Clear Skin Staples: Introducing C & C by Clean & Clear
Have you seen these new C & C products from Clean & Clear? This ingredient-focused line is my husband's new choice for skincare! The black packaging and straightforward packaging really appealed to him. Plus, he tends to reach for items designed to keep his pores clear.

How do you pick out skincare? Do you tend to go for key ingredients? I know that I do that a lot of the time. This line has some standout products with each one focusing on a key ingredient.

C&C by Clean & Clear Total Zen Calming Lavender Mousse Cleanser - Specially formulated for sensitive skin, this oil-free foaming mousse face wash calms your senses with lavender, while it cleanses dirt and oil. I really enjoy lavender in the evening (I frequently diffuse it at night when I am sleeping). I did find this cleanser to be a little bit drying. However, I am using prescription Retin-A which makes my skin more prone to dryness and irritation.

C&C by Clean & Clear Muscle Bar Charcoal Cleansing Bar - Packed with impurity-busting charcoal and a delicious eucalyptus scent, this oil-free bar soap breaks up dirt and gently washes away impurities from your face and body.

C&C by Clean & Clear Black Out Blackhead Clearing Coffee Scrub - This oil-free, coffee-scented blackhead scrub gently exfoliates and cleanses deep into pores. Salicylic acid also helps combat active breakouts and fights to prevent future acne.

C&C by Clean & Clear Tough Love Acne Clearing Peppermint Toner - This oil-free, peppermint face toner fights acne and cleans pores for a deep clean. Salicylic acid and glycerin helps clear whiteheads and blackheads while working to prevent new ones. Here is another minty winner! While my husband is new to using toner, he is enjoying adding in this step. Plus, the combo of actives in this one really keeps pores clear.

I just couldn't resist talking about a few of my other favorites from Clean & Clear! Their Persa-gel 10 has been a staple anti-acne product in my skincare arsenal for years. I literally use Benzol Peroxide daily in the mornings around my t-zone area. It is fantastic prevention in that breakout prone area. Clean & Clear has a varieity of salisylic acid based cleansers. This Acne Clear one is great for using in the mornings to get some salisylic acid treatment into your skincare routine. I try to do a spa night at least once a week with a facial mask. I tend to gear my treatment based on what my skin needs at the moment. The Night Relaxing Jelly Mask is so soothing and hydrating! If I am opting for more pore-clearing action, then I can reach for the Cleansing Clay Mask. Both are fantastic!

Eco-Friendly Sustainable Winter Clothing from prAna:

The cold weather has offically arrived here in GA. This time of year I always go through a major clothing re-organization. I replace old/worn items, look for holes or gaps in my wardrobe for needed items, and I look for 1-2 more trendy items to update my overall look.

After sorting through my clothes, I have discovered that I have quite a few clothing needs.

My Clothing Needs:

My clothing needs are frequently changing. Since going back to work part-time this year as a Speech-Language Pathologist, I find that I am frequently on-the-go seeing patients at various locations. I need clothing that looks casual yet professional while also being durable enough for a lot of movement during my active therapy sessions. So, I am really looking for items to add to a causal work wardrobe. Plus, I am in need of a super warm coat with a hood for cold and wet days when I am lugging around big bags of materials and can't carry an umbrella. 

So, when prAna reached out asking if I would like to collaborate, I was super excited to pick out some items from their extensive website.

I know that my choices from prAna are ones that I feel very, very happy about. Not only are the clothes great quality and beautiful, but also they are sustainable!!!

So, lets get back to my clothing needs. My current focus is to build my wardrobe with quality pieces that I will love for years to come. I want items that wash well and feel good. I feel like prAna's quality is right up there with my standards! Plus, I just love that prAna is a sustainable brand that uses organic cotton and recycled fabrics. Miska Long Jacket in Black:
I picked out this gorgeous Miska Long Jacket because I was seriously in need of a very warm everyday coat. I really wanted something with these three features: waterproof, long/tunic lenght, with a hood. The Miska jacket fits all my criteria! I often find myself in the rain lugging around therapy materials, groceries, or kids! So, a hood is a must since I often have my hands full and can't carry an umbrella. Plus, I wear a lot of tunic tops with leggings. So, I like a coat that can completely cover my top.

This Miska Jacket is soft and warm. The fit is great! I would say, if anything, that it runs a bit big. The XS is kinda big on me. However, I do realize that I am very tiny. It has great pocket storage and a ton of other details.

This is a gorgeous and soft jacket with amazing quality that I will enjoy for years to come! Seriously, it is a beautiful jacket and I just love it!!! It honestly goes with everything and it keeps me totally warm and dry.

This jacket retails for $199 which I think is a great price considering the tremendous quality, beautiful design, and sustainability.

Kayla Jean in Volcanic Plum:
The other item I was sent was the Kayla Jean in the shade Volcanic Plum. This wasn't my first choice from the site as they were out of stock in some of the other pants that I liked. However, the Kayla Jean turned out to be a fantastic choice for me!

