Smooth Perfected Skin with Osmosis Stem Factor Serum and Clear Plus+ Hydrating Mist

Every once in awhile I stumble across a product or products that really just blow me away. Let me tell ya'll, I am so impressed with Osmosis and their Stem Factor Serum! 

Have you heard of Osmosis Skincare? It is a "medical grade" skincare line that is sold in spas and dermatologist's offices and online on sites that specialize in medical grade skincare. Osmosis has a different approach to treating your skin. Rather than attacking aging and breakouts with powerful ingredients that irritate (like most lines do), it targets your skin with healing ingredients that support the health of your skin. 

Honestly, when I started testing out the Stem Factor serum by Osmosis, I did expect it to be good. However, I didn't expect the results to be that noticable...but they were! I have been using the Stem Factor Serum plus the Clear Plus+ Activating Mist for about 2 months and absolutely love the results! My skin has a smooth, clear, even toned, and almost poreless look. It is hydrated and firm and just looks so healthy. It is almost hard to describe. However, it is noticable! I have continued to use my Rx Retin-A during my product testing a few nights a week (as I get fantastic results from that as well). What I think is happening is that they Osmois Stem Factor is healing any dryness, redness, and irritation that is secondary to Retin-A use. My skin has a healthy and plumped look. I feel that my fine lines are smoothed and the tone of my skin is so even and clear. Honestly, I have not had a breakout in forever since using this. Also, my pores are diminished.

My only minor critique is that the packaging is not very luxe for the price. However, since my product testing started, Osmosis has updated their packaging! So, the new packaging is apparently much nicer. I know that packaging is just packaging...however, it I am paying that much for a product, I do expect the packaging to be nice. 

Osmosis Stem Factor:

According to Osmosis, they use advanced technology utilizing exosomes that encapsulate the growth factors and proteins increasing penetration, stability and activating more receptors to enhance results. Over 150 different skin growth factors derived from adult stem cells create this magical serum that improves all aspects of skin aging and skin damage. It gently restores the repair process and stimulates new cells to build collagen and elastin, heal hyperpigmentation and reverse aging.

With the packaging and product makeover, Osmosis Stem Factor will now be called Osmosis +Skincare Growth Factor Serum. From Osmosis: The 'fountain of youth' in a bottle. This one-of-a-kind serum is powered by over 150 different growth factors with advanced technology to rejuvenate, heal, and protect for visibly younger-looking skin after just one use.

Osmosis Clear Plus+ Activating Hydration Mist:

This mist is to be used immediately after Osmosis Serums to enhance penetration of the product and to boost hydration. I just spray into my hands and then pat it onto my face. I do find it to be very soothing to use. According to Osmosis, this product refreshes your complexion to maintain a balanced level of hydration. The spray quickly penetrates the outer dermis of your skin to firm, soothe and moisturize your texture. Hyaluronic acid is the key ingredient in this product.

Clear Plus is being replaced by a product called Osmosis +MD Boost Peptide Activating Mist. Since it is in the MD line, it will only be available by purchasing it through a licensed spa professional/salon.

How I Use Stem Factor and Clear Plus+:

I use these products together to maximize my results. After gently cleansing and washing my face, I apply one pump of Stem Factor in the evening. Immediately after, I spray the Clear Plus+ onto my hands and then pat it on my face. As soon as the products dry down, I top off with a moisturizer. I use these products on "nights off" of using my Retin-a treatment.

Honestly, I love these products so much that I am sad that I am almost out of the Stem Factor serum! The product does go quickly and it is very expensive. Stem Factor retails for $130 and Clear Plus+ retails for $30 (I still have a ton of Clear Plus+ left). I am excited about the packaging and brand redesign and relaunch. I am hoping to get to try out the newly launched products and upgraded packaging. I will certainly update this post and give social media updates once I have tried the new products and packaging! :) I think it will certainly be a change for the better. The products themselves are fantastic. So, better packaging would just be the icing on the cake! :)

I like that this daily SPF feels lightweight and absorbs quickly to leave a smooth, clear, and matte finish. 

Key Active Ingredients:

• Titanium Dioxide 0.67%–PhysicallyshieldstheskinfromUV exposure, disperses damaging UV rays to limit photo aging, and creates an occlusive barrier.
• Zinc Oxide (ZinClearTM) 11.6% – A non-opaque Zinc Oxide that provides natural protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
• Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder – Assists in pain relief, reduces inflammation, rehydrates, and improves the skin’s natural UV absorption capabilities.

I am a big believer in wearing sunscreen *daily* and reapplying throughout the day. We must protect ourselves from the sun. I have lost a dear friend to melanoma and my Dad struggled throughout his life with constantly getting basal cell carcinomas removed. Prevention is the key! 

To Use: I apply this in the mornings after washing my face, toning, and spot treating breakouts. 

Remarkable Retinal Serum:

Vitamin A derivatives are the gold standard in skincare. They are the #1 proven anti-aging ingredient. So, I am always trying to incorporate Vitamin A products into my skincare routine. To Use: 

I apply this in the evenings after washing my face. I apply a small amount of this all over (avoiding eye area). Then about 20-30 min later I follow up with a moisturizer. My skin tolerates this Retinal very well and I have had no issues with irritation or dryness from the product.

Now ya'll know that I love me some Kiehl's, right? Well, with their personalized skincare service the Apothecary Preparations, they have even exceeded my super high expectations! 

Kiehl's has a long history. They have been around since 1851 and started then as an Apothecary in New York City. Well, with their new personalized Apothecary Preparations, they are really going back to their Apothecary roots! The Apotehcary Preparations are completely personalized to your own unique skincare concerns. I can't wait to tell you more about mine and the experience.

