With the release of the new Great Gatsby film, Jazz or Flapper-inspired looks are totally on-trend! So, of course, Julep had perfect timing with their "Jazz Up Your Look: Set the Stage" Julep Maven Box! 

I am so excited that I opted to get a box this month!!! Things have been so crazy with us putting our house on the market and getting ready for a move (hopefully soon! fingers crossed!!!). I honestly had intentions to skip the month to focus on cleaning the house and de-cluttering in prep for a move. However, when I saw how amazing this month's boxes looked, I just absolutely could not resist!!! 

Let me tell you, seeing this box in person did not disappoint! Actually, this might be my favorite Julep box...ever! :) The polishes are beautiful, the hair accessories are adorable, and the trio of mini lippies....swoon!!!

It is that time again! Time for my monthly Julep Maven Nail Subscription Box Opening!!!

As ya'll know, I just love my Julep Maven subscription! I am a bit of a nail polish lover (read: fanatic, lol!). To me, there is simply no better way to bring color into your look than a great polish! I almost view nail color as an accessory. You can vary your look or just display your own individuality with your nail color selection.

Julep really knocked it out of the park with the Maven box this month! I might have even squealed in delight when I first opened the box, lol! There is no question that the Julep Maven boxes have been consistently good. This box is no exception! Adorable presentation, excellent product selection, and great quality. I am absolutely thrilled with this box!

Julep Maven: August 2012 Box Opening!

It is time for my Monthly Julep Maven box opening!!! As ya'll know, I totally <3 my Julep Maven monthly nail polish beauty box subscription! Who doesn't love an adorable box of pretty nail polish and nail pampering treats every month? :) Plus, the products are all *full sized*!!!

As I have mentioned before about Julep, the great thing about this subscription is that you get to pick your box!!! Julep pre-selects a box for you based on your beauty style profile. You get an email with a graphic (see the picture below) representing your box. My style on Julep is "Boho Glam". If I am not that "into" the Boho Glam box for a particular month, I can easily switch to one of their other boxes! Honestly, it is always hard to choose because I want em all!!! :) This month, I decided to stick with my Boho Glam selections. Funny, the Julep Style Profiles must be pretty spot-on because I almost always stick with Boho Glam.

The other great thing? You can skip a month! If you can't find a box that you like (unlikely, but I guess it happens) or if you just don't feel like spending the $20.00 for a particular month (hey, we are all on budgets, right?), then you can simply opt to skip a month.

It seems that the emails usually come out about a week or so before the box arrives. I love that! You can choose the box you want, get a glimpse of the products, and then anticipate the arrival of your box. Does picking the box ruin the "surprise factor" that I seem to love with my beauty subscriptions? Not really! I just think of the "surprise reveal" as the email. I get sooooo excited when I get my monthly Julep email with the box options. Then, when you get your box, there is also always a "surprise extra" gift in the box. So, there is still plenty of suspense.

Julep Maven July 2012 "Boho Glam" : Box Opening!

Happy 4th of July!!!

I am falling more "in love" with my Julep Maven subscription every month! I really adore this months box!!!

In honor of the 4th of July, Julep sent out a spectacular patriotic-themed July Julep Maven box!!! Not only was the packaging cute and festive (as usual), but also Julep sent out an additional limited-edition bonus polish "America the Beautiful"!!! This patriotic polish is perfect for my 4th of July manicure with its red shade and silver and blue stars and glitter! What a nice addition to the box! Julep totally spoiled me this month with a fabulous box!!!

Subscribing to Julep Maven: The Monthly Nail-Lovers Beauty Box!!!

Without going into too much detail, lets talk the basics of the Julep Maven program:

• For $20.00 per month, you get a beautifully packaged Julep Maven box! Yes, this is more than many $10/month subscriptions. But, remember, you are getting *full sized* products with Julep!

• There is no obligation to get a box each month! If you do not feel like forking out the $20 on a particular month or if you do not wish to get a box, you can always opt to "skip the month". Plenty of options!

It is time for my monthly Julep Maven box opening! I have been a Julep Maven subscriber for a few months now and I must say, these boxes are consistently great! Since you are able to choose your box with Maven, I already knew what was coming. So, I am super excited to get this box!!! While I know what is inside, they also send some "extras" which are a surprise.

