It is time for my monthly Simply Earth Essential Oil DIY Box subscription opening. I just love my Simply Earth monthly Essential Oil DIY box subscription and I look forward to its arrival every month. Simply Earth has fantastic high-quality essential oils and all of the tools and accessories you need to create some super fun and completely useful essential oil DIY recipes and projects. 

I am so excited to be a part of the Simply Earth blogger squad so that I can bring you the scoop on each month's box and share the fun that I had creating all of the DIY recipes with Simply Earth!

My monthly Simply Earth Box is seriously one of my favorite things!!! There is no question that the addition of essential oils to my everyday life has worked to enhance my environment and help me to manage stress and illness within my house. When I first started out with oils, I just thought that I would enjoy the "scent your home" aspect of essential oils. However, the more I get into essential oils, and the more that I learn and explore, I realize that essential oils can do so much more for you than just smell pretty. Essential oils can do everything from helping you to manage your stress and emotions, to enhancing your sleep, to warding off illness. Essential Oils are so versatile and so fun to explore! My monthly Simply Earth Essential Oils Recipe Box is really helping me to learn more about essential oils a little bit at a time with 4 oils and recipes to go with them. I feel like I have gone so far beyond just diffusing oils! The recipes really help me to integrate Essential Oils into every part of my life.

My Simply Earth monthly Essential Oil subscription box has really taken the guesswork out of exploring and using essential oils. Their monthly box contains 4-5 essential oils and ALL the ingredients, supplies, and recipes for a variety of essential oil DIY projects every month. If you are like me, you are constantly pinning ideas on Pinterest. But, honestly, how often do we actually make these DIY projects? lol, it is time consuming to go hunting around for all those supplies! This month's box has a Halloween theme. With cute Halloween themed recipe cards, stickers, and projects that coordinate with the season!

The Oils:

• Cinnamon Essential Oil: Mmmm...I LOVE the fragrance of Cinnamon! It is beautiful for home scenting throughout Fall and Winter. From the recipe card: This sweet and spicy oil has woody undertones that pair great with citurs scents for fall diffuser aromas. Cinnamon uplifts moods and also deters insects that could be after your Halloween candy! lol ;)
• Citrus Burst Essential Oil Blend: Yay! I am already a fan of Citrus Burst from a previous purchase. So, I am thrilled to have another. I adore diffusing Citrus oils in the mornings for energy and to refresh the air and atmosphere. Citurs oils are so cheery and uplifting! From the recipe card: This beautiful blend of Lime, Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange, and Bergamot Essential Oils adds energy to any room. Its fresh scent makes it a great pair with its natural cleaning properties. 
• Rosemary Essential Oil: This is the first time I have ever tried Rosemary essential oil! Super excited to add it to my growing collection. From the card: You probably have this herb in your kitchen! Taken from the leaves of this plant, Rosemary Essential Oil clears the mind, relieves tight muscles, and uplifts. 
• Energy Essential Oil: This is another new oil for me! I love using oils to boost energy and this blend is fantastic. From the card: Comprised of Lemon, Eucaplyptus, and Peppermint Essential Oils, this blend is a great way to re-energize your Halloween party or pick you up after a sugar crash. 

This month's theme is Halloween. So, the box is packed with super cute Halloween-inspired DIYs that are completely fitting for this time of year. I adore Halloween and look forward to it every year. So, I really appreciate the cute Halloween graphics on the recipe cards and on the label stickers.

DIY Recipes:
From this month's box, there are recipes for the following:

• Uplifting Inhaler: OMG! I *adore* this mixture in an inhaler. I am not positive, but I feel like this is a dupe of an essential oil blend that I used to use from another (very expensive) oil company and would use it in an inhaler for Stress. This smells the same! I am thrilled! The inhaler was included in this month's box. So, you just put the cute sticker on and drop the required amounts of oil on the wick and close it up. The mixture is 1 part Rosemary EO to two parts Citrus Burst EO. I pretty much tripled the amount on the card to make a stronger inhaler. Amazing!!! It literally is instant stress relief and a mood boost for me to sniff this. 

• Halloween Candle: When I first opened the box, I thought "oh, I am never going to make this"...well, wrong! As I worked my way through the other DIY projects and was having so much fun, I decided to give it a go. So, this was my very first attempt at candle making...and it was a success! I modifed the directions somewhat as I don't have a double boiler. No worries, a quick google search led me to simple microwave directions for melting soy wax. So, I melted the wax in a glass container in the microwave. It worked perfectly! I think I only microwaved it about 2 minutes. I also shredded tiny bits of crayon to die the wax orange. I added those in before melting and it worked like a charm. I added the essential oils to the wax after taking the melted wax out of the microwave. Then I poured it in the jar with the wick inside. Easy peasy! Much easier than I thought. Now I can't wait to make more candles. It was really fun! Plus, I am obcessed with the way that the Citrus Burst smells with the Rosemary! So, it makes for a very uplifting and de-stressing candle! 

• Creepy Crawlers Repellant: Are super easy DIYs more your speed? Well, this one is super quick and easy. Just drop Cinnamon EO onto some cotton balls and stuff the little empty canvas sachet bag. Then place a cute sticker and the little spider on the bag. Super quick (minutes) and easy! I hung the little bag in my mud room so that we get a beautiful scent of cinnamon right when we walk in the door from the garage into the mudroom. I feel that it is both deoderizing as well as a bug repellant. 

• Energy Roll On: This is a great one to keep in your work bag or purse! I always need a pick-me-up in the afternoons. So, I am super excited to use this. I used the Fractionated Coconut Oil that came in my "big box" with my inital Simply Earth box last month (the big box is a box of supplies that will be needed for the following 6 months of DIY projects). Just fill the roll on with coconut oil, add in your EO and your roller ball is set! This blend smells sooooo good! 

• Blood of the Dragon Diffuser/Master Blend: One of my favorite things to do with Essential Oils is to make my own Master Blends. I just used a small dropper bottle that was in my Big Box and quadrupled the recipe to make a blend that I can use in my diffuser. Insteading of mixing it drop by drop each time I want to diffuse, I already have the blend mixed. This is a very positive and energizing blend. 

• Halloween Makeup Remover: This is the only DIY that I did not make this month. I have very sensitive eyes. So, I knew that I would not use a blend with EOs around my eye area. I am sure that others can use it with no problems. However, I know that scents around my eyes tend to bother my eye area. So, I passed on this one.
