses with these fun and flirty as well as romantic and sophisticated fragrances. The Pink and Black fragrance duo offers subtle sugared notes of vanilla and iris and hints of floral and fruit aromas.

These scents are super sweet and young. Reguardless of your age, you can unleash your inner youtful side as a flirtatious and edgy Hard Candy girl by wearing these fragrances on their own or layered together.

While these are fantastic scents for spring, I can also see how these scents could appeal year round with the warm notes of vanilla and musk. I can't place my finger on it...but, these scents remind me of other scents I have and/or have worn previously. I believe I am thinking of Ariana Grande as well as Pink Sugar by Aqualina. However, I am not 100% as I don't have those fragrances currently to directly compare...it might be a Victoria's Secret scent I am thinking of. Either way, these scents remind me of something that I have worn previously that I loved.

I love the sleek black and pink matte metal bottles. These look modern as well as young and trendy.

This is a fashionable fragrance that evokes freshness and warmth. Exhilarate your senses with this romantic, floral musk that leaves an endless trail of beautiful scent.

THE NOTES:
Top Notes – California Tangerine and Pink Passion Fruit
Mid Notes – Fluffy Pink Peony and Sheer Jasmine

Makeup Wars: My Top Five Concealers for Very Dark Under Eye Circles

I Bought It Affiliate Link Press Sample

It is time for another Makeup Wars! I know, it has been awhile since I have done a Makeup Wars post. Well, the exciting news is that the Makeup Wars team has brainstormed an awesome list of topics. So, you readers can look forward to a great variety of Makeup Wars posts in the very near future!!! :)

Are you new to Makeup Wars? Let me tell you a bit about it. Makeup Wars is a collaborative blog series with other top beauty blogger friends. We mutually pick topics to blog about and then link up to each others blog. For example, in this post, we are all going to talk about our very favorite concealers. We represent a wide variety of ages, skin tones, and geographic locations. So, it will be very interesting to see our collective list of awesome concealers!

Makeup Wars: My Top Five Concealers for Very Dark Undereye Circles:
As many of my regular readers know, the topic of concealers is near and dear to my heart. Actually, my hunt for the very best concealers (along with finding effective skincare for my sensitive skin) was my gateway into the beauty and makeup world! I always heavily research my concealer purchases by reading online reviews and blogs. The average concealer just doesn't work for my dark circles. I need heavy duty coverage!

My Concealer Needs:
I struggle with dark circles. Seriously. My dark circles are so dark that they practically count as black eyes. Why do I have dark circles? Primarily, I blame heredity. I have very fair/thin skin. Also, I have allergies and generally never get enough sleep. So, I have both the blue/purple dark circles as well as redness in the area from allergies. If I walked around without concealer (which I have from time-to-time, but not often), people ask me if I am sick or tired. The dark circles are just that bad.

So, I need very heavy duty coverage. Plus, I need that coverage to last all day. Also, I don't want the coverage to look cakey. Not to mention, I need a good match to my skintone. My skin tone is almost porcelain. In many makeup brands, the lightest concealer is still too dark for my skintone. Seriously ya'll, the struggle is real for me when it comes to finding good concelaers!

I have found some great concealers over the years. Some I have stuck with for years and some that I have loved have been discontinued (which is always heartbreaking, for real ya'll!). So, needless to say, I am always searching and always wanting to add awesome under eye concelaers to my makeup arsenal.

Hard Candy Look Pro Natural Eyes Palette: Gorgeous Set, Great Deal!

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

I love that you honestly do not have to pay a lot to get good quality eye shadow palettes these days. Sure, not all drugstore-price palettes are created equally. So, I really enjoy the hunt for fabulous products at a great price. Luckily, I discovered a true gem with the Hard Candy Look Pro Tins. The Hard Candy Look Pro Tins are available at Walmart and Walmart.com for only $8.00! What a steal!

The Hard Candy Look Pro Tin eye shadow palettes each include 9 coordinated shades, a primer, a mini eye liner, and an applicator. Each palette includes an instructional card with 3 start to finish natural looks. The tin also has a small mirror inside. Look Pro is offered in three different palettes including Natural Eyes, Sassy Eyes, and Smokey Eyes.

I got to try out the Natural Eyes palette and have completely fallen in love with it! As a neutrals-girl at heart, these are the types of shades that I gravitate towards for everyday wear. The shadows are very soft and have an almost creamy-feeling powder texture. The shades range from a light vanilla (great for brow highlight) to a dark brown (great for powder lining or smokey eyes!) with many shades in-between. There is a variety of matte, shimmer, and even some sparkle (but not glittery) finishes. This palette has everything that I need to create a complete eye look from start to finish!

In addition to loving the shadow selections, I also enjoy using the eye primer and the mini eye liner. The primer seems to increase the wear of the shadows and gives my lids a smooth finish. The liner is your basic eye pencil in black. It has nice dark pigment and long wear on me.

Overall, this Hard Candy Look Pro Natural Eyes Palette is a fabulous palette at an incredible price! Be sure to check these out next time you are in Walmart. I know that I am eager to scope out the rest of the shades. :)

Take It Off! Hard Candy's Super Gentle Makeup Remover

Just like the name states, this product allows you to Take It (all) Off!

Hard Candy's "Take It Off" cream makeup remover works incredibly well. There is not one single makeup item that it does not remove! Waterproof mascara, liquid liner, you name it and this product removes it!

This is honestly the first time that I have ever tried a cream makeup remover! Usually I use a bi-phase remover like Neutrogena's Oil Free Makeup Remover.  It was strange for me to use a cream based product at first. However, I was blown away with how effective it is!

