It is not everyday that I get to talk about one of my holy grail products! So, I am super excited to talk to you guys today about my holy grail everyday under-eye concealer (drumroll please)....Hard Candy's Glamoflauge. Not only do I get amazing coverage from this product, but also it is extremely affordable and available at your local Walmart!!! 

Besides talking about my HG Glamoflauge Concealer, we are also going to chat about Glamoflauge Foundation and Hard Candy's Soft Glide Long Wear Eyeliners. While I have been using Glamoflauge Concealer for ages, the other products are totally new-to-me! :)

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Concealer:
This product is sooooo good! Holy Grail status for sure. Just a bit of background here before we dive into my review...I struggle with uber dark under eye circles. I mean, they are bad. I have allergies, hereditary dark circles, and generally never get enough sleep. Plus, my eyes are prone to irritation because of my sensitive skin. Add this all up and I get the purple/dark circles and the redness. Not cute. So, I need a lot of coverage. Most concealers are simply just not pigmented enough. I need high pigmentation. However, I still want the product be be blendable and not look cakey. Glamoflauge is full coverage and totally fits my needs! It gives great coverage, blends like a dream, and looks natural.

Generally, I am between the shade #487 Ultra Light and #977 Fair. However, my Walmart does not always stock all of the shades. So, I have been able to get the other lighter shades to work for me as well like #312 Light and #1220 Light Beige.

Glamoflauge comes in 15 shades and retails for $6.00 at Walmart. One tube will last you forever as you only need a small amount for great coverage. What a deal! Seriously, one of my favorite concealers, ever, and one of the least expensive ones I have ever tried!

Also, Glamoflauge also comes with a mini concealer pencil. I will admit that I honestly never use it, but it could be handy for spot covering blemishes.

Hard Candy | Glamoflauge Foundation:
With how much I love Glamoflauge Concealer, you know that I was excited to try out the foundation of the same name. #930 Porcelain is a pretty close match for my ultra fair skin. It is a liquid-powder formulation that works to absorb extra oil, camoflauge and cover your imperfections. I would say that this foundation wears pretty well, but not all-day (so I would not describe it as long-wearing foundation). I do feel that it is a little more coverage than I need. However, I must note that I don't always wear foundations and when I do lately, I am preferring very light coverage and a natural sheer finish. However, if you are looking for medium-full coverage, you should check out this foundation! It is a deal at $7.00 a bottle and it comes in 9 shades!

Hard Candy | Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils:
Creamy Eye Pencils are my go-to lately when I want to line my eyes. Nothing beats the ease of a pencil for quick application and nice wear. These Stroke of Gorgeous Long Wear Eyeliner Pencils from Hard Candy are fantastic! They blend well and dry to a very longwearing and non-transferring product. I have the shades Glitter Treasure Chest and Creamy Matte Dark Chocolate and love them both. I would love to try more shades! Especially the shimmer shades! These retail for $5.00 each at Walmart. What a steal!

As someone who loves to eat clean and live a healthy lifestyle, the Youth to the People superfood-based product line really appeals to me! This oil leaves my skin feeling so lovely!!! The oil has a very light feel and glides on beautifully. After a few minutes it sinks in with no oily residue. It just leaves behind a beautiful luminosity to the skin. It has a super light fruity scent that makes it very refreshing to apply. Now, generally, I do prefer non-scented products for my sensitive skin. However, I must admit that at the same time, appealing scents do draw me in...especially when it is a natural scent of a key ingredient and not a "added scent"...this is a scent of an important active ingredient in the product. 

I use this product in a varitey of ways...I like adding this oil as a drop in my morning SPF/moisturizer, a few drops after cleansing my face, or as the final touch in my skincare routine: smoothing a drop or two after all my skincare treatments. Love it!!!

This eye cream was formulated to combat dryness, lack of firmness, and fine lines and wrinkles. While I don't have lack of firmness, my eye area can tend to be dry, irritated, and some fine lines are apparent. This eye cream works to smooth out my eye area and leaves it feeling hydrated and plump. I like the light feel and fast absorbsion. I struggle with dark under eye circles. While this product doesnt specifically target that issue, I do find that it leaves the eyes prepped well for the concealer that I need to combat the dark circles. So, it layers very well under my makeup!

I am so excited to dive into a review of some C.O. Bigelow skincare and aromatherapy products! I have been a fan of their Rose Salve, Mentha Lip Shine, and Nightime Lip Balm for years. So, now I am excited to explore the line further! 

C.O. Bigelow is one of the oldest Apothecary brands around with a long history of great formulas. The line offers a huge variety of skincare, bath and body products, homeopathic remedies, hair, makeup, men's products, fragrances, tools, aromatherapy products, home scents, and even baby products! Today we are going to talk aromatherapy, perfume oils, and skincare as those are the items that I have recently had the opporutnity to try out. Let me just start out by saying that I am a huge fan and would love to explore the line even further! 

Skincare:

In addition to the C.O. Bigelow skincare line, the site also offers a few other skincare brands. I was able to try out the C.O. Bigelow Rosewater Tonic for review. 

