My Neutrogena® Naturals "Use it Up!" Challenge and #Giveaway for Earth Month!

Sponsored Post Affiliate Link Press Sample

April is Earth Month! Embrace Earth Month and join me in a fun "Use it Up!" product challenge. My goal this month is to focus on the use of natural products....but that is not all! I want to strive to use up these products and recycle my empty containers!

Start to Finish Recycling:
The Neutrogena® Naturals line really inspired me to create this challenge with the idea of Start-to-Finish recycling! The products in the Neutrogena® Naturals line use up to 50% post-consumer recycled materials (start) and they want to encourage you to do your part and property recycle your empties (finish)!

As a general rule, I am trying to add more natural elements to my life. From foods, to my environment, even my cleaning products are now natural with essential oils. So, it only makes sense for me to make a transition to using more natural and natural-based beauty products.

Looking to add more natural and easily recyclable products to your routine? Neutrogena® Naturals is a fantastic natural line that is widely available at drugstores and mass retailers.

Neutrogena® Naturals is natural skincare re-invented! The products deliver the natural experience while giving you the results that you expect from the Neutrogena line. Neutrogena researched natural product ingredients for years. They selected ingredients containing a high amount of bio nutrients and created a unique scaffolding of synthetics that work to synergistically with these natural ingredients. So, the core of the Neutrogena® Naturals line remains to be naturally derived ingredients and Bionutrients.

Neutrogena® Naturals is allergy tested and free from harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes and phthalates.

Even the packaging of Neutrogena® Naturals products is eco-friendly! With a commitment to sustainability and in an effort to help save trees and preserve water, Neutrogena® Naturals folding cartons are made from 100 percent recycled paper with 60 percent post-consumer recycled content and are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified and use 75 percent less water in processing these materials than virgin paperboard.

My Skin:
Before diving into my reviews of my favorite Neutrogena® Naturals products, lets chat a bit about my skin! I am in my early 40s and I have combination skin. I am lucky in that I only have very minor signs of aging: just some fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead that are honestly only apparent when my skin is a bit dehydrated. Also, my skin is somewhat sensitive. Over the years, I have found that I am sensitive to certain ingredients. So, I tend to gravitate towards products that are fragrance-free or have a very light scent, natural products or products containing natural ingredients, and products without chemical sunscreens. I am looking for effective products that do not cause any sensitivity reactions. In addition, I am somewhat prone to breakouts in my t-zone area.

To find out more about my favorite Neutrogena® Naturals and my "Use it Up" Challenge, please click "read more" below. Plus, you can enter to win some Neutrogena Naturals products, too, in my GIVEAWAY!

My "Use it Up" Challenge:
The challenge really is quite simple! Inspired by Earth Month and Earth Day, my goal in April is to use up as many natural and recyclable products as possible! So often I try a little of "this" and a little of "that" and I end up with cluttered bottles of products all over my bathroom. Rather than dabble here and there, I am going to commit to specific products and use them up to completion. That way, I can eliminate clutter and decrease waste. Plus, it is so satisfying to take those empty containers to the recycle bin!!! Join me in this challenge this month and use up as many natural products as you can! Neutrogena Naturals is a great choice for this challenge. The products are awesome and they are easily available right at your corner drugstore!

Let's go ahead and dive into some details about my favorite items from the Neutrogena® Naturals line!

Oh how I love a good natural sunscreen! Seriously! I really adore this sunscreen!!! Chemical sunscreens often irritate my somewhat sensitive skin. So, I tend to gravitate towards facial sunscreen formulas like this one from Neutrogena® Naturals that contain mineral non-chemical sunscreens like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. I am such a huge believer in wearing SPF on a daily basis. You can protect your skin from the sun's harmful and burning rays while also getting the anti-aging benefits of sun protection! Not only have I been enjoying this product as part of my "Use it Up" challenge, but also I think that it is honestly one of my new favorite everyday sunscreens!

I just love the feel of this sunscreen. It goes on light and sinks in quickly. It does not feel greasy nor does it leave my skin shiny like so many sunscreens do. It leaves my skin well-hydrated and nicely prepped for makeup application. Seriously, this is a new favorite and I will certainly purchase a new tube when I run out!

This lightweight lotion, which contains skin-brightening lemon peel extract, provides moisturization and works with your skin to soothe skin roughness and visibly even skin tone in just four weeks. It also helps prevent future sun damage with a protective layer of UVA/UVB mineral- based sunscreen*. Made with 94% naturally derived ingredients and 100% naturally derived sunscreens (titanium dioxide and zinc oxide).Contains lemon peel extract sourced from the Mediterranean, a powerful bionutrient that brightens and visibly evens skin tone.

This sunscreen retails for $13.99 at drugstores.

Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser:
This is my morning facial cleanser (I like to use the Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover at night to cleanse and remove makeup in one step, see below!). I use this cleanser in the shower and it works beautifully to gently cleanse my skin and remove all impurities.

It contains a special ingredient: willowbark Bionutrient salicylic acid, which effectively removes dirt, oil and makeup. Other naturally derived ingredients include: coconut, corn, willow bark, and guar bean. The ingredients are 90% naturally derived.

This cleanser retails for $7.99 at drugstores.

Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover:
I really like this cleanser! I love multi-tasking and this cleanser effectively and gently washes my face while also removing all of my makeup. This cleanser makes such a nice foam and honestly is just really relaxing to use in the evenings when I wash my face. I really enjoy the fresh and light scent, too. Sometimes cleansers can irriate my sensitive skin and eyes: but not this one! It cleanses and removes makeup completely without being even the slightest bit irritating. My skin is left feeling fresh and the cleanser rinses clean with no residue and no dry/nor tight feeling. This cleanser works very gently around the fragile skin near my eyes and works in one step without stripping my skin's natural moisture barrier.

This cleanser contains Peruvian Tara Seed Bionutrients vitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin E and complex sugars which leave skin soft. Naturally derived ingredients include coconut, Peruvian tara seed, and guar bean. This cleanser is 86% naturally derived.

The Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover retails for $7.99 at drugstores.

I am always looking for good makeup wipes! I really like this one from Neutrogena® Naturals. Now, I don't use makeup wipes every day. My makeup is not very heavy and usually I can get everything removed with the Neutrogena® Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover. However, some days, I just need a little more makeup removing power on my makeup. These work nicely! Also, I tend to use a lot of wipes while I am beauty blogging as I am always needing to wipe swatches off of my hands or I might need to change colors on my face between taking product pictures. I love reaching for these wipes!

These towelettes are made from 100% renewable and sustainable fibers, with materials from sustainably and responsibly managed forests. Unlike other towelettes, NEUTROGENA® Naturals are knotted in a dotted pattern for higher performance than traditional at wipes. Now, these wipes have not replaced traditional washing for me. However, Neutrogena makes a really interesting point to consider:  Those who switch from traditional water face washing to using towelettes exclusively can save up to 1,800 gallons of water per year for each individual. Interesting point!

The Neutrogena®  Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes are clinically proven to remove makeup including waterproof mascara, naturally. I love the convenience of a wipe: you can clean and freshen skin in one simple step; No sink required! While I don't recommend doing this every day...you can skip traditional washing by just using a wipe (if you are super duper tired, this is better than sleeping in your makeup!). These wipes are formulated with unique emollients to help dissolve oil and makeup with ease. The Neutrogena®  Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes contain 97% naturally-derived cleansing ingredients without any harsh chemical sulfates phthalates, parabens or unnecessary additives.

The Neutrogena®  Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes retail for $7.49 in drugstores.

Even though I have sensitive skin, I do love a good scrub. In fact, I have found that using manual exfoliation really has a dramatic impact on my skin! The trick is that I can't exfoliate every day. If I stick to a few times a week with a good scrub, I can get the benefits wihout irritating my skin. So, with that said, I like to use this scrub about 2-3 times a week for best results. Using this scrub really helps refine my skin's texture, leaves me feeling ultra soft, and consistant use helps to keep my skin clear from breakouts.

The Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub effectively washes away dead skin and detoxifies my pores. This product is really nice for those of you who are acne-prone (like me!). The Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub contains willowbark Bionutrient salicylic acid to remove dirt, oil and makeup. The 94% naturally derived ingredients include coconut, castor oil, willow bark, jojoba oil.

The Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub retails for  $7.99 at drugstores.

Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream:
Besides the Neutrogena®  Naturals Brightening Daily Moisturizer with SPF 25, this Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream is my other favorite product from the Neutrogena® Naturals line. Seriously, if you only try two products from this line, try these two! I just adore this night cream!!! When I use it at night, I wake up with incredibly smooth and plump skin. The texture of this cream is just lovely. It is rich, but it is also somehow very light feeling on the skin (almost a whipped feel to the cream). It sinks in beautifully and leaves me smooth and soft and hydrated! It does not feel greasy at all. In fact, I feel that my skin just drinks this in! Plus, I just adore the ultra light citrus scent (and ya'll know that I tend to go for either light scents or no scents at all...but this scent is light and lovely).

The vitamin-infused moisturizer and night cream from the Neutrogena® Naturals line are 97 percent naturally derived and provide continuous nourishment to help boost skin’s defense against dullness and roughness, leaving it naturally radiant and healthier-looking.

The Neutrogena® Naturals Moisturizer and Night Cream are specially formulated to restore moisture and healthy levels of skin essentials such as anti-oxidant Omegas and Vitamin E bionutrients, the Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer and Night Cream are clinically proven to give skin what it needs to look and feel its best: the perfect multivitamin, for skin!

This soothing cream is formulated with multi-vitamins that replenishes moisture and essential skin nutrients. Plus, it contains no harsh chemical sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes or phthalates. Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream is allergy tested and Non-comedogenic.

This Neutrogena® Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream retails for $12.99 at drugstores.

i have never thought abt recycling hair product bottles, but will now, i do recycle newspaper, use them as mulch, also large jugs, such as water bottles, cleaning bottles, i fill them with rain water to water my plants. i also recycle left over foods, i use seeds in my gardens, i throw scraps of veggies, orange and lemon peels in my gardens. i also recycle weeds and other small limbs. i have a pile that i put in my woods and then after awhile it becomes nice rich soil. i also recycle plastic bags, i use many of them as poop bags. i use a reusable bag for groceries, i keep several in my car. i am also a member of the local free cycle club. i have lots of samples, that i keep for traveling and keep in my purse. so i try to recycle as much as i can. i know that some pet food companies are now recycling pet food bags.
