Is anyone else traveling for Thanksgiving this year? We are taking a big trip this year! It is my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and the whole family is going on a Disney cruise to celebrate. So, I will be packing soon. So exciting!!!
I am the world's worst packer (hanging head in mock shame). I tend to pack too much and then never use everything. I am determined to break my bad packing cycle with this trip. I am traveling with two preschoolers. So, I honestly can't be bothered with too much excess "stuff". I want to try to realistically pack for a 5 day trip.
One area where I can really trim down the excess is with my toilitries. Yes, I am a beauty blogger. So, I do have a lot of enthusiasm for products and a lot of items at my fingertips. However, I am going to really try to only bring what I need: a small bag of neutral makeup with only 1 item in each category (i.e., one blush, one neutral palette, one eyeliner, etc), basic toilitries (shave gel, deoderant, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc), and minimal hair products (in small containers or travel-sized minis).
Hair Products:
My hair products and tools are my biggest items that would take up the bulk of my packing: hair dryer, huge bottles of shampoo and conditioner, big cans of hairspray, etc...So, the best way to trim this down is to either use travel minis or decant big bottles into travel containers. I am going to pack using a combination of both.