Kiehl's Apothecary Preparations: 
Getting Your Personalized Serum: How it works:

When you go to a Kiehl's store, a skincare expert there will sit down with you for a 1:1 consultation. For my experience we discussed my skincare concerns as we went through a book with pictures to help identify the state of your skin in reguards to Kiehl's TARGETED COMPLEXES for
Wrinkles, Texture, Clarity, Enlarged Pores, and Redness. The idea here is that you are identifying which of these are your primary concerns.

While many of these targeted areas are concerns on some level, Kiehl's helped me to identify my top two: Pores and Visible Redness. Lines and wrinkles are a "concern" of mine. However, my concern is about prevention, not diminishing existing lines and wrinkles. So, while that area is a concern. It is not a top concern. So, the wrinkle complex is not in my formula. (I kinda wish it was though as it is the target complex with Retinol!).

Kiehl's will give you a custom label for your Apothecary Preparation Skin Serum and also a personal "perscription" for when you want to come in for a refill. They can simply scan it you can refil the same exact formula. So, you take home a jar of serum with two tubes of additives that you mix in at home. I love this!!! You really feel like a home chemist formulating your own unique and custom created skincare.

For my skin, I was instructed to use this serum either morning or night or both (up to me). Since I do love using Retinol, and Retinol is not in this Apothecary formula, I will be using this serum primarily in the mornings after cleansing and before moisturizing/applying sunscreen. The Kiehl's associate made it clear that my skin will be more sensitive to the sun from the actives in my formula. So, I really like how clear he made it that I needed sunscreen (I already know this but I am glad it is part of what they tell people). I only need 1-2 drops of this serum for effectiveness. I love the feel of this serum on my skin! I have only used it for a few weeks and I am already seeing noticable results.

If you are in a lull with your skincare routine, or if you perhaps are just feeling kinda lost with what your serum needs are, you should consider getting your own custom formula at Kiehl's! It was such a fun experience and I honestly feel like I learned so much about my skincare routine. Plus, they talk you through your routine as far as the order of application and everything. With a custom formula, you really can't go wrong! Plus, you don't have actives in your formula that you don't need!

Overall, the Kiehl's custom Apothecary Preparations consultation was a fantastic experience! I walked away with more knowledge of my own skin, a better understanding of my skincare routine, and an amazing custom product which is exactly what my skin needs!!!

In addition to the Apothecary Preparation skincare experience, I also walked away with a few additional products to suppliment my skincare routine. Many of these are old favorites...but, I just had to tell you about Kiehl's brand new sleeping mask...

NEW Face Mask: The Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask:

Facial masks are a weekly part of my skincare routine. So, I am super excited to get to try out this brand new one from Kiehl's! The day that I went to the Kiehl's flagship store in Atlanta at Lenox Mall, I was able to come away with this amazing mask on the very day it launched! 

My skincare expert at Kiehl's told me to use the mask after cleansing my face. I like the idea that on mask night (with this mask), I will have a simplified routine. Literally all you do is cleanse your face and then apply this mask. You can either tissue off the excess or just apply a thinner layer and leave it on all night. For nights with this mask, that is the only skincare you will need! As someone with a long multi-step routine, I love the idea of a mask not being an "extra" step, but as a more simplified night routine. So, I am going to literally use this mask when I feel like my skin needs some extra moisture and attention but on nights that I don't want a long routine! Since this mask is on your skin all night, it really is a sleeping mask and will do its amazing work on your skin while you sleep. So, you wake up nicely hydrated! I love the gorgeous scent and feel of this mask. I do not have trouble with lack of firmness in my skin. So, I can't speak to that benefit. However, I do feel that my skin is more plumped, smoothed, and hydrated when I wake up in the morning after using this mask.

Tackle Your Under-Eye Issues with Sudden Change Under-Eye Firming Serum: Review and Giveaway!

Does your under-eye area struggle? Do you have issues like under-eye bags, dark circles, wrinkles, lines, and/or puffiness? My under-eye area is my trouble-spot when it comes to skincare. Actually, my under-eye issues are probably my biggest skincare complaint! I have very dark under eye circles (due to allergies, general lack of sleep, and heredity). When I use as a mix-in, I use 2 drops of serum and one drop of makeup and I mix it on my clean hands. I then smooth it on from my inner to outer under-eye area. While doing this, I try to keep my face still (no frowning or smiling until the product dries).

My Results:
As soon as I smooth on the Sudden Change Under-Eye Firming Serum, I can feel the tightening effect. This product really does work instantly to tighten and firm the under-eye area. I feel like my skin looks and feels more taught in the area. Any minor puffiness is eliminated and I feel that my fine lines look less apparent and more smoothed out. It is hard to evaluate the effect on my dark under-eye circles since I do apply this with my makeup (which covers the darkness). I really do like the ease of using this product! Takes just three minutes, but lasts for hours.

Here is my before/after with Sudden Change Under-Eye Firming Serum. The results are more visible in real life (the pictures couldn't completely capture the increase in firmness). There is a difference that I can feel with the smoother/tighter under eye area. My fine lines are not that noticeable to begin with. So, it might be hard to see the difference here. I still have darkness that is apparent. However, my dark circles are darker than most peoples. So, I feel that improvement in this area would be very difficult to achieve.

Recently I have had the opportunity to explore the Lancome line further. While Lancome is a brand that I have used and trusted for years, it had been awhile since I had played around with items from the brand. So, I am super excited to re-introduce myself to the line by testing out not only a brand-new product, but also some of the brand's bestsellers!

Exploring Lancome: For this review, I got to test out the brand new DreamTone Dark Spot Correcting Serum. In addition, I tried out some of Lancome's classic bestsellers like the classic Bi Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover, the Gloss in Love in Flash in Fushia, and Definicils Mascara.
