Hard Candy's Glamoflauge Concealer and Foundation & Long Wear Eyeliner!

Affiliate Link Press Sample/I bought it

It is not everyday that I get to talk about one of my holy grail products! So, I am super excited to talk to you guys today about my holy grail everyday under-eye concealer (drumroll please)....Hard Candy's Glamoflauge. Not only do I get amazing coverage from this product, but also it is extremely affordable and available at your local Walmart!!!

Besides talking about my HG Glamoflauge Concealer, we are also going to chat about Glamoflauge Foundation and Hard Candy's Soft Glide Long Wear Eyeliners. While I have been using Glamoflauge Concealer for ages, the other products are totally new-to-me! :)

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Concealer:
This product is sooooo good! Holy Grail status for sure. Just a bit of background here before we dive into my review...I struggle with uber dark under eye circles. I mean, they are bad. I have allergies, hereditary dark circles, and generally never get enough sleep. Plus, my eyes are prone to irritation because of my sensitive skin. Add this all up and I get the purple/dark circles and the redness. Not cute. So, I need a lot of coverage. Most concealers are simply just not pigmented enough. I need high pigmentation. However, I still want the product be be blendable and not look cakey. Glamoflauge is full coverage and totally fits my needs! It gives great coverage, blends like a dream, and looks natural.

Generally, I am between the shade #487 Ultra Light and #977 Fair. However, my Walmart does not always stock all of the shades. So, I have been able to get the other lighter shades to work for me as well like #312 Light and #1220 Light Beige.

Glamoflauge comes in 15 shades and retails for $6.00 at Walmart. One tube will last you forever as you only need a small amount for great coverage. What a deal! Seriously, one of my favorite concealers, ever, and one of the least expensive ones I have ever tried!

Also, Glamoflauge also comes with a mini concealer pencil. I will admit that I honestly never use it, but it could be handy for spot covering blemishes.

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Foundation:
With how much I love Glamoflauge Concealer, you know that I was excited to try out the foundation of the same name. #930 Porcelain is a pretty close match for my ultra fair skin. It is a liquid-powder formulation that works to absorb extra oil, camoflauge and cover your imperfections. I would say that this foundation wears pretty well, but not all-day (so I would not describe it as long-wearing foundation). I do feel that it is a little more coverage than I need. However, I must note that I don't always wear foundations and when I do lately, I am preferring very light coverage and a natural sheer finish. However, if you are looking for medium-full coverage, you should check out this foundation! It is a deal at $7.00 a bottle and it comes in 9 shades!

Hard Candy | Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils:
Creamy Eye Pencils are my go-to lately when I want to line my eyes. Nothing beats the ease of a pencil for quick application and nice wear. These Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils from Hard Candy are fantastic! They blend well and dry to a very longwearing and non-transferring product. I have the shades Glitter Treasure Chest and Creamy Matte Dark Chocolate and love them both. I would love to try more shades! Especially the shimmer shades! These retail for $5.00 each at Walmart. What a steal!

What are your faves from Hard Candy? I am always looking to try more from this high-quality affordable line. :)
XOXO!!!

Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics' "Midnight Glitz" Makeup Tutorial

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics' "Midnight Glitz" Makeup Tutorial:

Looking for a gorgeous and glam look for New Years or any fun date-night out in the New Year? Look no further than this gorgeous makeup look featuring Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics.

Created by Global Corporate Educator, Ami Mallon, I am excited to share Osmosis Colour Mineral Cosmetics' "Midnight Glitz" makeup tutorial. Featuring a perfectly contoured complexion and a smokey sparkle, please find the step-by-step guide below.

Step 1:
Using the Angled Blush Brush and the contour shade from the Lustrous Contour Duo, create a thin line from the center of the ear under the cheekbone down to the middle of the brow. Use the same shade to trace under the jawline and blend down to your neck. Then, bring this same shade from the temple across the forehead and blend.

Step 2:
With the Medium Accent Brush and the highlighting shade from the Lustrous Contour Duo, lightly sweep the high points of your face such as the tops of your cheekbones, bridge of your nose, under the brow bone, and the cupid's bow to accent your best features.

Step 3:
Prep the eyes by blending a small amount of the Age Defying Treatment Concealer with the Concealer Brush. Using the Blender Brush, sweep the darker shade from the Lustrous Contour Duo into your crease to create definition.

Step 4:
Apply the Black Eye Pencil on your lid from lash line to crease. Don't worry about precision in this step, we'll be blending it in the next!

Step 5:
Blend the Black Eye Pencil using the Contour Shadow Brush. TIP: Our Eye Pencils are long-wear and will set quickly, so get to blending as soon as you can!

