Warm Weather Makeup Updates from Laura Mercier

Now that the hot weather of the season has officially arrived, it’s time to clean out my makeup stash! What a perfect time to sort through everything: toss any old, expired or unnecessary products in favor of fresh, new products! Not to mention, after just making a move, it is the perfect time to de-clutter and downsize the collection. I find that when I eliminate products that I don't need or use, I end up liking the remaining products even more! Plus, when you eliminate the clutter, you can see what items that you actually need to add. For me, those areas are foundations and lip products. Aside from mascara that expires the quickest, lippies and foundations do not last long either. So, I am super excited to add some new lips shades and foundations for the Summer season! 

Laura Mercier has long been one of my go-to makeup brands. The products are just amazing! I am excited to add an assortment of the new Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colors and the Laura Mercier cult-classic Tinted Moisturizer with Broad Spectrum SPF 20. 

Summer Makeup Updates:

Trade in a heavy coverage foundation for a more lightweight version, like Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen ($44). Laura Mercier’s original multitasker perfectly blends skincare and makeup to give skin a healthy, no-makeup look with a soft hint of color and SPF protection (ideal for those sunshiny spring days.) The lightweight formula provides a natural appearance while adding a healthy glow to the complexion. I just love this product! Such great coverage for a tinted moisturizer! Plus, I love giving my skin a little boost of SPF protection (especially in the Summer). I wear the shade Cameo which is a very close match for my fair skin.

Brighten up your lip color with NEW Velour Lovers Lip Colour ($28, November 2015). This highly pigmented, moisturizing lip color couples delicate mattifying powders with moisturizing mango butter to create a velvety texture that is smooth, creamy and long-wearing. A revolution in matte lipstick, the formula is buildable, offering medium to high coverage, so you can custom the perfect look for the spring. 

I just love the formula of these lip colors! The pigment is so saturated. Just a quick swipe lays down a blanket of smooth and rich color. I tried the following shades (listed left to right, top to bottom from the swatch above): Lover, Coquette, Embrace, Devotion, Fantasy, Boudoir, and French Kiss. Plus, can I just mention that I love the small, sleek, and square packaging? Such great lippies! :)
