Jessica Beal looked absolutely flawless at this week's Golden Globe awards. She was literally glowing! So, I am super excited to be able to bring you the behind-the-scenes scoop on how she got her gorgeous glowing skin!

Winter-skin woes got you down? Feeling a bit too pasty to show off your shoulders or flash a little leg tonight? Follow the below steps by Celebrity Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimotobua featuring St. Tropez as seen on Jessica Biel at the Golden Globes for stunning winter skin guaranteed to make you look flawless!

MAKEUP AND SKIN BY: Celebrity Makeup Artist Kara Yoshimotobua:

To prep and exfoliate the skin, Kara used the St. Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Polish.  This polish is an exceptional body exfoliator formulated to help gently remove tired skin cells and enhance the tanning experience. Thorough exfoliation creates a smooth, soft surface that allows for moisture to enter the skin better than before.

Sweep a layer of the St. Tropez One Night Only Finishing Gloss onto the shoulders, arms and décolletage to give the body a subtle, bronzed sheen that reflects flawlessly in photos and looks radiant in person.  To further highlight your figure, sweep an extra layer of Finishing Gloss on the collarbone and blend down the arm.

Summer is the time for sundresses, bare arms and legs, and a gorgeous sunkissed glow. So, what is a fair girl to do? The sun's rays are harmful. Summer Beauty Hacks with L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sir John

Summer Beauty Hacks
with L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sir John

Nothing beats the Summer heat for fun times in the sun. However, Summer fun can sure wreak havoc on your makeup and skin! From melting makeup, to sunburns, to trying to find a glow...what is a girl to do?

Luckily, L’Oréal Paris Celebrity Makeup Artist, Sir John has some fantastic tips for Summer beauty and L’Oréal Paris has some great products to help you out along the way. I was able to try out these products and road-test these tips and I can tell ya'll. They do work!

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #1: COVERING A SUNBURN
SIR JOHN TIP: While everyone tries to avoid getting a sunburn, unfortunately sometimes it still happens. Luckily, there are some easy ways to cover it up. Sir John recommends using the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation ($12.99) along with a green color corrector as found in the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Color Correcting Kit. The green will neutralize the redness on skin. Using a makeup sponge like the L’Oréal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Concealer Blender ($7.99), dab it into places that are burned the most - areas like your nose and cheekbone.

No, I didn't actually end up with a sunburn on my face this summer (I am very diligent with SPF...especially on my face). However, sometimes I do still get too much sun on my nose and I don't want my nose to look darker than the rest of my face. So, I used these tips to neutralize the color on my nose and even out my skintone.

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #2: HOW TO USE MELT-PROOF MAKEUP
SIR JOHN TIP: Melting makeup doesn’t have to be synonymous with heat and humidity. Sir John has a trick to tame eyebrows and keep them in place to weather the elements  – spraying hairspray on a thin toothbrush and then gently rubbing it on the brows (in more extreme cases like when on tour with clients, he has used a glue stick in place of hairspray). He then suggests penciling them in with an eye brow pencil like the L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Definer ($8.99). He also suggests using a waterproof mascara like the L'Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara ($9.99).

Melting makeup is no joke in the super hot, sunny, and humid Georgia climate that I live in. Sometimes it feels like an impossible feat to just get your makeup to stay on in the Summer. Plus, my brows are super unruly. So, I always appreciate tips about how to keep them tamed. The L’Oréal Paris Brow Stylist Definer and the L'Oreal Paris Lash Paradise Waterproof Mascara are now new favorites of mine!

SUMMER BEAUTY HACK #3: HOW TO FAUX THE JLO SUMMER GLOW
SIR JOHN TIP: To get the perfect faux glow, Sir John recommends exfoliating with a product like the L’Oréal Pure-Clay Exfoliate and Refine Cleanser ($6.99) the night before you want to tan to prep skin. Then use a self-tanner and apply all over face and body for an even and natural-looking glow. Sir John loves the L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum ($10.99) as it’s easy to apply and lasts up to two weeks.

I am all about drugstore skincare and self tanners! I absolutely love the glow that I get from the L'Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Serum. It is so natural-looking and as a super fair skinned girl, it is my best way to get "tan". Plus, the L’Oréal Pure-Clay line of cleansers are fantastic. There are three different ones and I just love the cleanse that I get from these.

If you already have a gorgeous glow but want to add some highlight to your face, mix a liquid highlighter like the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator ($12.99) with a hydrating facial moisturizer from the L’Oréal Paris Hydra Genius ($17.99) line and apply it on your desired areas.

No Summer glow is complete without a touch of highlighter and some dewy moisturized skin! I am obcessed with the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminator! Just a touch of this highlighter to key areas of my face (top of cheekbows, brow, center of nose, and chin) gives gorgeous dimension! Plus, I love the texture of the L’Oréal Paris Hydra Genius moisturizer. It plumps up the skin nicely and leaves me so hydrated.

I hope these tips are helpful to you! I sure found them to be great ways to beat the heat this Summer with my beauty products from L'Oreal Paris!

As always, thanks so much for reading!
XOXO!!!