Colored jeans are great for my lifestyle right now as they have the durablity and wear of a jean. However, the shade makes it less "jeans" looking which works great for me for work or when I want to look like I am dressed up just a "tad" more than the regular jeans look.

Another surprise was the fit of the Kayla Jeans. I am tiny and very in size depending on brands. I seem to almost always fall somewhere in the 0-2 size. However, in the Kayla Jean, I wear a size 00. The fit is snug on me, but the size 00 does work. I think a 0 might be perfect for me, but the 00 does work. I got a regular length and do think that I could have ordered the short as I do have short legs. So, these do run about a size or two big. So, keep that in mind when you order. The prAna site does have a size converter tool which is helpful. So, I suggest knowing your measurements when ordering.  The fit is super slim and the rise on the waist is excellent. There is extra seaming at the waistband to prevent that "gap" that sometimes happens with jeans. The fabric is nicer than a regular denim and it does have a bit of stretch to it.

The shade volcanic plum is real life looks more like a soft plum-ish brown to me. It is actually a quite versatile color and I am having fun pairing it up with various tops in my wardrobe.

The Kayla Jeans retail for $89.00 which is right on target with what I usually pay for a good fitting pair of jeans. These are so flattering and the fit is so good that I seriously want more colors of this same style!!!

So, when I found out that they have a new Matte version of a product that I already love, I was super excited to try it out. Now you have 3 versions to pick from if you want a good CC Cream! 

The IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream Oil-Free Matte SPF 40 gives you buildable full-coverage natural to matte finish (I dont find it to be totally matte...more of a natural/matte finish)  that looks natural and flawless. Plus, the formula can help control oil and gives you a beautiful look! 

Now, my skin is not oily, however it is combination with some oily patches around my nose and chin area. So, I can't fully evaluate how this product wears on oily skin. However, I got nice long wear on my skin. 

I tried this in the shades Fair and Fair-Light. Fair was the best match for my super light skin tone. It is still ever-so-slightly too dark. However, I can make it work with a light dusting of powder to set my look. I feel that I got good coverage and the product lasted on my skin.

Charcoal beauty products have been all the rage recently. They are cropping up everywhere! From cleansers, bar soap, to toners, bath soaks, and more! I have encorporated quite a few charcoal products into my daily routine. I must admit that I am liking the charcoal trend. So, I’m super excited that Colgate just launched the NEW Colgate Essentials Toothpaste with Charcoal. This toothpaste is fantastic for removing stains and impurities for whiter teeth and fresher breath. This trending toothpaste also has micropolishers to keep your pearly whites glistening and your breath minty fresh.

Charcoal as a tooth-cleansing ingredient is actually not a new thing! You can trace charcoal's use as a tooth-cleansing ingredient as far back as the Romans. Recently, there has been a resurgance in using Charcoal for dental care because of the whitening, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, and breath-freshening abilities of charcoal. 

Colgate Essentials Daily Toothbrush + Toothpaste Kit with Charcoal:

I must admit, while I was excited to try this toothpaste and toothbrush, it was a bit shocking to put blackish-gray toothpaste on my black toothbrush! I am so used to white! 

However, I quickly got over my hesitation because of the color. This toothpaste feels gentle tastes refreshing and gets my teeth nicely clean. The toothpaste contains micropolishers to remove stains and a mint flavor to freshen breath. The toothbrush has charcoal infused tapered bristles which gives deep and gentle cleaning to your teeth and gums. Plus, this is a fluoride toothpaste (not all charcoal toothpastes contain fluoride). 

Overall, the new Charcoal Toothpaste and Toothbrush from Colgate is a big win for me! I am really enjoying using this set!

Before you set your alarm for the morning, grab your cream and apply to your dry hands, cuticles, elbows, ect. Hello lovelies! As you all know, I am a beauty blogger with a passion for products. However, blogging is not my only day job, lol. I wear many hats! I have actually used Vistaprint many times before and have always been pleased with the beautiful business cards that I created in the past. The timing was really perfect as I did not currently have a business card for my current workplace as a Speech-Language Pathologist. So, I opted to create SLP business cards rather than cards for my blog. Much of my SLP work is done face-to-face which lends itself more towards the handing out of business cards. Where much of my blogging work is done online. 

It was super quick and easy to create my business cards and address labels! Literally, it only took minutes. Vistaprint has so many amazing designs to choose from. You can either just browse, browse by category, or search what design you are looking for. I settled on a cute kid-friendly design for my work as a Speech-Language Pathologist. I was able to pick out all sorts of details as far as if I wanted the corners rounded or sharp, the finish of the cards (matte, etc), and the shape (square or rectangle). I was also able to opt to have a design and text on the back as well.

The online system for card creation was so easy to use! Plus, it gave great previews. So, you could see how it looked as you worked on it. 

It was fun creating the address labels, too! I rarely send out mail with either of my businesses. So, I opted to create a cute return address label for my daughter. These will be perfect for when she sends out thank you notes for her upcoming birthday party. :) Again, so many adorable designs to choose from! I settled on this cute fairy for her.
