March Beauty Box 5 Theme:
What is Beauty Box 5?
Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that
delivers 5 cosmetic samples to your door for $12 a month. The samples are all deluxe and sometimes the boxes include full-sized products, too! Shipping is free on every box. :) When you subscribe to Beauty Box 5, each month you get a beauty box delivered right to your door! The boxes contain a mix of makeup, beauty accessories, skincare, fragrance, bath& body items, and nail products (Not all of these this month, but something from those categories). Beauty Box 5 is a great way to discover new products or get yourself out of a cosmetics rut!

"Out with the Old, In with the New!" Spring Cleaning:
This is such a great theme for the approaching Spring and Spring weather. I am certainly tired of Winter and am ready for the "change" of Spring! The Beauty Box 5 Card prompts us to make change by throwing out the old makeup that we never use (raising hand: I totally need to do that!) and to put a stop to bad habits. Clean and gorgeous skin is our new goal! :)
Beauty Box 5: March 2014 Box Opening and "First Impressions" Product Reviews:
- Jane's Pick All Natural Soaps (small slice sample, full size cost $8.00): This is a small slice of handmade bar soap. It cleans with an all-natural soap blend that is infused with herbs and flowers. I am actually a HUGE fan of bar soap. So, I was thrilled to see this included in my Beauty Box 5 box! Plus, the scent...omg! I love it! The scent is a mix of lavender and something soft and creamy, I think, vanilla? I really adore the scent and like the moisturizing feel of this soap. I am not sure of the name of the scent that I got as it was not checked off on the package (it is either Peace or Purity...I am pretty sure it is Peace from the description of "lavender and litesa"). I only wish it was a full size bar!
- Tree Hut Shea Body Butter (sample size: 2 oz, full size cost $7.49): I have heard of this brand. So, I am curious to try out this product! This is a super thick and rich cocoa butter and shea butter body butter. The coconut lime scent is to-die-for and it makes me want the beach! I am such a user of body butters and love that I have a nice travel size one. This is going right in my travel bag!
- Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base (sample size: .25 oz, full size cost: $18.99): This is an all-in-one ivory base that can work as a concealer, illuminator, and eyeshadow primer. The shade looks a bit too dark for me. However, I might be able to make it work. I am always curious to try out new concealing products as I have very dark circles.
- H20 Plus Hand & Nail Cream (sample size 1 oz, full size cost: $15.00): My hands are sooooo dry. So, I am happy to find a hand cream in this box. This is a non-greasy lotion with silk proteins, Vit E, and marine botanicals. This is going right in my purse! A hand cream sample is always a welcome addition to a beauty box in my book as I always use these! :)
- Swissco Dual-Sided Facial Pad (Full size! Retail $2.00): This is a cute little natural loofah fiber facial exfoliating disc. You can just use this with your regular cleanser to boost your skins exfoliation. I will certainly try this soon (after I finish my current testing of a Japenese Konjac sponge). I really like manual exfoliation in the shower! So, I am super happy about this sample.
Overall, I think that this month's Beauty Box 5 box was pretty good! The box contains a nice variety of makeup and body care samples. I do wish that the soap was full size (just because I really adore the scent!). While the shade might not work with the Bellapierre Makeup Base, I am curious to try it.

I wasn't thrilled. I like color cosmetics! We'll see... I'll give them one more month.