Step 6:
Then, apply Black Eye Pencil to your lower lash line and blend under your eye using the smudge brush at the end of the Eye Pencil for a natural smokey look.

Step 7:
Using your finger or our Smudge Brush, dab Azure Water Color onto the center of your lid and blend into your crease and outwards.

Step 8:
Take the same Smudge Brush and apply a small amount of Azure Water Color to the center of the lower lash line to make the eye look larger.

Step 9:
With your finger or a clean Smudge Brush, dab a small amount of Opal Water Color in your tear duct area as well as under your brow to brighten and highlight! Then, apply several coats of the Volumizing Mascara to complete the eye look.

Step 10:
Pair with your favotire lip and cheek! We went with a soft, pink lippie using our First Kiss Lipstick topped with Flirt Lip Glaze and added a pop of color to the cheeks with one of our favorite blushes, Pink Pearl.

That is it! A beautiful and sophisticated look. Have fun re-creating this look for New Years Eve or any fun night beyond.

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Happy 20th Anniversary Laura Mercier!
Wow, 20 years! That is certainly a milestone anniversary! In honor of the 20th Anniversary, Laura Mercier is offering a Limited Edition Collection of 12 of Laura's favorite products: The Iconics Box.

Laura Mercier is one of my very favorite go-to makeup brands. I have so many favorites from this line: from her classic Tinted Moisturizer to her gorgeous eye and face palettes, to her decadent body products, to my all-time favorite (and a product I use every day) the Secret Brightening Powder. This is certainly a line to be explored! So, where do you start? The Iconics Box! What a great way to explore the brand...try Laura's personal favorites!

When painter Laura Mercier turned her eye and brush from her canvas to a womans face, she transformed not just how makeup is applied, but the very way beauty is defined. She created her iconic products -- like Foundation Primer, Loose Setting Powder, Caviar Eye Stick and Bonne Mine - to help every woman feel confident in her individual beauty.

The Iconics Box:
The collection is a beautiful, limited-edition keepsake box with 12 iconic Laura Mercier. Now, I didn't get to try out the actual box. I must say, many of these items were already favorites of mine and the ones that are new to me are now favorites, too!

Great Idea! Pรผr Minerals – the Double Ego Dual Ended Eyeliner

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Now this is a great idea ya'll! A liner that is part pencil and part liquid: a dual-ended 2-in-1 liner. Introducing the Double Ego Dual Ended Eyeliner from Pรผr Minerals.

I know that I am frequently reaching for both a liquid and pencil style liner for lining both my upper and lower lash line. Typically, I like liquids and gels on my top lash line and pencils on the bottom. Now I can get both in one liner with coordinating/matching shades! You can get all this in one product, yay! I am such a fan of 2-in-1 products and think that this is such a great idea! :)

Give your eyes a bold, daring look this spring with the latest launch from Pรผr Minerals – the Double Ego Dual Ended Eyeliner. Two of Pรผr Minerals’ most popular formulas combined to this 2-in-1 dual-ended eyeliner. A dry mineral tip offers definition for everyday eyes or a smokey look, while the liquid liner glides on with ease for bold, intense color.
The Pรผr Minerals Double Ego Dual Ended Eyeliner is available in the following shades: Bali, Queensland, Bora Bora, Rio de Janeiro, Milan, Tasmania, Madagascar, Swiss Alps.

I tried out 3 shades: Bora Bora (a medium and slightly teal blue), Swiss Alps (a soft grey), and Tasmania (a chocolate brown). In addition to liking the 2-in-1 idea, I also like the color selection, staying power, and smooth application of the liners. The liquid side features a super fine point felt tip pen that can make such an effortless line. The pencil side features a twist-up/retractable pencil tip. It also glides on easily without tugging and smudges out beautifully.

Prestige Cosmetics: New Nail Lacquer Line Launch! Plus, a few other goodies! :)

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

Prestige Cosmetics: NEW WonderGloss Nail Lacquer:
Have you seen the new assortment of WonderGloss Nail Lacquers from Prestige??? These polishes are just gorgeous! The new WonderGloss Nail Lacquer line offers 27 new shades in a full spectrum of color. These polishes are super glossy and the formula is enriched with multi-vitamins for nail strength and durability. Plus, these polishes retail for only $3.95 each! What a deal!!!

WonderGloss Nail Lacquers:
Here are the shades that I tried: Romance (a vivid hot/barbie pink) and Surf (a medium teal blue creme). I really like the coverage and the wear of these polishes. I used 2 coats and get about average-above average wear (4+ days...which, for me, is good! I have a toddler at home and am constantly washing my hands).