How I use:
I just apply a dab of this cream makeup remover to a cotton round and gently swipe over my eye makeup. It easily removes everything! I use one cotton pad per eye. After removal, I proceed with washing my face and my evening skincare routine.

I love that Take It Off is no-greasy! You get absolutely no greasy residue with this product. Plus, I find Take It Off to be incredibly gentle. It removes everything without you feeling like you have to "rub" your eye area.

This makeup remover is effective and inexpensive. You gotta love that!

Hard Candy's "Take it Off" is available at Walmart for $5.00 for a 2.7 oz tube.

Thanks so much for reading!
XOXO!!!

What I'm Loving: Hard Candy's Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duos!

Have you seen these gorgeous baked eye shadows from Hard Candy? Ever since hearing Emily from Beauty Broadcast rave about these, I knew that I had to check them out!

I am so into "baked" makeup lately! These pretty shadow duos are no exception. I find that these baked shadows are fantastically pigmented and they have a beautiful metallic finish. Worn wet or dry, these shadows are just lovely! Is it just me, or does it seem that almost all "baked" makeup products have a metallic finish? Is that just coincidence or is it secondary to the baking process? At any rate, I seem to have a hard time resisting trying out baked products!

For this review, I tested out the Hard Candy Kal-Eye-Descope Baked Eyeshadow Duos in "sSecret Rendezvous" and "Blind Date". To hear more, please keep reading (swatches and full review after the jump!).

Hard Candy wants you to: Take it Off!

When it comes to makeup removal, I don't stray too often from my Holy Grail makeup remover (Neutrogena's Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover). So, it is funny that I have stumbled upon some other good alternatives to my beloved Neutrogena lately! Last month I mentioned Klorane's Soothing Eye Makeup Remover that I had discovered through Birchbox. That one is still great; but, I have found another option lately with Hard Candy's new Take it Off wipes!

I know I am late to the party on makeup removal wipes! These are honestly the first ones that I have ever tried (like I mentioned, I rarely stray from my HG Neutrogena!). Now I know why makeup remover wipes are so wildly popular. It is just so darn easy to remove your makeup with a wipe!

How I use:
Using these wipes to remove my makeup is the first step in my nighttime beauty routine (and on days when I am so tired that I am stumbling to bed: my only step!). I just take out one wipe and gently wipe it over my eye area to remove my eye makeup first. It takes about 3 sweeps to remove the makeup on each eye. Then I find a "clean spot" on the wipe and quickly do a wipe down of the rest of my face. I really love the feel of using a wipe on my face! I feel like it gets my skin extra clean and very lightly exfoliates (no these are not an exfoliating cloth per se, but it does "feel" like I am doing a bit of manual exfoliation just by wiping). I follow up my makeup removal with washing my face and applying my moisturizer and/or treatment products.

Sally's (Face Secret) and Walmart (Hard Candy) mini collective haul!

Hello readers! Just thought I would snap a few photos of haul items that I will be testing in the coming weeks! Couldn't resist one more post tonight as I just felt like writing!!! :)

As I venture into the world of liquid foundations...I figured I needed a stippling brush! I picked this Face Secrets one up from Sally's and will be testing it out with some various foundations. Now this is actually labeled as a bronzer brush. I have a blending brush from Face Secrets that I love, so I figured I would give this a try. And, with coupon plus Sally discount, only $8.

If any of you readers have a great stippling brush, I would love to hear it (high end or drugstore!). I am still testing NARS sheer glow and plan on picking up Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation. Would love any other foundation recommendations for my dry skin (normal to dry in summer, dry in winter). I am uber-pale MAC NC15 in Studio Fix. Have been wearing powder foundation for years and am really excited to try some liquid options!

Since Sally's is across from Walmart where I live...I braved a venture into Walmart. Since I live in an Urban Area...my Walmart can be kinda sketchy (underground dim parking garage, situated next to train station, etc). So, I don't venture there often! Don't get me wrong, love me some discount prices and I live in a nice area...its just kinda a scary Walmart (I have been harassed in the parking lot by panhandlers way too many times, one even followed me into the Sallys once asking for money and calling me names)! Okay, I digress...such is Urban Living. Anyways, I braved it in search of good Sally Beauty products and Walmart goodies.

So, in the same vein of wanting to try liquid foundations. I am also venturing into the world of primers. Some wonderful ladies on twitter, makeupalley, and my facebook page recommended the Hard Candy Primer. Now, I actually remember when *Sephora* used to sell Hard Candy (I am sure I am aging myself here). So, I am familiar with the brand and was vaguely aware that it was now sold at Wally World (okay, Walmart, why do I always slip and call it that, tee-hee!). I am not sure if it is a new company sellling it or if it is the same product just repackaged? Either way, I have an old Sephora-sold Hard Candy bronzer that I totally adore.

So, I went in search of the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer and the Blush Crush in Living Doll (which looks so pretty in some blog photos that I have seen). Well, I was *thrilled* to find a specially packaged Holiday Set (?) with trial sized versions of the Sheer Envy Primer, the Blush Crush in Living Doll, *and* a Plumping Serum Lipgloss, and a Glow all the Way face and body illuminizer. PERFECT!!! ALl of this for only $8. What a great way to test out the primer...and have some travel sized products on hand (ya'll know how I dig a good travel friendly item!).

So, enjoy the photos!!! I am eager to compare this Hard Candy primer with the Smashbox sample that I have been testing (and so far...totally love). Also, looking forward to testing out this newly vamped Hard Candy line at Walmart. There was sooooo much that I wanted to try! Looks like I will be braving the Walmart adventure more often!!!

Thanks for reading! And would love to hear more recs from ya'll on serums/primers/foundations/foundation application! :)

XOXO!
Pammy