Getting my Bronze on with tarte: Better Bod Bronze & Contour and Brazilian Plus +

Affiliate Link  Press Sample

Summer is the time for baring outfits and bronzed skin. So, what is a fair girl to do? A "real" tan is hard to come by with my skin tone. Not only is it unsafe for me to try to tan, but also it really is almost impossible for me to achieve a bronzed look from the sun. That is right, I rarely tan, as I just end up burning and freckling and peeling. It is no fun and I gave up years and years ago in favor of shade at the pool and beach and high daily SPF use. However, I do still love that bronzed look.

Well, the good news is that there are so many wonderful ways to get a bronze glow now without having to try to tan the old-fashioned way. Tarte has some fabulous new products for achieving a gorgeous bronze look with ease! Introducing: Better Bod Bronze & Contour and Brazilian Plus +.

Get Your Summer "Tan"...in 60 Minutes with Fake Bake!

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Now that warm weather is here, I am ready to get my Summer "tan" going. As ya'll know, I am super-duper fair. Like, almost porcelain-white fair. Tanning in the sun just doesn't really work for me. Not only is it unsafe with my family history of skin cancer, but also it just doesn't work. I would burn, then peel and be red, and then be left with no color.

Self-tanning, on the other hand, is the way to go! I can get gorgeous color in a totally safe way! I have actually *really missed* self-tanning as I was pregnant last Spring and Summer and was avoiding self tanners. Now that my beautiful baby is here (he arrived in January), I can get going with some self-tanning again! Whoo-hoo!

Fake Bake has some awesome self-tanners. This review is specifically for Fake Bake's Luxurious Golden Bronze 60 minutes Self-Tan Liquid & Professional Mitt. This product really excites me. I mean, self tanning is great and all...but, I do hate waiting for color to develop. With many self-tanning products, I have to apply the night before and let the color process overnight. With this product, I can get color within an hour! To find out more about this product and how it worked for me, please click "read more" below.

Top Ten Tuesdays: Get Your Glow On!

Top Ten Tuesdays: Get Your Glow On
It is time for another "Top Ten Tuesday" post! This week we are posting our top 10 Products to "Get Your Glow On (and keep your glow on!).

For those of you new to this series, here is the scoop:
Every/other Tuesday all of the bloggers in the Top Ten Tuesdays blogging group (a collection of top beauty bloggers) posts a Top Ten list. Then we link to each other's posts so that you readers can scroll through all our blogs reading our top 10 picks for the week's topic. As a list enthusiast, I love reading through all the Top Ten Tuesday Bloggers' posts making my own beauty wishlist! This is a great way to find out about products that really work. Plus, it is always interesting to see what products make multiple bloggers lists. Those are the true gems!

So, here it is ya'll: My Top 10 Products to "Get Your Glow On"! Note: this list is in no particular order

1.  Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder: Favorite High End Bronzer in 01 Bronze and Honorable Mention Highligher in Highlight 01. The shade 01 gives my super fair skin a warm, matte, bronze glow. The Highlighter gives a subtle golden sheen without being overly sparkly. I love the texture of these powders! The long-wearing formula last all day!
2. Dior Diorskin Ultra Shimmering AllOver Face Powder in Amber Diamond: This is, hands-down, my Holy Grail High End Highlighter. The shimmer is so finely milled! This product gives your skin the most amazing glow ever!!! Plus, you can use the shades separately as eye shadow. It is super expensive; but, it is worth every penny!

3. Beautisol Tea Tan Glow: I adore this mousse body bronzer. It gives you a lovely hint of a tan by tinting your skin with tea extracts. It smells lovely and the color does not rub off on your clothes. You can use this on its own or layer it over self-tanner for a deeper bronze glow.

4. Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer: This is my go-to gradual tanner. It is just so easy to use! Their new formulation diminishes self-tanning odor. I apply this most days to my legs after showering and shaving (and every few days on my whole body).

5. Neutrogena's Micro Mist Airbrush Sunless Tan: This tanner is incredibly easy to apply. After exfoliating, simply mist this spray over your body. Easy-peasy!!! The spray works from any angle.

6. Kate Somerville Somerville360 Tan Maximizer: This tan-enhancing moisturizer combats the dryness that goes hand-in-hand with tanning (sunless tan or sun exposure). It is formulated with powerhouse peptides, lipids, natural oils, and butters to hydrate and condition your skin. Use after tanning as well as a few days before expected self-tanning or sun exposure.

7. Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs: This is a lotion-based leg makeup! I am a long-time user of the spray version of this product (which I used to mix with lotion to aid in application). Well, now it comes in a lotion form that is much easier to apply. It gives your skin a hint of color and disguises imperfections. Mostly, it makes me feel more confident when baring my fair skin in short skirts! While not an everyday use product for me, I love using this before a night out.

8. Revlon Photoready Bronzer: This matte bronzer is my current favorite drugstore bronzer. I love that you can adjust the color depending on how you sweep your brush across the four shades. With my fair skin, I tend to stick to the lightest two colors.

9. Physician's Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder (in Translucent): This glow powder is my favorite drugstore "highlighter". It is a slightly-pearly complexion boosting powder. You can either dust a little bit all over, or do what I do: apply to top of cheekbones, brow, and chin. I love the subtle glow and the impact on your bone structure. While not quite as shimmery as Dior's Amber Diamond, it is a pretty decent drugstore dupe.

10. Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion: This lightly hydrating body lotion packs a beautiful shimmer! I adore using this on my legs, arms, and all exposed skin areas. The shimmer detracts from flaws and gives your skin an extra oomph of glow!
