Smooth Perfected Skin with Osmosis Stem Factor Serum and Clear Plus+ Hydrating Mist

Every once in awhile I stumble across a product or products that really just blow me away. Let me tell ya'll, I am so impressed with Osmosis and their Stem Factor Serum! 

Have you heard of Osmosis Skincare? It is a "medical grade" skincare line that is sold in spas and dermatologist's offices and online on sites that specialize in medical grade skincare. Osmosis has a different approach to treating your skin. Rather than attacking aging and breakouts with powerful ingredients that irritate (like most lines do), it targets your skin with healing ingredients that support the health of your skin. 

Honestly, when I started testing out the Stem Factor serum by Osmosis, I did expect it to be good. However, I didn't expect the results to be that noticable...but they were! I have been using the Stem Factor Serum plus the Clear Plus+ Activating Mist for about 2 months and absolutely love the results! My skin has a smooth, clear, even toned, and almost poreless look. It is hydrated and firm and just looks so healthy. It is almost hard to describe. However, it is noticable! I have continued to use my Rx Retin-A during my product testing a few nights a week (as I get fantastic results from that as well). What I think is happening is that they Osmois Stem Factor is healing any dryness, redness, and irritation that is secondary to Retin-A use. My skin has a healthy and plumped look. I feel that my fine lines are smoothed and the tone of my skin is so even and clear. Honestly, I have not had a breakout in forever since using this. Also, my pores are diminished.

My only minor critique is that the packaging is not very luxe for the price. However, since my product testing started, Osmosis has updated their packaging! So, the new packaging is apparently much nicer. I know that packaging is just packaging...however, it I am paying that much for a product, I do expect the packaging to be nice. 

Osmosis Stem Factor:

According to Osmosis, they use advanced technology utilizing exosomes that encapsulate the growth factors and proteins increasing penetration, stability and activating more receptors to enhance results. Over 150 different skin growth factors derived from adult stem cells create this magical serum that improves all aspects of skin aging and skin damage. It gently restores the repair process and stimulates new cells to build collagen and elastin, heal hyperpigmentation and reverse aging.

With the packaging and product makeover, Osmosis Stem Factor will now be called Osmosis +Skincare Growth Factor Serum. From Osmosis: The 'fountain of youth' in a bottle. This one-of-a-kind serum is powered by over 150 different growth factors with advanced technology to rejuvenate, heal, and protect for visibly younger-looking skin after just one use.

Osmosis Clear Plus+ Activating Hydration Mist:

This mist is to be used immediately after Osmosis Serums to enhance penetration of the product and to boost hydration. I just spray into my hands and then pat it onto my face. I do find it to be very soothing to use. According to Osmosis, this product refreshes your complexion to maintain a balanced level of hydration. The spray quickly penetrates the outer dermis of your skin to firm, soothe and moisturize your texture. Hyaluronic acid is the key ingredient in this product.

Clear Plus is being replaced by a product called Osmosis +MD Boost Peptide Activating Mist. Since it is in the MD line, it will only be available by purchasing it through a licensed spa professional/salon.

How I Use Stem Factor and Clear Plus+:

I use these products together to maximize my results. After gently cleansing and washing my face, I apply one pump of Stem Factor in the evening. Immediately after, I spray the Clear Plus+ onto my hands and then pat it on my face. As soon as the products dry down, I top off with a moisturizer. I use these products on "nights off" of using my Retin-a treatment.

Honestly, I love these products so much that I am sad that I am almost out of the Stem Factor serum! The product does go quickly and it is very expensive. Stem Factor retails for $130 and Clear Plus+ retails for $30 (I still have a ton of Clear Plus+ left). I am excited about the packaging and brand redesign and relaunch. I am hoping to get to try out the newly launched products and upgraded packaging. I will certainly update this post and give social media updates once I have tried the new products and packaging! :) I think it will certainly be a change for the better. The products themselves are fantastic. So, better packaging would just be the icing on the cake! :)

Hey readers! I am so excited to bring you Part 2 of 3-part blog series with the Conture Skin Enhancement System. Now, with this Part 2 Post, I will update you with how this system is working for me as well as go over more details about this device.

My Skin:

Before jumping into information about the Conture, let me tell you a little bit more about my skin. I am in my early 40s. So, I am starting to see some mild signs of aging in the form of fine lines. I am honestly pretty lucky here as the fine lines are really mostly apparent when my skin is a bit dehydrated. As far as skin type, I have combination skin with a slight tendancy for clogged pores in my t-zone area and the occasional breakout. Plus, my skin is also somewhat sensitive. This is what has held be back from a lot of professional-type devices in the past. I want to fight aging, but need to do so in a gentle way! 

I really love that the Conture Device is a high-quality skincare device that you can use right in your home...painlessly. As someone with sensitive skin, I shy away from many skincare devices for fear of aggrivating sensitive skin. The good news is that I have had no sensitivity reactions with the Conture!  The Conture Skin Enhancement System is a non-invasive and painless way to improve the look of your skin and fight the impact of aging.

Lets review how the Conture Skin Enhancement System works. The Conture combines isometric compression with low frequency vibrations to stimulate and tone the skin. The device has a sucking/vibrating feel as you move it accross the skin. The feeling of the device takes a bit to get used to. However, it is certainly not painful nor is it irritating. Think of it this way...the sucking/vibrating action is "exercise" for your skin. According to Conture, this device is similar to ones used by professionals and in MedSpas. The Conture can help to enhance the skin's appearance and increase absorption of anti-aging products through the vibrating and compression of the device on your skin. 

