Nothing beats a warm bath, soothing music, a facial mask, and candles to get me relaxed and feeling more like myself! I wait until the kids are down for the evening so that I can take my time and really enjoy the full spa experience. 

I like switching up my facial masks and body products depending on what my skin needs. Recently, I have been using the TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask and I am really loving it!

My Skin:

I have classic combination skin that is also somewhat sensitive (occasional redness or irritation bumps). My skin is more oily-normal in the warmer months. However, once it turns cold, I am normal-dry. I am in my early 40's. Luckily I do not have any major signs of aging yet. However, I am really trying to use the best possible skincare to keep signs of aging at bay. I do occasionally experience mild breakouts and clogged pores.

The mask itself is in a powder form. So, you mix it up with warm water right before use. I use approximately 50% water to 50% powdered mask. I recommend to add less water first and then slowly add more as needed. That way, you don't end up mixing more mask than you need (which would waste it). When mixed with water, the mask turns into a super creamy paste-like consistency. The texture actually surprised me! I thought that it would feel gritty...but, no! It is super soft and smooth and creamy. It feels really good going on the skin.

TruSelf Organics recommends starting out with using this mask once or twice weekly for up to 10 minutes. As your skin gets acclimated to the mask, you can increase your usage and allow the mask to fully dry (which takes about 30 mins). I find that for my skin, I do best when I do not let the mask fully dry. 

How I Use my TruSelf Organics Detoxifying Mask:

First I gently cleanse my skin. Then I apply the mixed mask to my face with my hands. I leave the mask on for almost 10 minutes.

This mask is so powerful. It is probably one of the most powerful masks that I have ever used. It really sucks everything out of your pores. It is quite impressive! The mask becomes tight feeling on your skin as it starts to dry. You can really feel the lifting and tightening effect on your skin. Sometimes I like to apply the mask before getting into the bathtub. I can let it sit while the steam helps it to penetrate. However, I also use this mask on non-bath nights, too! After about 10 minutes, I rinse the mask with water. Sometimes I like to rinse it and then use a warm wet washcloth to help remove the mask. Then I let the warm washcloth just lie on my face for a few minutes. I love the feeling! Very spa-like!

After rinsing off the mask, my skin is incredibly soft and smooth. This mask provides a high level of exfoliation which I really do enjoy. My skin responds so well to this mask! I really love it. I think that it is one of the most effective masks that I own. This is a great mask to use whenever you feel like you have clogged pores or breakouts that you need to banish. Plus, I feel that my skincare products absorb better and apply better after the deep cleansing and exfoliation that this mask provides. Even the next morning after an evening mask application, I notice how ultra soft my skin is. Also, I must say that I am impressed with how gentle the mask is. I have somewhat sensitive skin and this mask does not irritate my skin nor leave me looking red or irritated. It is nice to find a balance: a mask that is strong enough to do great things for your skin without risking irritation.

How I got my Great Deals: 
Shopping tips for using CVS Extra Care card, Extra Bucks, and Coupons:

There is no question, I got some amazing deals during my CVS haul! One thing I have really noticed in my years of CVS shopping, the more you spend, the better the deals. For this haul, I got over $160 worth of products for just over $110! Amazing! So, how did I save so much money??? Here is how I got such a great deal: First, I downloaded a 25% off coupon digitally to my CVS extracare (discount card I carry on my key chain). I got the coupon in my email which is linked to my CVS extracare card number. It was as easy as reading my email on my phone and clicking "download to card". Whenever I get to CVS, I scan my card at one of their kiosks. The kiosk prints out coupon and a summary of the discounts on my card. So, when I got to CVS to shop, the kiosk print out confirmed my 25% was loaded and printed me out about 5 coupons (3 of which I used in my haul for $2 off over $10 in vitamins, $3.00 off Revlon, and $1.50 off of Batteries). Plus, my purchase earned me $7.00 in Extra Bucks (a coupon you get after purchase attached to your recipt. Extra Bucks work just like cash at CVS!). Tip: I have found that I do best when I use my Extra Bucks right away (otherwise, I risk losing them in my purse or forgetting about them). So, just when I thought I was "done" shopping, I used my $7.00 Extra Bucks coupon to buy a Revlon lipstick with my $3.00 off coupon. This saved me $10.00! Top Ten Tuesdays: Top Ten Foundations

It is time for Top Ten Tuesdays! This week we are sharing our Top Ten Foundations. Over the years, I have really grown to love foundation. Nothing perfects your skin better! There are quite a few in my current makeup rotation. From liquid to powder and matte to dewy or sheet to full coverage, I really do like a variety of formulations and finishes. It just depends on my mood and what look and feel I want on that particular day. So, without further ado, here is my list! I have both high end and drugstore loves to share! :) 

