As ya'll may know, I am always on the lookout for products to repair and revive my long, dry, highlighted, and somewhat damaged hair. I do what I can to keep my hair in top condition. I go 2-3 days in-between hair washing, I use gentle shampoos, I deep condition, I do protein treatments, and I try to limit heat styling (as much as I can). Even with all of those steps, sometimes I just need "more". So, when I heard about Pantene's new Overnight Miracle Repair Serum, I was more than intrigued! A hair product designed to work overnight? Yes, please!
Actually, back when I had platinum blond hair (oh those college days!), I frequently would apply a rich conditioner to my hair before bed and let it penetrate all night. Has anyone else done this? While this seemed to work pretty well, it was messy. So, I had to sleep in a shower cap. So, I wonder, will this new Pantene product work in a similar way?

This new repair serum from Pantene is designed to revive your hair overnight. The formula is amazingly non-greasy and non-sticky. One of the main ingredients in this product is silicone. I know that some people avoid silicones. However, my hair really does seem to respond well to silicones. This product works to improve the look and feel of your hair. There is no question, the day after an overnight treatment with this, my hair looks smoother and is more manageable. Plus, my hair seems to retain the amazing Pantene scent the entire next day. The smell is just amazing!!!
How I Use:
Right before going to bed, I apply about 3 pumps worth of product into my hair (the directions say 1-2 pumps but I use more as my hair is very long). I work it into the ends first and then distribute higher up stopping at the ear level. Then I braid my hair. The next morning I shampoo, condition, and style as usual.
I am really impressed with how the product seems to absorb into your hair and not leave a greasy feel! It almost instantly absorbs and dries. You can really sleep with this product in your hair and not make a mess on your pillow! While I braid my hair after I apply the product, that step really isn't even necessary (I just like sleeping with my hair out of the way).
My Results:
After using this product overnight, my "next day" hair always looks amazing! This product really works to smooth my hair and reduce frizz. My hair seems more conditioned and moisturized. Also, it seems to style well after this overnight treatment. My hair has body and bounce and does not seem to be weighed down. I am not sure if this product actually "repairs" my hair. It seems to be more of a smoothing and moisturizing treatment (I rely on protein treatments to "repair").
