I know that Summer is often the time when people go "heat free" and natural. Sure, I like to do that too. However, most days, I just need my hot tools to leave my hair looking smooth and frizz free. To reduce heat and styling damage (and save myself time), I just tend to go longer between washing/styling my hair: at least 3 days in-between washings. This certainly reduces your heat exposure. Plus, with good hot tools, my style tends to last and after a few days, it goes up in a ponytail or bun.

So, what am I using heat-wise these days? Brazilian Heat's 1 1/2 inch Tourmaline Ceramic Brazilian Curl Iron and Brazilian Heat's 1875 Watt Salon Dryer. I am super happy with this iron/dry combo from GlamAlley.com!

As I mentioned, my hair is really loving this Dryer and Iron combo from Brazilian Heat! Let's start off with talking about the Dryer.

This dryer has replaced my previous dryer and is now the dryer that I use every single time I wash and dry my hair. I find it to be the perfect balance between blow power, weight, and heat. It works great and it doesn't get too heavy to hold, lol. With my long hair, it can take awhile to dry. So, I always appreciate a dryer that is somewhat easy to hold.

Plus, this dryer has something different...something I have never seen on a dryer before: Far-Infared Heat (helps to eliminate frizz and static). I love this feature! In addition to reducing frizz and static, I believe it also speeds the drying process. What is it exactly? When you turn the iron on, the infared heat glows through the nozzle. Not only does this help with dry time and frizz, but also I love that it illuminates the area that you are working on when drying. I know that the rule of thumb with drying is to constantly keep the dryer moving so that you don't get hot spots/burn your hair. Watching the light move across my head prompts me to move that dryer (yes, I am guilty of zoning out while drying my hair and accidently letting the dryer sit too long on a section when I use other dryers). Plus, I like to "see" the areas that I am focusing on when round brushing my bangs and other key areas. So, I am really loving this whole infared feature!!! Have you guys ever seen this before on a dryer? I think it really sets the Brazilian Heat Salon Dryer apart!

In addition to the Far-infared heat feature that I love, here are some other product details:
  • 1875 Watts with lightweight powerful long-life AC motor
  • Far infrared heat with 2 speeds and 6 heat settings (okay, I thought it deserved another bullet point mention, lol)
  • Cool shot button
  • Snap on air concentrator and pick attachment
  • 8 foot Swivel cord with hanging ring and ESP Electric Shock Protector safety device
This Brazilian Heat dryer really is very effective at drying my hair. As I mentioned, I really like using it. Plus, I like knowing that using an ionic dryer, like this one, drys hair faster. Ionic dryers work by emitting thousands of negative ions into the air. This drys hair faster and results in less damage and smooth results.

The Brazilian Heat 1875 Watt Ion Salon Dryer retails for $89.95 at GlamAlley.com.

Brazilian Heat 1 1/2 inch Tourmaline Ceramic Brazilian Curl Iron:
Like the Brazilian Heat Salon Dryer, this Tourmaline Ceramic Iron from Brazilian Heat uses Far-Infared heat to style your hair. Plus, this iron heats up super fast (heats up in 30 seconds)! Which is great since I am always in a rush when I'm doing my hair. This iron smooths out my hair beautifully giving it beautiful shiny waves. I like to use this to either place all-over loose waves or to just turn the ends under. I don't use a curling iron every day. However, when I do, this iron is a great option for me! I especially like the large 1 1/2 inch barrel. The included thermal pouch is great for travel.

Key Features:
  • 3/4 inch Tourmaline infused ceramic barrels
  • Ready in 30 seconds with 6 heat settings up to 450F
  • Digital temp lock prevents accidental heat changes while in use
  • Thermal pouch included
  • 2 Year Warranty

So, as much as I love the idea of air-drying my hair, to get the results that I love, I still use hot tools. I just wash less frequently to save my hair some damage and save myself some time. Plus, I *always* use heat protectant! I am loving these tools from Brazilian Heat. What are you guys using for your everyday styling? I would love to hear! :)
