What are "Makeup Wars"??? Makeup Blog Blasts!
The Makeup Wars bloggers all post about the same topic,
product, or challenge every other week. Our posts go live on our blogs at
exactly the same time. We all link each other through the graphic on the top
of this post (the "Last" and "Next" arrow links). So please remember to scroll through all of our blogs to see each blogger's post! Also, there
is a graphic on the bottom of this post that displays all of our blogs
if you want to click through that way.
Behind the scenes with "Makeup Wars":
The Makeup Wars bloggers are a group of true beauty product enthusiasts and makeup lovers. Let me tell you, these ladies (me included!) love to dish about makeup! To say that we are excited about these Wars is a total understatement. Each War topic is heavily discussed and planned for weeks with input from the entire group and guidance (and graphics!) from our fearless leader Christine at 15 Minute Beauty Fanatic. This type of blog posting is so much *FUN*! I always find out about really great products through reading everyone's Makeup Wars posts! I encourage ya'll to scroll through the blog links at the bottom of this post. You might just find a new favorite product!!!
Did you miss our last
challenges? Here they are: Battle of the Taupes, The $20.00 Face Challenge, Battle of the Favorite Summer Lippie, the Most Expensive Face Challenge, and the Best Brush.
This week we are battling it out over the Best Fall Nail Color. Do you want to see what I am obsessed with at the moment for Fall? Keep reading!
Right now I am loving this combo for Fall. I say "right now" because it is so hard for me to full-on dive into my deep Fall hues when it is still so hot outside in GA! This nail look gets me in a Fall state of mind with the rich shades without jumping into my jewel tones, browns, blacks, and reds that I will be wearing later in the Fall season and into Winter. My Summer manicures have been so colorful. Going for a look like this transitions me from Summer Brights to deeper Fall color with fabulous sparkle!
essie "Stroke of Brillance":
This essie polish was actually a Klout perk! I have a feeling this will be one of my most heavily worn glitters in the next few months. It is a beautiful periwinkle purple/blue. One of my favorite colors! The glitter in this polish is buildable: light at one coat, medium at 2, and somewhat heavy at 3 coats. I have on 2 coats in the look pictured here. If you love glitter polish, you should totally check out this topcoat glitter polish line from essie!
Sinful Colors Lavender:
Unlike the name suggests, this is not a true lavender. This is a periwinkle cream polish. You just can't beat the price of Sinful Colors! The polish really has such great quality for the price. Plus, what an amazing selection of colors! It is rare that I duck into Walgreen's without picking up something from this line while I am there! :)

Love the combo! The Essie is so gorgeous. It's in my untrieds and every time I see someone post it I kick myself for letting it sit there lol
Love these blues! SO pretty together!
I have that same top coat and love it. It looks so nice over blues and grays!
The blue looks great on you!
Stroke of Brilliance is so awesome.

Thanks ladies!!! I am so obsessed with blues lately!
So pretty!I wish I could wear blues better.
I have Stroke of Brilliance too. I think I have most of the Essie glitter ones. She knows how to do glitter polish, for sure.
I have that Klout perk too! I have not used it but I want to now!
