Summer is in full swing! That means the weather is hot and shorts, swimwear, sandals, and sundresses are a weekly staple. Skin is exposed to the sun and the water. It is time to pamper your skin so that you can look your best in your summer wear.

Natural Bath and Body Products from Nubian Heritage

Are you into natural products? I personally love exploring natural product lines...especially when it comes to bath and body care products. Your skin is your body's largest organ. With so much surface area to absorb product, it makes sense treat your skin right, when you can, with natural products. No, I do not use 100% natural products across the board all the time. However, if I had two similar products side-by-side that worked similarly and one was natural and one was not, there is no question I would choose to use the natural product over one with chemicals and preservatives. I am all about adding natural when you can. Even just a little bit helps to decrease your overall chemical exposure. 

I am super excited about a natural products line that I have been exploring lately: Nubian Heritage. I am in the process of trying out both bath and body items from this line as well as facial skincare products (that review coming soon, too!). Lavanila Vanilla Coconut Fragrance and Body Butter: What a Lovely Scent!

Lavanila Vanilla Coconut:

Lets see...my favorite scents and food flavors? Vanilla and Coconut! These two things combined together into one fragrance? A dream come true! ;)

Seriously though, I am a huge lover of vanilla-based scents. Lavanila is one of my go-to lines when I am serching for a Vanilla fragrance. From Vanilla Summer (another fave), to Vanilla Lavender to their classic Vanilla and many more....they have a wide variety of Vanilla scents to choose from! Their Vanilla Coconut has to be my favorite of the entire line.

Typically I do think of Coconut as a Summer scent. I actually really look forward to my Spring to Summer fragrance rotation as I tend to whip out all of my coconut scented perfumes, creams, and fragrance mists. However, I am loving this scent for right now, in the middle of the Winter! I think the addition of Vanilla makes it Winter-appropriate. Plus, the Coconut can give you a mental vacation in the Winter. It can have you dreaming of tropical days and an Island escape! ;)

Yes, even the normally temperate Georgia had weather cold enough to cancel school and keep us cooped up inside with dry heat.

My Home Spa: The Body Shop's Wild Argan Oil Bath & Body Collection

I am a bath person. Especially this time of year! Nothing beats a soak in the tub for a little bit of relaxation before bed. While I will fully admit that many times I am too tired in the evening for a bath. When I do motivate to take one, I am never sorry! Using decadent bath and body products is my little treat to myself. This is how I indulge and self-pamper. So, I just love exploring new bath and body products...such great bath motivation! ;) 

The Body Shop is one of my long-time favorite stores. It has long been a go-to for me for not only bath products but also skincare, makeup, and fragrance! So, I am super excited to try out their new Wild Argan Oil product range! 

Fair Trade Argan Oil:
Argan Oil has been used for centuries in Morocco. It is their beauty secret for conditioned hair and fabulous skin.

The Harvest: 
Even the process of extracting the Argan oil is an age-old tradition. First, the fruits are sun-dried and then the nuts are hand-cracked open. Then the kernals are pressed and are slowly filtered over 48 hours to extract the purest oil possible for the Body Shop's products. The result? A truly high-quality Argan oil goes into the products!

The Body Shop uses Fair-Trade organic Argan oil hand- harvested by Berber tribe women in Southeast Morocco (the remote Atlas Mountains). This trade supports rural agricultural communities in Morocco rather than using large city factories. This partnership is through the Tangarine Cooperative which strives to raise the standard of living for the Berber women in Morocco. Pretty cool, right?

This line has such a beautiful and unique scent! The Body Shop's Wild Argan scent is hard to describe: it is a soft and comforting scent. To me, the Wild Argan scent is rich and feminine with hints of almond and musk and a slight hint of powder. It is a scent that I really enjoy wearing. So much so that I wish that it came in a body mist or eau de toilette! I would totally wear this as my everyday fragrance!

Hello Lovelies! It is time for another installment of my "My Skin Loves" blog series!