Lets get more specific about the action of the device. The Conture device essentially forms a vacuum that lifts and releases the skin. This action is the isometric compression. The other way the device works is with the radiating effects of the low frequency vibrations. Clinical studies (from Conture) have shown that these vibrations stimulate the skin and can enhance absorption of topicals by up to 300%. 

Conture recommends utilizing the device in specific target treatment areas. At 40+ years old, I am starting to show some signs of aging in the form of fine lines. So, I have been targeting the following areas: Forehead, Crow's Feet, and Smile Lines. These seem to be the primary areas that I am showing aging. Honestly, I am lucky, as a woman in my early 40s, I really have few and very mild signs of aging. So, I am not expecting "big results" as far as anti-aging. However, I do love the idea that this device might help in the absorption of my usual skincare and anti-aging products.

As I mentioned, I have been treating the following areas of my face: Forehead, Crow's Feet, and Smile Lines. I follow the below graphic from Conture in reguards to placement and movement direction fo the device. I use the device as recommended and follow the movement patterns on the below graphic.

To Use:

Lets review exactly how to use the device. The device really is easy to use once you get the hang of it! It takes a little practice at first. However, honestly, now that I have been using the device for a few weeks, it really is simple and quick! Before you get started using your Conture device, I highly recommend watching the "How to" video on the Conture site. It really walks you right through using the device.

At first, you do have to get used to that "sucking" sensation of the device on your skin. However, it certainly does not hurt and it does not seem to irritate my sensitive skin. Initially, the process seemed a bit time-consuming. However, as I got acclimated to the device, it has become totally automatic for me to use it in the evenings (I am only using once a day in the evenings).

To review, here is the skinny on how to use the device:

• Start with cleansed skin that has been patted dry.
• Gently apply the Conture Kinetic Treatment Serum to your face lightly (don't rub in) in your desired treatment area. 
• Simply touch the touch screen on the device to turn it on
• Work a few minutes on each treatment area zone (e.g., 2-3 minutes for your forehead). 
• To use device, allow it to make a good connection with your skin and let it lift and release 3x and simply slide it over when it releases (overlapping slightly). Continue like this until you are done with your segment. 
• You can complete your routine by applying either the Conture Kinetic AM Ignition Lotion or the Conture Kinetic PM Recovery Crème, and/or your own desired lotion or crème. 

So, lets talk a little more about my results! After using the Conture for a few weeks, I am seeing some noticable results! Granted, my results are very mild as I do not have a lot of signs of aging to begin with. Overall, my skin seems to feel more plump and smooth in the areas that I have been treating. My fine lines seem less apparent and I am please with that. Plus, I honestly have come to enjoy the gentle feeling of the device on the skin. It seems to invigorate my skin and is almost like a facial massage. Plus, I do love that the device is not painful and that it aids in product absorption for the skin. This means that the anti-aging products that I am already using in my skincare routine might be more effective for my skin because of my Conture device use! You really can't beat that!

I am still excited to see more results in the coming weeks! I really like that the Conture device can be integrated into your existing skincare routine. So, while you can use the products that come with the device, you can also use your own products in conjuction with using the Conture device with the Kinetic Treatment Serum.

My hormones and skin have been all over the map lately. When my hormones are wacky, I break out. I always thought that my issues with breakouts would be long behind me at my age. However, yes, women like myself in their 40s do still get breakouts.

My Skin:

I have a thing for peel pads. Seriously! They work wonders for my somewhat acne-prone, early 40s, combination skin. Using a good peel pad, like Avon's ANEW Clinical Extra Strength Retexturizing Peel will give my skin an awesome glow, help clear up any blemishes and prevent new ones, and will make my skin super smooth and soft, while also diminishing fine lines. Now, who doesn't like that?!?!

There is no question, this is a strong peel! However, even with my sensitive skin, I am able to use it. I think the trick is to find a balance with your skin and use it as often as you can without overusing it and irritating your skin. For me, I can use this peel about once a week (for comparison, with other peels that are not as strong, I can use them 2-3x a week).

Key Ingredients:
This peel contains a complex of five acids including AHAs and salicylic acid. 

How I use:
So, I use this peel once a week in the evenings after washing my skin. I simply swipe a peel pad over my face and neck. For a few minutes, I feel the tingling action of the peel working. While I can certainly feel it, it is not uncomfortable. I then follow up with a rich night cream and no other treatment products. Note: You must wear a good SPF during the day when treating your skin with a peel! So, be sure to not forget that!!! ;) I always wake up the next morning with super smooth and refreshed skin after using a peel pad the night before. Consistent use keeps my skin clear and makes fine lines less apparent. Over time it fades discolorations and spots. I absolutely adore this peel and will continue to use it!

It is time for another update in my "My Skin Loves" blog series. "My Skin Loves" is where I share my very favorite skincare products: my "Holy Grails" of skincare! :) This time, I am sharing an old favorite that has made its way back into my skincare routine!

As you all may know,  I have a bit of a love-affair with Kate Somerville's line of skincare products! With awards season, you often hear celebrities mentioning Kate Somerville. Using Kate Somerville skincare is one of Hollywood's best kept secrets about looking good for the red carpet! With the way that this particular product seems to "erase" wrinkles, I am not at all surprised by that fact! Seriously, this product literally smooths out my fine lines in minutes! There is absolutely nothing else that I have ever used that works quite like this product. 

 

Dermal Quench Liquid Lift Advanced Wrinkle treatment:

I was first introduced to this product over a year ago when I was watching a QVC special with Kate Somerville. I watched Kate demonstrate Dermal Quench and I was completely amazed.
