The Scent of Fall: My Pumpkin Obsession! Soaps, Body Butter, and Skincare

Mmm...the scents of Fall! Crisp Autumn days and a Starbucks Spiced Pumpkin latte in hand...Okay, so maybe it is still hot as anything in GA; but, those days are just around the corner!!!

Apple, Pumpkin, Cinnamon...what delicious scents. Honestly, I look forward to Fall fragrances every year! As soon as September arrives, I fill my home with pumpkin, apple, and cinnamon scented candles, body creams/body butters, hand soaps, body washes, etc! You name it: if it comes in a pumpkin scent, I want it! :) Plus, I seem to collect every pumpkin recipe known to man (check out my baking pinboard on Pinterest!!!) and start pumpkin-baking like a madwoman.

For this post, I thought that I would just showcase some of the newest additions to my Fall Pumpkin-scented product collection: an assortment of hand soaps, a rich body butter, and a facial mask! To hear more, keep reading.

Nothing marks the change of a season more than the arrival of a beloved scent. For me, that scent is Pumpkin for Fall! Honestly, I have been looking forward to writing up this "Pumpkin Post" for quite some time now!

Shea Terra's Gingered Pumpkin Whipped Shea Butter:
Lets start off with my very favorite new pumpkin item...Shea Terra's Gingered Pumpkin Whipped Shea Butter. Oooooh...this stuff is just a pumpkin lovers dream! The scent is actually quite light and non-overwhelming. Just pure yumminess. Actually, to me, the ginger scent seems to jump out a bit more than than the pumpkin scent. It reminds me of the scent of spice cake baking in the oven. There is a sweetness to the scent reminiscent of vanilla and sugar. It honestly makes you smell just about good enough to eat!

This creme contains organic shea butter (locks in moisture), pumpkin seed oil (rich in vitamins like B and K, beta keratin, and antioxidants: helps balance skin tone!), and spices like ginger.

The shea butter itself is rich and creamy. It has a soft buttery feel. It is silky smooth and literally melts right into your skin. It is super rich and hydrating. I use it more like a "body balm" on all of my super dry parts like elbows, cuticles, hands, etc.

If you are a fan of baked-goods scents (and organic products!), then you must try out Shea Terra! This Pumpkin body butter is a great place to start! My other Shea Terra loves? Their Dark Chocolate Scrub and their Bananas & Baobas Whipped Shea Butter (check out my previous reviews linked here)!

The Skinny:
Retails for $18.00 for a generous 9 oz jar.

Moon Essence Organic Pumpkin Peel Refining and Smoothing Mask:
Here is a great pumpkin treat for your next "spa night" a pumpkin peel/mask: MoonEssence Pumpkin Peel.

Wow, this facial treatment looks and smells *exactly* like pumpkin pie filling! Pumpkin is choc-full of skin loving ingredients. Pumpkins naturally contain enzymes that help dissolve dead or dry skin. The Vitamin A rich pumpkin helps fight aging and free radicals. So, get your pumpkin-fix with this yummy-smelling facial! You don't have to wait for Thanksgiving for this "pumpkin pie" like treat (ha ha, couldn't resist that!).

You can use this mask once a week. Just wash your face and apply mask. Let the mask stay on from 1-5 minutes (depending on how sensitive your skin is). My skin is sensitive, so I keep it on for about 2 minutes.  I can feel a slight "tingle" from this mask while it is on. The tingle is not unpleasant. Then I rinse with warm water and a soft wash cloth. The water will neutralize the mask.  Follow with your usual toner and moisturizer.

I love using this mask! Enzyme masks just do so much more (anti-aging wise) for your skin than a typical clay mask. The pumpkin enzymes really work to exfoliate and refine your skin.  My skin always looks fresh and feels super smooth after using this mask. I love it! A perfect Fall treat that is good all year round!!!

The Skinny:
2 oz Jar retails for about $38.99

Bath and Body Works Hand Soaps:
If you need a Fall-scent fix throughout your home, turn to Bath and Body Works hand soaps! There are so many to choose from in a variety of Fall scents (even Halloween ones!). Pictured here are some of the Pumpkin ones that I picked out. I am pretty much addicted to Bath and Body Works soaps. I usually have season-appropriate ones in my bathrooms.

I particularly like the smell of both of these soaps! Neither of these smell like "straight pumpkin". The Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin smells like a combo of apple cider and pumpkin and Creamy Pumpkin smells sweet like vanilla and pumpkin. I love the packaging too! Super cute and thematically appropriate. :) My hands smell so good after washing with these!

I think I might need to head back to Bath and Body Works to pick up the Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Candle and Body Cream and Fine Fragrance Mist!

The Skinny:
These are almost always on sale at Bath and Body Works. I got mine on a "5 for $15.00" deal.

So, is anyone else as obsessed with pumpkin-scented products as I am? Or am I just a pumpkin-freak? lol! What pumpkin products do you love? I would like to find some other great Fall scented items (Pumpkin, Apple, or Spice) too!