C.O. Bigelow Rosewater Skin Tonic is infused with purifying witch hazel, hydrating rose extract and soothing chamomile. In addition, this balancing toner also contains exfoliating salicylic acid for a clean, clear complexion. I am a big fan of using witch hazel for a toner as it is anti-inflammatory and soothing. Plus, salicylic acid is a favorite ingredient in my skincare routine as it does work wonders to keep my skin clear. This toner is a nice 2nd step to my skincare routine on evenings that I do not use a retinol (as that does not mix well with salicylic acid). 

Price: $18

Perfume Oils:

C.O. Bigelow has a fantastic assortment of Perfume Oils. Perfume oils are not to be confused with essential oils. These are not essential oils. Rather, they are a pre-mixed fragrance in a carrier oil. So, they are not straight essential oils but they possibly have essential oils mixed in as part of the fragrance component. These blends can be directly applied to the skin to be worn as a fragrance. I got to try out both the Fresia and the Rose Fragrance oils. I like the lovely floral scent of these fragrance oils. You only need to dab a small amount on your skin. This will last you all day with no need to re-apply. I would really love to try their Vanilla fragrance oil next! The Perfume Oils retail for $15.00 each. Since it only takes a small amount, a bottle will last a long time. That is a tremendous value for a fragrance. 

Essential Oils:

As many of ya'll know, I am a big fan of essential oils. I am almost always diffusing oils in my home and I love making DIY bath and body products with Essential Oils. So, I am super excited that C.O. Bigelow sell essential oils! I was able to try out their Jasmine essential oil and I am so excited to finally add Jasmine to my EO collection! Jasmine is beautiful as a fragrance (mixed with a carrier oil or added to a lotion). In addition, Jasmine has amazing properties with indications for use as the following: antidepressant, antiseptic, emollient,  antispasmodic and sedative. Not to mention the aphrodisiac properties. This is a lovely uplifiting oil with a beautiful and complex scent. C.O. Bigelow has a huge assortment of Essential Oils available. I am really excited to explore their Essential Oils further as the quality is fanastic as is the assortment of offerings. 

Overall, I am super impressed with the Apothecary Skincare, Aromatherapy, and Perfume Oil products that I got to try out from C. O. Bigelow!

The kit also includes much, much more like: a mini sewing kit, an eye liner, hair spray, lip gloss, a comb, deoderant, nail glue, bobby pins (will switch out the black ones for blonde ones), hair ties, mint breath drops, bronzer, band aids, tooth flossers, maxi pad liners, tampons, tweezers, earring backs, and more! 

Once you unbox the items (the items inside are boxed), you will have a little bit of additional space left over to personalize this kit by adding a few more items if you need. I added some more medicines, kid's bandaids, wound disinfectant, and hand wipes.

Do you have antioxidants in your skincare routine? Personally, I feel that antioxidants should be a must in any good skincare routine. I like to think of it as a vitamin for the skin. How I Use:
I like using Antioxidant products in the morning as they work preventatively against free-radical damage and sun exposure damage. So, they work well into my morning routine underneath sunscreen.

I start with the C-Effects™ Super- C™ Cleanser. After rinsing, I apply the C-Effects™ Super-C™ Toner by misting my hands and then patting it onto my skin gently. Then I apply one pump of the C-Effects™ Lotion. I follow this up with application of sunscreen. The C-Effects™have a very pleasent light orange scent. The products are hydrating and leave my skin feeling fresh without any irritation. Overall, I am super pleased with these products! Protect from Odor Naturally: Crystal Invisible Solid Deodorant Sticks:

Have you explored natural deodorants? As much as I love the odor and wetness protection that I get from my traditional aluminum-based favorite deodorants like Secret, Degree, and Dove, every once in awhile I do like to explore natural deodorant options. Why? Well, there is certainly some information out there that there could potentially be some risks with using aluminum-based deodorants. As far as I know, there is no conclusive evidence of traditional deodorants causing disease. I do not believe that we absorb enough of the aluminum to cause a problem. However, I do believe that aluminum-based deodorants overly disrupt the natural bacteria balance under your arms. While I love the odor protection, I do sometimes question if I should be using something more natural.

So, what is a girl to do? I certainly don't want to "smell"...and I do tend to really need deodorants to fight this. What I am currently trying to do is to use a natural deodorant a few days a week to give my skin a few "off days" from the aluminum-based deodorants. I tend to pick those days based on my schedule and if I am just going to be around the house, etc. If I am working, or have a special occasion, or if I am working out, I am certainly going to need the odor protection of something stronger. However, on "easy" home days, natural deodorants are the way to go!

To use, I apply to clean and dry underarm skin. I apply the product very generously. Honestly, I pretty much apply this just as I would a traditional deodorant. If I feel that I need to, I apply again later in the day to freshen up.

I feel that the Crystal Invisible Solid Deodorant Sticks are relatively effective when it comes to fighting odor. No, not 100%, but they do help. What I love about the Crystal Invisible Solid Deodorants is that they give your underarm skin a break from all of the chemicals and aluminum of traditional deodorants. I think of it as a couple days a week of underarm detox. Plus, the Crystal Deodorants are so smoothing and soothing to use! They moisturize beautifully and really leave my underarms feeling soothed.
