I am so excited about my opportunity to talk about my Most Repurchased Skinare Products for this Beauty Spotlight Team special feature! Every two weeks, a Beauty Spotlight Team member is writing a post that features their most repurchased products. As I started thinking and pre-planning for my post, I realized that my most repurchased product were, hands-down, skincare items. 

Why Repurchase Skincare Products?

Hmm...so, why is it that I seem to repurchase skincare items more than other product categories? Well, first of all, I think that I am extremely loyal to skincare items that I love. If something works for my sensitive and somewhat tempermental skin then it is obviously a keeper and something I do not want to be without! So, I believe I am very consistant and loyal with my skincare products. I mean, sure, I love to try new things. After all, I am a beauty blogger with a skincare focus! However, I always come back to my beloved favorites and repurchase them over and over again. I even often have back ups waiting in the wings for when my items run out. 

My Skin:

Before diving into my Most Repurchased Skincare items, let me give you the low-down on my skin. I am in my early 40s and I have combination skin. So, anti-aging products are certainly must haves! I am lucky in that I only have very minor signs of aging: just some fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead that are honestly only apparent when my skin is a bit dehydrated. However, I am seriously interested in age prevention! Also, my skin is somewhat sensitive. So, I am looking for effective products that do not cause any sensitivity reactions. In addition, I am somewhat prone to breakouts in my t-zone area.

It is time for an update in my "My Skin Loves" blog series! Now, you all may know that finding great skincare is one of the driving forces behind my blog. I am on an absolute quest to find the best skincare out there for my skin type and specific skincare concerns. I think that good skincare is the foundation of a great beauty routine. I have found that there are just certain brands that work for my skin. Kate Somerville is certainly amongst my Top 5 Skincare Brands. So, I am always excited to explore the line and try out new products! 

My Skin:

Before diving into my review, lets talk a bit more about my skin type and skincare concerns. My skin is "classic combo" skin in that it is normal to dry in the Winter and normal-oily in the Summer. My t-zone area is where I get a bit of oil and I occasionally get a breakout or two around my chin or nose. I am in my early 40s. So, preventing aging is a primary concern. I am lucky in that I have no major signs of aging yet. Just some fine lines around my eyes and mouth area (more pronounced when my skin is dehydrated). My skin is also quite sensitive. So, I need to be super careful with aggressive anti-aging formulas, chemical sunscreens, highly scented products, and abrasive ingredients.

My Skin Loves: Kate Somerville Clinic-To-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads!

I have a new skincare addiction: Kate Somerville's Clinic-to-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads! Peel pads are a relatively new addition to my skincare routine. I would say that I have been using various brands of peel pads for just over a year or so, and I am completely hooked. My skin NEEDS the deep exfoliation that I can only get with an at-home peel pad type product. They keep my skin clear while providing the anti-aging benefits that a great peel provides.

With my general love of peel pads, I was super excited to try out Kate Somerville's Clinic-To-Go Resurfacing Peel Pads! Kate Somerville is one of my top 5 Skincare Brands! I completely and utterly trust Kate Somerville's products to be effective. It is this simple: I get amazing results when I use Kate Somerville products.

Kate Somerville's Clinic-to-Go Peel Pads literally give you a facial in just 2 minutes! Now, everyone has 2 extra minutes in their nighttime routine, right?! They are just so quick and easy to use and so effective. What is not to love? 

My Skin:

Before diving into details about this awesome product, let me give ya'll a little more info on my skin. I am 40 years old and have sensitive combination skin. I am combo-dry in the cold months and combo-oily in the warmer months. I am fighting both breakouts and wrinkles at this phase in life. I do not break out that often, but do get 1-2 spots per month (typically around nose and chin area) depending on my skincare routine. I find that good skincare products can eliminate me breaking out (so, no breakouts if I am on top of my skincare routine). I have no major wrinkles yet, but do have some fine lines around my eyes and mouth (that really only are apparent when my skin is a bit dehydrated). My biggest skincare complaint? My super dark under eye circles. Sigh!

These Clinic-To-Go Peel Pads are loaded with effective ingredients:

• Latic Acid naturally exfoliates and softens skin, diminishing the appearance of pores and helping to brighten the skin in just 28 days. 
• Soothing Myrtle and Sage Leaf Extract calms and conditions. 