Prestige Cosmetics offers not only this fabulous new WonderGloss line of Nail Lacquer, but also a wide array of makeup: from face and eye primers, to BB Creams and duo chrome shadows. Be sure to scope out the selection of Prestige Cosmetics next time you are beauty shopping!

Here are some other items that I recently tried from Prestige:
  • Classic Eyeliner in E78 Marble (a beautiful deep green): It applies smoothly and blends easily. It lays down nice pigment without pulling nor dragging the eyelid. These eyeliners retail for about $3.95.
  • Color Persist Lipstick in LCP-O6 Enduring Blush (a deep pinkish red): The Color Persist lipsticks are longwearing lipsticks with a moisturizing inner core lipbalm. Formulated with vitamins and hyaluronic acid to keep your lips smooth and hydrated! Retails for $7.50.
  • My Waterproof Lashes Mascara: Now, I must admit, I am not really a fan of this mascara. Generally, I am not a huge fan of waterproof mascaras in general. Personally, I found it to be a little bit clumpy and it did not resist the water when I went swimming. Retails for $6.95.
I generally loved this assortment of Prestige Cosmetics! I am excited to explore this affordable brand more in the future!!! Are you a Prestige fan? What do you like from this line? The prices are amazing!!!

Where to buy:
You can find Prestige Cosmetics at places like Ulta and at PrestigeCosmetics.com

Top 10 Tuesdays: Top 10 Eyeliners

I Bought It  Press Sample Affiliate Link

Top 10 Tuesdays is the blog series for Top 10 List lovers! Top Ten Tuesdays are a bi-weekly collaborative link-up series where top Beauty Bloggers share their Top 10 Lists for a given topic. This week: Top 10 Eyeliners!!!

These eyeliners are my current Top 10 Favorites! Believe me, I have a drawer full of eyeliners...and these are the ones that I reach for time-and-time again! I have sensitive eyes and allergies. So, my eyes are very prone to tearing/watering. So, I need eyeliners that hold up extremely well! These all prove to be run and smudge-proof for me! Love them all and totally recommend each one. This list represents the full range of price points, too!

  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils: These liners are soooo pigmented! Plus, the waterproof staying power is just amazing!!! These truly do glide-on! Plus, they come in a whole range of colors: from vibrant and wild to amazing neutrals...Urban Decay has you covered.
  • Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen: I just adore these fabulous liners from Pixi! The waterproof gel formula glides on your eyes effortlessly, doesn't smudge, and blends beautifully. I find these liners to be quite similar to Urban Decay's 24/7 liners.
  • Bobbi Brown Long-Wearing Gel Liner: These gel liners from Bobbi Brown were the very first potted gel liners that I ever tried. So, I am very loyal to them. I tend to compare all other potted liners to these as Bobbi Brown is my gold-standard in gel liners! These are long-wearing and waterproof. I heart these liners! Chocolate Shimmer Ink is my favorite shade.
  • essence kajal eye pencil: Love a good cheap-thrill product? Check out these amazing kajal liners from essence! They are only $1.00 and they work great! The shade Teddy has been my standard brown kajal pencil for years!!! While it is not waterproof nor as long wearing as some of the others on this list, it still works great for a softer look and it never smudges on me.
  • Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner: Are you sensing a trend here? I really love long-wearing liners! :) Revlon ColorStay liners are the drugstore standard in a long-wearing liner. I almost always have a black one of these around!
  • Trish McEvoy Intense Gel Eyeliner: This is my newest favorite addition to my eyeliner collection. It was love at first sight!!! This liner is possibly the most intensely pigmented out of all of the liners that I own. It glides on absolutely effortlessly while laying down a deep layer of pigment. I am so impressed!!!
  • Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner: Love potted gel liners but hate department store prices? The good news is that the drugstore carries some great options for potted gel liners! This one is by-far my fav drugstore option for this category of liners! These are long-wearing, waterproof, and smudge-proof...just like the high-end versions! I even like the brush that comes with it.
  • Physician's Formula Eye Booster 2-in-1 Lash Boosting Eyeliner + Serum: This felt-tip liquid style liner is absolutely the easiest liquid liner to apply! The super fine point and flow of the tip allow for a goof-proof wing. So easy to use! I reach for this Physician's Formula liner over all the other liquid liners in my collection. A must have!
  • MAC Fluidline: MAC Fluidlines are another great gel liner option. The gel formula is long-wearing and smudge-proof. The shade blacktrack is one of my go-to blacks!
