Have you ever heard of a Reverse Wand Curling Iron? I am so excited about this Reverse Wand from NuMe! It is my new favorite tool for creating gorgeous waves and curls!

NuMe's Reverse Wand is so unique! It is larger at the tip and the barrel tapers narrower towards the handle. This reverse cone shape gives you curls that are larger at the roots and narrower towards the ends of your hair. So darn cool!!! I absolutely love the effect!

  • 100% tourmaline-infused ceramic wand
  • • Innovative clip-less design for crease-free curls
  • • Heats up to 210°C (410°F)
  • • Infrared heat technology
  • • Negative ion technology

To read about my tips on how to use the NuMe Reverse Curl wand (and see my photo tutorial), hear about NuMe's Pure Remedy Hair Repair Mask, and to enter the GIVEAWAY, please click "read more" below!

How I Use my NuMe Reverse Curl Wand:
This Reverse Curl Wand from NuMe is super easy to use! It heats up fast and creates long-lasting curls. Here are my basic steps for creating gorgeous waves and curls with this curling wand:
  • First, I comb out my dry and clean hair. Then I lightly mist it with a heat protectant like Redken's Iron Shape Finishing Thermal Spray (this spray works to lock in curls while protecting my hair and creating gorgeous shine. Plus, I adore the fresh grapefruit scent!!!)
  • Then I section off my hair. I take most of it and clip it up. I work from the bottom and I release more hair as I curl and work upwards through my hair.
  • The trick to using a clipless wand for curling is how you hold the wand. You want to work on the opposite side of your head than the hand you are holding the wand with. So, you actually hold your arm curved over your head with the wand pointing downward (So, the smaller end of the wand is at the root and the larger end will be at the tips of your hair).
  • I grab small sections of hair to curl at a time. Before curling each section, I lightly mist the hair with more of the Redken Iron Shape Spray
  • Next, I wrap the small section of hair around the wand twisting it away from your face. Note: You might want to wear the heat-protectant glove on your hand that does the hair wrapping. I often skip the glove...but, I have had lots of practice with curling my hair with a curling wand.
  • Work on curling your hair just like this in small sections and unclip more hair and keep moving upwards until you have curled all of the hair on your head.
  • Last, I finish my hair and set it with a light mist of Joico's Power Spray Fast-Dry Finishing Spray. The mist is ultra fine and light. It gives firm, yet flexible, hold and incredible shine. The fragrance of this spray is amazing (like all Joico products!). Not only is this a finishing spray, but also it can double as a heat protectant as well if you spray it before heat styling.
My Finished Look:
So, that is it! The whole process takes about 15-20 minutes tops. I just love the curls! Plus, they last for 2 days (with the 2nd day curls looking more like loose waves).
NuMe's Pure Remedy Repair Mask:
In addition to the Reverse Curl Wand, NuMe sent me their Pure Remedy Hair Repair Mask to try out as well. OMG! I adore it!!!

Let me start off by telling ya'll that my hair is extremely dry, damaged, and frizzy from being very long and highlighted. I tend to rely on very thick and rich shampoos and conditioners to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny. This Pure Remedy Hair Mask by NuMe is a fabulous new addition to my hair care arsenal!

This mask is one of thickest and most rich hair masks that I have ever tried. It has a texture that reminds me of a thick and rich body butter. I apply this product in the shower. After washing my hair, I take a generous amount of this mask and work it through my hair. Then I comb my hair with a wide-toothed shower comb to completely distribute the mask. I leave the mask on for the rest of my shower (as I wash, shave, etc) for about 10 minutes. My hair is super smooth, soft, and manageable after I use this mask! I love the results and will continue to keep using this product on a weekly basis.

Hmm my favorite summer hairstyle is beachy waves. Since I live in Florida it's quite attainable!

My favorite hair style for summer is the beachy waves. I've been loving the salt sprays that are out right now.

My favorite hair style for summer is either down and air dried or in a ponytail. I'd love to try one of the Nume curling wands for a curly, beach wave style.

In the summertime I'm all about keeping hair off my face, so I rock a ponytail or a headband. I'd love to add some curl to the mix!

What is your favorite hair style for Summer?

I have a LOT of hair so I straighten it often because it is quick & easy, but I love my curls too so I like a pony with a pushed poof in the front & medium curls hanging from the holder. My hair goes to my waist so having it on my neck all day while I work in an auto garage is not possible a lot of times.

Hair absolutely has to be off the neck and out of my face. I have no patience for it in my face. My daughter has long gorgeous blonde hair that is stick straight. She is ready for it to be up as well and some curls in it would be lovely!

My favorite way of wearing my hair in summer would be a simple but pretty braid, beach style waves, or just loose and relaxed.

Braids. I'm just horrible at them.

My favorite hairstyle for the summer is a short haircut, not quite a pixie but not a bob either. The one I usually rock at summer is called an Inverted-V or an Inverted Bob.

My favorite summer style is air-dried waves. However, I think big, bouncy curls would be a great summer style to try.

I tend to keep my hair completely up kind of in a bun. It's so hot out and I am half Cherokee Indian so the sun is attracted to me.