Top Ten Tuesdays: Top Ten Foundations:

• Rimmel | Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation with Comfort Serum: This is one of my newest favorites and it is a drugstore formula! Love the smooth feel and great coverage. Not to mention, Light Porcelain is a perfect match for me! What to hear more, check out my full blog review of this beautiful foundation here. :) 

• MAC | Studio Fix Powder Foundation: This is my longest running favorite foundation! Actually, this is the first foundation that I ever wore on a regular basis. For day-to-day/everyday wear, I prefer the ease of dusting a light layer of powder foundation. The coverage of this powder is just amazing. Just an easy and light dusting really perfects my skin and leaves me looking flawless. NC15 is a perfect match for me in this foundation. I am never without this. As soon as I run out, I always buy more. Also, sometimes I layer this over a lighter coverage liquid foundation to increase coverage. Love, love, love this! 

• Laura Mercier | Silk Creme Moisturizing Foundation: This foundation has the most beautiful feel! I adore everything about it and reach for it often. This foundation comes in both moisturizing and oil-free formulations. 

• It Cosmetics | Celebration Foundation: This is a fabulous powder foundation! It is packed with anti-aging ingedients. So, like all IT Cosmetics products, it is good for your skin while giving you a flawless finish! While it is a powder, it has a luxurious creamy feel and fabulous luminous coverage.

• COVERGIRL | Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation: The Classic Ivory shade is a pretty good match for me in the Summer when my complexion is slightly darker. While I do wish this was slightly lighter, I still love the look, feel, and coverage of this foundation. Plus, the price is great! 

• Urban Decay | Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Makeup: Like the name states, this foundation feels weightless on your skin. This foundation honestly looks like "real skin"...but better! It is so natural, so light, and so flawless while still giving good coverage. Plus the shade 0.5 Cool/Very Fair is a perfect match for me. 

• Shiseido | UV Protective Stick Foundation: This stick foundation from Shiseido is phenomenal! It is water-resistant and it contains SPF. So, it is a perfect Summer foundation for me. The shade Fair Ivory is a decent match for my skin tone (just slightly too dark...but, it works in the Summer when I am slightly darker and self-tanning). This glides on smoothly and it is a perfect small size for your purse for touch-ups! 

• Lancome | Teint Visionaire Skin Correcting Makeup Duo: I love this 2-in-1 from Lancome! It has a liquid foundation on the bottom that is packed with anti-aging ingredients (contains the active ingredient as Lancome's Visonaire Serum!!!) as well as light-refecting skin enhancers. The top flips up to reveal a creamy concealer. This is a great idea! I use the liquid all over and then use the concealer to give more coverage where I need it on my face. I love how my skin looks with this: flawless with a dewy glow. Beautiful! I wear shade #100 Ivoire. 

• tarte | Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation: As much as I have grown to love liquid formula foundations, I admit that for "easy makeup" days, I always reach for a powder formula. This is so fast and easy to apply. It has all good ingredients in it, too. I like the natural finish (not totally matte). You can build coverage from light-full depending on how you apply. I apply it with tarte's brush and it looks flaweless. Plus, this really lasts all day! I wear the shade fair-light neutral.

• NARS | Sheer Glow Foundation: This hydrating and luminous formula leaves my skin looking so perfected while feeling so light on my skin. The shade match of Siberia is spot on to my skintone in the Winter. So, this is a perfect foundation for right now! Love, love, love it!

So, that is it! My Top 10 Foundations. If I was forced to choose a Top 3 out of this list, they would be NARS Sheer Glow, MAC Studio Fix, and Urban Decay Naked Skin because those three are the best matches for my ultra light skin tone. However, all ten of these really are fabulous! So, be sure to check them out. What a lovely idea... making your own "Sun" every day. As an eternal optimist, this idea really resonates with me. So, when I was approached by BIC^® through POPSUGAR Select Beauty to write about this topic, I was immediately on board! However, it is worth it. Recharging in the mornings with some "me time" is the zen that I need for my zestful day! A big part of my morning shower is my daily shaving. Sometimes it is these little cute things that perk me up and add the extra "sun" into my shower! I am a girl that absolutely does not feel like myself or put together without a daily shave. I love using the BIC^® Soleil^® Glow^® Razors in the shower every morning. They certainly are cheerful razors. Hey, as I mentioned, my morning shower is my "me time". So, using these cute razors does perk me up and certainly contributes to my "sun"! I find that the razors are not only cute, cheerful, and colorful, but also they deliver an excellent shave. They are easy and comfortable to grip. The flexible pivoting head with the lubricating strips and the flexible triple blades provide a shave that is smooth and accurate without irritation. My legs feel silky smooth after shaving with these razors! I am somewhat prone to razor burn, ingrown hairs, and irritation. However, I have had none of these issues while using these razors.