How to Use:

These Peel-to-Go pads are individually wrapped, single-use buffing pads. Used twice weekly (sometimes I use twice weekly, but often I honestly get the same results with my skin with 1x per week use), these pads promote cellular turnover and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles while also keeping your skin clear. To use, just place your fingers in the little pocket of the pad and peel off the seal to expose the product. Gently buff the pad in gentle circular motions on clean and dry skin. This is my 2nd step in my skincare routine after a gentle cleanser. Leave product on for 2 minutes and then rinse. Easy peasy...and so quick! I can feel this product going to work with a slight tingle (ever so slight and not at all uncomfortable). My skin is sensitive and these pads still work for me! My skin is ever-so-slightly flushed for a few minutes after use (but that goes down in just a few minutes). After rinsing off this product, I follow up with a night cream.

My Results:

These Clinic-To-Go Peel Pads from Kate Somerville work wonders on my skin! Weekly use (1-2x per week) has refined my pores, decreased my breakouts, made my fine lines less apparent, diminished the appearance of my pores, and has left my skin ultra soft and smooth. Plus, I know that with the awesome exfoliation that I get from these Clinic-to-Go Peel Pads, my skincare products are sinking in better and are more effective! I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it!!!

It is time for another update in my "My Skin Loves" blog series. "My Skin Loves" is where I share my very favorite skincare products: my "Holy Grails" of skincare! :) This time, I am sharing an old favorite that has made its way back into my skincare routine!

As you all may know,  I have a bit of a love-affair with Kate Somerville's line of skincare products! With awards season, you often hear celebrities mentioning Kate Somerville. Using Kate Somerville skincare is one of Hollywood's best kept secrets about looking good for the red carpet! With the way that this particular product seems to "erase" wrinkles, I am not at all surprised by that fact! Seriously, this product literally smooths out my fine lines in minutes! There is absolutely nothing else that I have ever used that works quite like this product. 

 

Dermal Quench Liquid Lift Advanced Wrinkle treatment:

I was first introduced to this product over a year ago when I was watching a QVC special with Kate Somerville. I watched Kate demonstrate Dermal Quench and I was completely amazed. You literally spray it on and as it absorbs it plumps your skin and smooths out your fine lines and wrinkles. It makes them almost dissapear! So, ya'll know that I just had to try it out! This product is an old favorite and I have recently come back to using it and can't believe that I ever stopped!!! As a beauty blogger, I am often rotating products and trying new things to review here on the blog. So, it is a major treat when I cycle back to a favorite product like Dermal Quench Liquid Lift from Kate Somerville!

Honestly, I have never tried anything else quite like this product! The results are almost instantaneous and have such an amazing visual impact! You seriously just need to try it to believe it. It will erase or lessen your wrinkles just a few minutes after application.

Now, you might be thinking "You don't have wrinkles Pammy!". Well, no, I really don't. However, I do have some fine lines around my eyes that look much more prominent when my skin is dehydrated. This unique Dermal Quench spray completely obliterates those. I often surprise people when they hear my age. I am 40 years old and honestly happy to report that I don't look it. When I first meet people at parties and get-tethers and they find out my age...they will often jokingly want to know my "secret" to looking young. This product is one of those secrets! It is time for another update in the My Skin Loves series! This is where I highlight fabulous skincare products that I am currently using and loving. 

My Skin:

Before diving into talking about new products. Let me give ya'll a bit of background on my skin. I have classic combo skin (normal-oily in Spring/Summer and normal-dry in Fall/Winter). I get everything from dry patches to oily spots depending on the fluctuation of my skin. I just turned 40 a few months ago. So, I am *very* interested in anti-aging skincare. I have no major lines or wrinkles yet (whew!). I want to fend those off for as long as I can! So far, I just have fine lines that crop up around my eyes (especially when my skin is dry). I do occasionally break out. Not all the time, but I do get breakouts still. Typically, breakouts are on my chin and occasionally by my nose. I have a few dark spots that arrived with my pregnancy. Luckily, these are gradually fading (but still bothersome). My biggest skincare complaint? My very dark under eye circles. I have hereditary dark circles plus allergies and a general lack of sleep. So, my poor eye area looks haggard! Finding good eye creams and concealers is one of the main reasons I am into skincare and got into beauty blogging! ;)

Since Kate Somerville is one of my hands-down favorite skincare lines, I always get excited when new products launch! What can I say, my skin loves Kate Somerville! Across the board, the products are effective and innovative while also being very gentle on the skin. Plus, I simply get great results with Kate Somerville! Now, that is what I want in skincare: effective products that are gentle on the skin. 

