Perk up your skin! Try Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion (review)

Hello there my lovely readers!!! Does your pale post-winter skin need a pick-me-up? I know mine sure does! My normally dry skin gets super dry in the winter and not to mention super pale too! Burt's Bee's Radiance Body lotion will lightly moisturize your skin and impart a nice glowly "sheen" to your skin! It really makes your skin look so lovely!!! Skin truly looks *glowy*, not glittery with this lotion.

Now that the weather is getting warmer, and we are showing more skin, this lotion can give your skin a pretty and glowy look!

The scoop (keep reading):

  • All natural ingredients. This is such a huge plus!!! It is just nice to know that something is all natural when you are slathering it all over your body. :)
  • The scent: Now, I am not 100% about this scent. But, it is growing on me. I can't quite place it...somewhat floral? It reminds me of daises. It is a bit perfumey (which surprised me coming from Burt's Bees, I was imagining a more "natural" scent), but it is nice. Definitely sniff it before you buy it! ;)
  • The Glow: This lotion contains Mica to impart a beautiful shimmer/sheen to your skin. It is so subtle...but, so luminous!!! I LOVE the look of my skin with this lotion. The shimmer is subtle enough to be daytime appropriate. I totally adore this lotion for the look it gives the skin.
  • The Moisturization: Now, I am used to using very thick body creams and body butters, so, I was quite surprised at the super runny consistency of this lotion. I mean...it is down-right watery. When I first put it on, I thought, this is going to do *nothing* to moisturize. But, I was surprised that it does actually moisturize pretty decently considering the thin consistancy. With that said, if you skin is super-duper dry, opt for layering this product. You could apply a body cream/body butter first and then layer this on top to get the shimmery effects. What I do: I apply body cream to my very dry areas like my elbows and hands. Then I apply this lotion everywhere. In the warm weather, this may be just the right amount of moisturization that I need. But, in the meantime, I will layer this over a thicker cream on my dry areas.
  • The Look: Beautiful glowly skin!!! Can't beat the look of this lotion. I just feel prettier with this on! This looks lovely on my pale winter skin!!! What a perk-me-up! I also think this would look lovely over self tanner or a light tan (if you are one who tans). What a gorgeous glow!!! This shimmer wears all day without coming off or transferring to your clothes. I will totally be buying this again when I run out! Love it!
Thanks so much for reading!!!

I had a sample of this some times ago (and I think I have another one somewhere in my stash) but I don't know, it's not something I would buy myself. It's moisturizing and smells great, but it's a little too light for my liking (I prefer creams and butters) and it's a little pricey for a drugstore moisturizer. Gotta LOVE Burt's Bees though! Great review x

Hey Gaby-Yes, I agree, I generally prefer something more rich and moisturizing...but, for me this Burt's Radiance lotion is more about its Shimmer, so I apply richer creams on elbows and hands, etc and then the shimmer all over. :)

Hi Pammy, I know what you mean about the scent. Juicytuesday raves about how great this smells but I find it kind of a 'different' scent & can't quite place what it smells like. It's not bad necessarily just like nothing I've smelled before :) I agree that the shimmer gives a beautiful effect, without appearing like chunks of glitter on your skin.
