Makeup Wars! Battle of the "Best Makeup Brush"

It is time for another Makeup Wars battle! This time the Makeup Wars bloggers are battling over the "Best Makeup Brush".

These Makeup Wars posts are so fun! Basically, the Makeup Wars bloggers are a small group of beauty-obsessed bloggers who like a good challenge (and enjoy giving a nod to Star Wars! lol). We choose a topic, product, or challenge to blog about. Then we publish our posts at exactly the same time linking each other through the graphic on the top of this post (the "Last Brush" and "Next Brush" links). This allows our readers to scroll through all of our blogs to see a variety of bloggers thoughts on a single topic like "Favorite Makeup Brushes". Also, there is a graphic on the bottom of this post that displays all of our blogs if you want to click through that way. I encourage everyone to visit all the Makeup Wars blogger's blogs! I know that I always look forward to seeing what everyone picked for each challenge!!! Did you miss our last challenges? Here they are: Battle of the Taupes, The $20.00 Face Challenge, Battle of the Favorite Summer Lippie, and the Most Expensive Face Challenge.

This is such an easy challenge for me as I have a *clear favorite* in the category of makeup brushes. It is actually a brush that "changed my life" as far as makeup application...Not only is it amongst the softest brushes in my collection, it is also great quality, easy to use, and it made me start liking a whole new category of makeup (because of the ease of application with this brush!). Are you intrigued yet? If you are dying to know which brush I picked, keep reading!

My Favorite Makeup Brush: The Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki!!!
This foundation brush is a-ma-zing!!! Its super soft and dense hairs feel like a dream on your skin. Foundation application is absolutely flawless with this brush.

I am not a liquid foundation girl. Well, I am now...but, I wasn't before this brush! Historically, I have always preferred a powder foundation or no foundation at all. Liquid foundation just always seemed "heavy" to me and I just didn't love all of the blending.

Enter the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki...Yes, a life-changing brush, lol! It makes applying liquid foundation a total breeze. Just dot the foundation on key areas of your face (I do a dot on chin, cheeks, and forhead) and then blend out with this soft brush. It perfectly distributes the product and gives your face almost an "airbrushed" appearance. Love, love, love this brush!

I won't go into any more detail in this post as I have already reviewed this brush here: Sigma F30 Flat Top Kabuki. Be sure to check out that review!

I <3 this brush!!!

I freaking LOVE this brush. It revolutionized cream blush for me. I almost used it to my fave brush but chose the 168 since I had 3 of them LMAO

Sigma's brushes seem to be hit or miss for me. Thanks for letting me know this is a good one, I'm always looking for new ways to perfect my foundation!

@Brooke BlushingNoir-Yes, isn't this brush amazeballs? Love, love, love it to no end! :) Can't wait to read everyone else's post!!!

I'm not a liquid foundation person but a tinted moisturizer person as I don't like the heaviness of liquid as well. I just bought a duo fiber blush from Hakuhodo and can't wait to test out it performance. I'm on Mac mineralized foundation powder in summer still, so have to wait till cooler weather to test.

I wanted to get some Sigma brushes when I was at IMATS but the lines were incredible. I should find out what other brushes besides this one I should get for the next time I can go to IMATS.

@Krystle-Sure! This is my fave from Sigma for sure! :) Gives such great foundation coverage. Highly recommend!

@Coco-I think this brush works great for tinted moisturizers too. :) I am still leaning a bit more towards powders in this hot weather...and I rotate with TMs.

@Marcia (beauty info zone): Oh, too bad about the lines (I hope to go to an IMATS one of these days!). Besides this brush, I love the tapered face brush (perfect for bronzer and contouring) and the angled contour brush (just like the MAC one that Brooke posted about for this challenge). I hear the whole sigmax line is great (but I only have the f80 so far).

I have an almost identical brush from IT Cosmetics and have only used it with powder. I will be trying it out with liquid foundation now too.

@Teri-You should try your iT Cosmetics brush for sure! I think that these type of dense/flat brushes are much easier to work with and give better results. :)

I still haven't tried any brushes from Sigma. This one looks great.

I got this brush at The Makeup Show and don't think I've even opened it yet! Definitely pulling it out & giving it a try. Thx for the great review!

Oh, this style looks like it would be good for powder foundation. I wouldn't have thought to try it with liquid.

@Perilously Pale-I really love Sigma brushes! :)

@Beauty411-You should totally pull it out and give it a try!

@Phyrra-Yes, good for powder too!

I haven't really played with my Sigma brush from TMS, either, but you make me want to drag it out and try it with my BB creams now.

@oldergirlbeauty-Drag it out and play Paula! :) Works great with BBs too!

Sigma is on my list of things to try. I'll have to check this one out!