My Skin:

I have classic combo skin (normal-oily in Spring/Summer and normal-dry in Fall/Winter). I do not break out very often. However, I do get the occasional blemish, blackhead, or clogged pore on my chin. I am a bit prone to redness and irritation. However, when I use the "right products", this is not an issue at all. In addition, I just turned 40 (OMG, I know...40?!?! I am still coming to terms with that, lol). So, as you can imagine, anti-aging skincare is at the top of my list! My biggest skin complaint? My super-duper dark under eye circles. Between allergies, lack of sleep, and heredity, I have a daily fight and a losing battle with my dark circles.

Eye Creams are near and dear to my heart. My eyes are both my favorite part of my face as well as my "trouble spot". Why the trouble? I suffer from very dark circles (from allergies, heredity, lack of sleep, etc) plus my eyes are sensitive. On top of that, I am just about to enter my 40s (OMG!) and fine lines are starting to become a bit more apparent despite my meticulous attention to my skincare routine. I need eye creams that pack in anti-aging benefits, fabulous hydration, and brightening while still being gentle enough for my sensitive eyes and eye area.

It is that time of year...time to talk SPFs! Wearing SPF is a big deal for me. Not only do I have super fair skin and live in sunny Georgia, but also I have a family history of skin cancer and have lost a dear friend to Melanoma. I absolutely do not mess around when it comes to sun protection. I wear it every single day year-round. However, I really up my protection during the Spring/Summer and apply more often. 

As a beauty blogger with an interest in SPF, I have amassed a huge arsenal of sun protection. Plus, there is just so much available! So, I decided to share with you my current go-to picks in my sun protection rotation. No, I don't wear all of these every day. These are just the ones that I tend to reach for, in rotation, the most. I have tested them all extensively over the past year and really love each one for particular reasons, for certain parts of the body, or specific activities.

My Skin Loves: My latest finds from Kate Somerville, Shiseido, and Boots (hint: I have found a new Holy Grail Product!!!)

It is time for another installment of my "My Skin Loves" Skincare Series! This is the series where I share all of my latest and greatest skincare finds. I have had many skincare loves lately! I have really just been lucking out with many of the products that I have tried. Since I have quite a few skincare loves. I will try to break them down a few at a time in my next few installments of "My Skin Loves"

My Skin: 

Before diving into my reviews, let me give you some background info about my skin. My skin is currently sensitive and combination-oily (with it being primarily oily in the t-zone). Typically my skin is combo-normal. However, I am currently pregnant and my skin gets more oily with pregnancy. Also, my skin has been very prone to breaking out both on my chin area and around my nose. I have large pores. My biggest skin issue is probably my difficulty with my dark under eye circles (due to heredity, allergies, and general lack of sleep). I am in my late 30's. So, I am very interested in fighting fine lines and preventing wrinkles and other signs of aging.

For this installment of "My Skin Loves", I am going to highlight some of my recent favorite finds: Kate Somerville's Oil Free Moisturizer, Shiseido's Ibuki Eye Correcting Cream, Boots Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz, and Boots Botanics Facial Oil.  I think that every single one of these products are amazing!!! Lets talk SPF! Summertime is the perfect time to look at your skincare routine to see what types of sun protection you need to add. I am a bit of an admitted SPF-junkie. My skin is super-duper fair. So, not only do I seek out the anti-aging and cancer protection benefits of sunscreen, but also I don't want to get burned! Plus, Skin Cancer runs in my family (My Dad) and I have already lost a very dear friend to Melanoma. So, I honestly do not mess around when it comes to SPF. I inherited my Dad's complexion. So, I know I have an extremely high risk for Skin Cancer because of his Cancer history.

What types of SPF?
My SPF needs change depending upon what "mood" my temperamental combination skin is in, what time of year it is, and what activities I have planned for the day.  Spending the day outdoors? Then I choose a high SPF. At the Pool? I apply something water resistant. Is my skin acting a bit oily? I go with a mattifying sunscreen. You get the idea! :) So, with that said, I have quite an assortment of sunscreens at my disposal and I choose whatever my skin requires.

It has been awhile since I have posted a favorites post! There are just so many products that I am loving for Spring right now that I just had to share!!! This month I am all about products that help me get ready quickly, lip products for both color and moisture, and fabulously gentle anti-aging skincare products. 

We are in the midst of trying to sell our house. So, I find that I am always trying to get ready super quick. I need to be ready to get myself, the baby, and the dog out of the door at a moments notice, lol...stress! Also, since I am no longer nursing my baby, I can finally dive into some great retinol-based anti-aging products. The great news? I have found some that produce fabulous results with no negative side effects! Yay!!! Lips? Bring on the color!!! I am all-about looking natural and putting the pop-of-color no my lips. It is actually much quicker to do a simple eye and bold lips. Plus, I just love the lip shades this Spring! So fresh and pretty!
