It is time for another update in the My Skin Loves series! This is where I highlight fabulous skincare products that I am currently using and loving.

My Skin:
Before diving into talking about new products. Let me give ya'll a bit of background on my skin. I have classic combo skin (normal-oily in Spring/Summer and normal-dry in Fall/Winter). I get everything from dry patches to oily spots depending on the fluctuation of my skin. I just turned 40 a few months ago. So, I am *very* interested in anti-aging skincare. I have no major lines or wrinkles yet (whew!). I want to fend those off for as long as I can! So far, I just have fine lines that crop up around my eyes (especially when my skin is dry). I do occasionally break out. Not all the time, but I do get breakouts still. Typically, breakouts are on my chin and occasionally by my nose. I have a few dark spots that arrived with my pregnancy. Luckily, these are gradually fading (but still bothersome). My biggest skincare complaint? My very dark under eye circles. I have hereditary dark circles plus allergies and a general lack of sleep. So, my poor eye area looks haggard! Finding good eye creams and concealers is one of the main reasons I am into skincare and got into beauty blogging! ;)

There is no question, Kate Somerville is one of my Top 5 Skincare Brands. I am always excited to try out products from this line! Recently, I have been testing out Kate Somerville's Gentle Daily Wash and Mega-C Dual Radiance Serum. To find out more about these amazing products and how they worked for my skin, please click "read more" below!

Kate Somerville Gentle Daily Wash:
I am a strong believer that any great skincare routine starts with effective gentle cleansing. When I use cleansers that are too harsh, my skin rebounds with redness, blotchiness, and dry spots. So, I need a cleanser that removes all dirt and debris while not stripping my skin. Plus, I like a cleanser with a clean feel and that rinses clean.

This face wash is a sulfate-free gel cleanser that was designed for sensitive skin. Key ingredients include: Soapbark Tree Extract (which contains natural saponins, which cleanses skin), Bergamot Oil (tones skin and aids in eliminating impurities), Lavender Essence (soothes skin), and Natural Sage Oil (calms and conditions skin). I love the gel feel of this cleanser and the botanical scent. This cleanser gets my skin completely clean without overdrying my skin. The gel cleanser rinses clean and leaves me feeling soft and clean.

Kate Somerville Mega-C Dual Radiance Serum:
This is a dual-phase serum. The packaging is unique and functions to keep the product stable and effective for application (potency is preserved until you apply). One side contains the Vitamin C serum and the other side contains bio active phyto-omegas 3, 6, 9, and 7. You pump these out simultaneously. When you apply the two serums combine and activate in order to pull the micronized Vitamin C deep into your skin where it does its magic! This formula works to support collagen renewal, improve skin discoloration, improve skin's firmness, elasticity, and texture, and improves overall radiance of your skin. Plus, Sea Buckthorn Pulp Oil and Vitamin E moisturize skin restore skin while replenishing lipids. Notes on application: You have to shake this product or tap it to help product settle. Then simultaneously pump out both sides. One pump (of each side) is all I need for my entire face. I do have trouble pumping both sides at same time. So, I pump one side and then the other. I love the light citrusy scent of this product. This serum is so hydrating that I do not need to use and additional moisturizer when I use this serum. I do feel a very slight tingle one my skin when I use this product. I believe this is from the high concentration of Vitamin C in this product (10%). I use this serum at night after cleansing my face and using a toner. Since using this serum, I have noticed that my skin seems smoother and brighter and I wake up with hydrated soft skin. I do believe that this product helps with fading dark spots as well. I previously used Kate Somerville's Lumi White for dark spots and have had fabulous results with that as well. If you are looking for a super effective Vitamin C Serum, you should check this product out!
