Guinot’s Clean Logic Range is a cleansing skincare collection formulated with anti-aging properties suited for fragile skin. Skin loses its lipid content as it ages, causing wrinkles and reduced elasticity. Guinot has created a specialized skincare routine designed to restore and provide specific lipids and renew the skin’s moisture barrier. The first step is the Cleansing Care Cream, which gently and thoroughly cleanses and removes makeup with a creamy texture that moisturizes the skin. The Revitalizing Care Lotion then reinvigorates the skin with a gentle exfoliating effect, preparing the skin for any products to follow in a skincare regimen. Together, Clean Logic removes all traces of make-up leaving the skin feeling soft, comfortable, and toned.

To use: You can use this routine in the morning or evening or both! These products are best used together. Start by using your fingertips or a cotton pad to apply the Clean Logic Cream to the entire face with light circular movements. Then, you finish with the Clean Logic Lotion. Just apply it to the entire face with the fingertips or a cotton pad. Follow up with any treatment products or SPF that you might use.

L'Occitane Supports Women with their Limited Edition Orange Blossom Solidarity Balm

The offical International Women’s Day may have passed, but any day can be a day to show solidarity for our fellow women! L’OCCITANE created the special edition Orange Blossom Solidarity Balm ($6) in honor of the brand’s on-going partnership with the women of Burkina Faso. 100% of the profits are donated to support women’s leadership. 

I am so excited that I got to preview this item for you guys. It is so pretty and I just love that 100% of the proceeds go to support women in BurkinaFaso!

Introducing the Orange Blossom Solidarity Balm: a new limited edition item from L’OCCITANE that celebrates the women of Burkina Faso with its bright and colourful motifs. Evocative of African wax fabrics, it’s adorned with red, green and white “wedding flowers” – known for symbolizing the happiness of marriage. The pearly pink in the background recalls the pinkish white of orange blossom, while the dark blue oval shapes evoke the nuts used to make Shea butter – the ultra- nourishing ingredient at the heart of this product

L’OCCITANE's Orange Blossom Solidarity Balm can be used as an all-in-one nourishing product from moisturizing skin to taming flyways and soothing cuticles. The Solidarity Balm helps to nourish and protect the skin all day long, while its delicate, seductive fragrance delights the senses. A burst of citrus notes, with mandarin orange and lemon, tantalizes the nose, then gives way to an enveloping heart of jasmine, neroli and orange blossom. Finally, this floral lightness deepens into base notes of vanilla that leave a lingering scent on the skin. This multi-use balm can be used on the legs, body, hair or lips and is easily portable, so you can keep it in your handbag or on your bedside table – or even both!

L’OCCITANE is working to develop the Shea butter business in Burkina Faso while also protecting this heritage. And it’s come a long way since the 1980s... At first, there were only a dozen or so women involved, and they produced the Shea butter by hand. Now there are over 10,000 women making Shea butter for L’OCCITANE, using mechanized equipment.

When the L’OCCITANE Foundation was created in 2006, it chose to extend this partnership with the women of Burkina Faso and focus its actions on supporting women’s leadership in order to promote their emancipation.

Through its actions, the Foundation focuses on four key areas – literacy, microcredits, entrepreneurship and education for girls – and in doing so, it contributes to women’s socio-economic development. To date, over 30,000 women have been able to benefit from the support of the Foundation.

Introducing Hydro Boost Body and NEW from Neutrogena Hydro Boost facial care!

Some of my very favorite and even holy grail skincare products are from Neutrogena...and specifically from the Hydro Boost line! Neutrogena's Hydro Boost facial care line is insanely popular. So, it is no surprise that they have expanded their facial skincare line and added a NEW Hydro Boost body range!

Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry Skin Formula 

As I mentioned, Hydro Boost is at the top of my list when it comes to skincare favorites. Their Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry Skin Formula is my #1 favorite product for hydration! I use this absolutely every single time that I wash my face. I layer this on after washing onto damp skin. I allow this to absorb and then I follow up with my morning or evening skincare routine! Highly recommend!!! I have tried a lot of hyaluronic acid based gels and this one is certainly my fave. I love that it is fragrance free (the Extra Dry formula of this product). So, it is totally non-irritating. I literally wish all skincare was fragrance-free. While I am not 100% fragrance-free with my products, I should be. Fragrance is an irritant for me. So, my skin literally looks better when I use products without fragrance. 

So, lets get to the new product releases! I am so excited about the expansion of the Hydro Boost line. 

Hydro Boost Body:

So many of us take such great care to moisturize our faces. However, do we give the same attention to our body? Yes, our body needs moisture, too! These Hydro Boost body products give your body that quench of hydration that it needs. These products help maintain your moisture balance for maximum skin hydration. 

Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream Sensitive and Dry Skin Formula:

I love the super lightweight feel of this moisturizer. I really feel like my skin just drinks this in! Plus, it has a  fragrance-free version (yay!!!). So, it is totally non-irritating. If you have sensitive dry skin, this is a must. It has made such a difference in the moisture and comfort of my skin! I like to apply this right after my morning shower on to damp lightly towel-dried skin (just lightly dabbed with a towel so I am not dripping). This really locks in the moisture. It is super light weight, fast absorbing, and totally non-greasy. I like to focus this on my legs and torso (and I use an SPF on my upper body and the Whipped Body Balm on my feet). Love this and highly recommend! 

Hydro Boost Body Whipped Body Balm for Dry to Extra Dry Skin:

This is a richer gel than the Gel Cream. So, I like to use this after a shower or bath to my feet and elbows and any extra dry areas. It has such a unique texture...almost like a facial primer/serum. My skin drinks this in and it leaves a smooth/silky barrier. I just love it. I don't have a fragrance-free version of this (not sure that they make one of this). However, I must admit that the fragrance it has is very clean and lovely. So, I do enjoy the scent. 🙂

Hydro Boost Facial Skincare: Line Expansions

Great news! The already awesome Hydro Boost facial skincare line now has even more options!!! Here are some of the ones that I tried...

Hydro Boost City Shield Facial Gel Mist:
I must admit that I am on the fence about this product. I was kinda hoping for just a lighter/spray version of my beloved Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry Skin Formula. However, I think this product is going to be a pass for me because I like the Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra Dry Skin Formula much better. You can spray it directly on your face or spray into your hands and then pat onto the face. This can be a step after cleansing and before applying your regular moisturizer or sunscreen. You can also use this as a referesher during the day. However, I find the high alcohol content to be a bit drying for my sensitive skin. Plus, it does have fragrance which can also contribute to irritation like all fragranced products do. With all that said, if you have normal or oily skin, this might be a really great light weight moisturizer for you. 

Hydro Boost City Shield Water Gel Sunscreen:
I have heard so many people complain over the years that they don't wear sunscreen because they don't like the heavy feel, white cast, or potential breakouts of wearing it. If you are avoiding everyday use of sunscreens because of any of those reasons, then this just might be the facial SPF for you! This product absolutely does not feel or look like a sunscreen. It has the same Hydro Boost Water Gel feel that I have come to love...with the added bonus of SPF. So, it sinks in beautifully and hydrates and plumps the skin. It contains powerhouse ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid (like all of the Hydro Boost products) and antioxidants. I am really liking this! My wish: for Neutrogena to make a fragrance-free version of this as it is heavily scented.