How Julep Maven Works:
In a nutshell, Julep Maven is a monthly beauty box subscription. Unlike other Beauty Box subscriptions, the products included in the Julep Maven boxes are all full sized products. The Julep Maven boxes have a "nail" theme and contain Julep nail polishes and Julep spa products. If you have never tried the Julep brand before, the polishes are fabulous and the spa products are very nice too! Actually, I can honestly say that I love everything that I have ever gotten in my Julep Maven boxes! The subscription costs $20 per month, which is more pricey than many of the $10 per month beauty sample boxes; but, keep in mind that you get more value in this box! These are full sized products not samples! :)

Do you know what else I love? You can pick your box! Julep selects a box for you based on your beauty profile. Every month Julep emails you with photos of your selection. If you do not like or want what is selected for you, you can choose another theme box. This month I selected the "Classic with a Twist" theme box. Also, if you do not feel like forking out the $20 on a particular month or if you do not wish to get a box, you can always opt to "skip the month". Plenty of options!

The Julep Maven boxes are a bit different.
First of all, they are not "sample" boxes: The products are full sized! Also, with Julep Maven boxes being a box of full sized products, you do pay more: $20.00 per month. What else is different? Since Julep is a Nail Polish/Nail Care company, the boxes all contain nail polish, nail care tools, and nails or hands/feet products. If you are a polish lover, there is no question that you would enjoy the Julep Maven Boxes!

Choose the box you want!
You get choice with your Julep Maven subscription. When you sign up, you complete a style quiz/profile. Your box is based on your results. My quiz revealed "Classic with a Twist". The cool thing? Julep posts and emails what is going to be in each themed box every month. If you do not want or need the items in your box theme category for the month, you simply select the box that you do want from another theme(or opt out for the month). So far, I have gotten "Boho Glam" boxes and "American Beauty" boxes. It was so quick and easy to select another box.

Yes, you pay a bit more for the Julep Maven subscription at $19.99 monthly; but, what a great value in each box! Their polishes retail for $14.00. So, the value is clear! You get over $40 value of products in each box. Plus, if you want to place an order on their site, you get an automatic 20% off plus free shipping.What else is great? Your polishes are all on-trend and selected for you based on your style-profile (and, like I mentioned, you can always switch your style month-to-month). There is not "getting a bad/dud box" because you know what the box is before it ships out. If you don't like any of the options, skip the month.

Julep Maven Box Opening: April 2012 (Boho Glam)

Hello Beauties! It's time for another "box opening" post! If ya'll read yesterday's Julep Maven Intro Box post, you know that I am a new subscriber to Julep's monthly Maven beauty box program.

I am no stranger to monthly beauty subscriptions! I am a beauty-subscription junkie of sorts. But, Julep is the only one (that I know of) that offers all full-sized products in their monthly box. Yes, you pay a bit more for the Julep Maven subscription at $19.99 monthly; but, what a great value in each box! Their polishes retail for $14.00. So, the value is clear! You get over $40 value of products in each box. Plus, if you want to place an order on their site, you get an automatic 20% off plus free shipping.What else is great? Your polishes are all on-trend and selected for you based on your style-profile. If you don't like what is offered for your particular style that month, you can switch your box! This way you are guaranteed to get something that you will not only use, but also like and get excited about!

So, I subscribed last month, and got my first intro box. Then, not even a week later, I got the next monthly box. I was a bit surprised that I got it so quickly. Actually, I even emailed Julep to make sure that I wasn't getting a duplicate box in error. Just so you know, the intro box is not your first "Monthly Maven Box". You will pay for the monthly box in *addition* to the intro box. The good news is that the intro box was only 1 cent! Customer service replied quickly and assured me that I would be getting a different box and that boxes are billed at the 27th of each month for the following month. You can make changes to your account between the 20th-24th of each month. You can choose a different box or choose "skip a month". I do like that Julep offers a few options here. I mean, there might just be a month where you don't want to fork out the $20. Or, you might already have polishes that are similar to your box so you can choose a different box (or opt out completely). For next month, I am going to plan ahead and get on the Julep site during their 20th-24th window to make sure that I select the box that I would like! :)

Okay, enough about all that...lets see what is in this month's box for the "Boho Glam" style! My style profile quiz revealed that I am "Classic" with a twist, but since I opted for the Boho Glam intro box, the Boho Glam Monthly box was automatically sent. What is Boho Glam? When I think Boho Glam, I automatically envision Nicole Ritchie.

Am I happy with this subscription service? Will I continue to subscribe?

Julep Maven Sneak Peek Box: A Monthly Box for Nail Lovers (discount for my readers!)

Monthly/Quarterly sample box subscriptions sure seem to be the "thing" lately, or at least my thing lately! :) As ya'll know, I am a huge fan of Birchbox and New Beauty's Beauty Test Tubes.
