Sun safety and skin cancer prevention are of the utmost importance to me on a very personal level. Skin cancer runs in our family and my Dad has had countless basal cell carcinomas removed. I inherited his fair skin. So, I know that I am at risk. Also, I lost a dear friend to Melanoma. She was only 30 and spent her sunny summers at the lake. Because of my Dad and my friend, I get annual skin cancer screenings and I am religious about sunscreen application. Skin Cancer is preventable. We must protect ourselves with high SPF and practice overall sun safety by seeking shade, avoiding peak times in the sun, and wearing hats. The great news is that there are fantastic sunscreen options available right at your local CVS from Neutrogena and Aveeno.
If I could give advice to my younger self, I would encourage myself to start serious sun protection at an early age! I cringe when I think back at some of my younger days laying out in the sun before I knew better. While I can't go back and actually talk to my younger self, I can take action now. I can protect myself and my family with high SPF sunscreens. My children have my fair skin. So, I am vigilant with sunscreen application for them at all times. I am building sun safety habits with them every day! Sunscreen application is simply part of our daily routine before going outside. You can take action, too! You can start with good sun safe habits at a young age and you can continue them for a lifetime!

CVS in partnership with Johnson & Johnson's Neutrogena and the American Cancer Society is working hard to educate consumers on sun safety and sun care. CVS’s “Long Live Skin” campaign is an initiative meant to increase awareness around skin health.
As part of the Long Live Skin Campaign, CVS is removing all sun care products with SPF lower than 15 from its shelves, and replacing them with 30 new SPF+/broad spectrum products that either meet or exceed FDA standards. This way, all of the SPF skincare available at CVS will provide customers with optimum sun protection!
Your Purchase of Neutrogena or Aveeno can benefit the American Cancer Society!
For the dates 6/18-6/24, your Purchase of Neutrogena or Aveeno from CVS can benefit the American Cancer Society! Please purchase any Neutrogena or Aveeno product with SPF and $1 will be donated to the American Cancer Society to help prevent skin cancer up to $100,000.

Need some inspiration for your Neutrogena CVS purchases? I would love to share some of my newest additions to my SPF arsenal from Neutrogena! Neutrogena has so many options available for the whole family. We all have different skin types and skincare needs in my family. It is nice to have so many options available that work for us all.
Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 60+:
This sunscreen is a fantastic option for people with sensitive skin or eczema! While I do not have eczema, my skin does lean towards sensitive and there are certainly times when I want to use the most gentle sunscreen possible. This sunscreen is formulated with naturally-sourced physical sunscreens: titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. These two sunscreen ingredients always work well with my skin and I can trust the high physical protection that they provide without irritation.
Neutrogena Pure & Free®:
I have a toddler with Eczema. So, I am super excited about my recent discovery of the Neutrogena Pure & Free® line of SPF products. I recently added Pure & Free® Baby Faces Ultra Gentle Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 45+, Pure & Free® Baby Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 50, and Pure & Free® Baby Sunscreen Stick Broad Spectrum SPF 60 to my toddler's skincare protection routine. Right now I am loving both the Sheer Zinc™ Face Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 50 and the Sheer Zinc™ Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30.
