Makeup Wars: Favorite Travel Products

I Bought It Affiliate Link/Referral Links Press Sample/Blogger Ambassador

It is time for another Makeup War!!!

This week the Makeup Wars bloggers are sharing their favorite items for travel! While I do have some favorite products that I always travel with which I will share with you...I do have a packing secret: I load up my travel toiletries bag with goodies from my various Beauty Sample Subscription boxes!!! As my loyal readers know, I have a bit of a healthy obcession with Beauty Sample subscriptions. So, I have no shortage of travel sized products in my home. Even those good ol foil packet samples of shampoos get used when my family goes on trips!
The Hold Me "Middle Sister" Bag:
Before we dive into my product recommendations for travel, lets talk about my newest travel makeup bag: The Hold Me "Middle Sister" bag!

From previous travel packing posts, ya'll know that I love the classic Hold Me bag (perfect for a long trip) and the Hold Me Mini (ideal for a weekend getaway or even your everyday purse makeup bag). Well, the Hold Me company now has a size in the "middle": the Middle Sister! It really is just the "right size" for a short trip (longer than a weekend). The Hold Me bags are great because you can tuck away your makeup flat in the zippered compartment and there is an area to keep your brushes organized, too! So, you don't have to pack an additional brush roll. The quality of these bags is just stellar. Plus, they really protect your makeup and keeps everything super organized and in its place. I adore these bags and think that this "Middle Sister" bag is a perfect addition to the Hold Me line.

To hear more about some of my travel makeup favorites, my travel makeup "secret" packing tip, and more about the Hold Me Bag, please click "read more" below! :)

I am an Aveeno Ambassador & Aveeno's "The Beauty of Nature" Video Campaign

Affiliate Link Blogger Ambassador

I am so excited to announce that I recently signed on with Aveeno to be an Aveeno Ambassador! I am a long-time Aveeno fan. So, this is very exciting! As an Aveeno Ambassador, I am going to be able to bring you all of the latest news from the brand. Plus, I will be diving into a lot of Aveeno product testing and Aveeno reviews. So, please stay tuned for more Aveeno news and reviews here in the future! What else is fun? Through the Aveeno brand, I get exclusive access to submit questions to celebrity brand Amabassador Jennifer Anniston (yay! LOVE her!).

Today Aveeno launches their new "Beauty of Nature" Video campaign. This campaign is a series of informational videos narrated by Aveeno celebrity brand Ambassador Jennifer Anniston.

The first digital short highlights the farm-to-formulation journey of the key ingredient behind Aveeno: the oat. As an oatmeal lover and Aveeno fan, I love learning more about this amazing key ingredient and all it does for you!
Jennifer Anniston and Aveeno:
"I’ve used AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Lotion since I was in my 20s but working on this project and learning everything that goes into their skincare products – how they are conscious of the ingredients chosen, how they’re grown, how they’re formulated – has given me a whole new appreciation for the Brand.  I realize that what makes all the difference is actually the story behind the products so it's great to be able to help share that story,"- AVEENO® Brand Ambassador Jennifer Aniston
Be sure to check out the video here:

As a new Aveeno Ambassador, I am looking forward to exploring the brand extensively and learning more about the products and their formulations. Aveeno fans, what are some of your favorite products from the brand? Anything in particular that I should try out? Or anything in particular that you are curious about and would love to see me review here on Pammy Blogs Beauty? Just let me know!

Red Carpet Manicure now has Professional Nail Lacquers!

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Did you know that Red Carpet, the brand famous for their at-home LED gel polish system, now has Professional Nail Lacquers? That is right, these polishes need no lamp to cure!

The collection’s shades range from whites and nudes to a variety of pinks, corals and blues.  Additionally, 18 shades in the collection are color-matched to Red Carpet Manicure’s LED gel polish line.

The Skinny:
  • Red Carpet Manicure Professional Nail Lacquers are now available at Ulta and http://redcarpetmanicure.com/
  • The Collection includes 52 shades as well as a base and top coat, each sold separately for $7.99
I really love the assortment of Red Carpet lacquers that I tried out from this collection! I tried the following shades: After Party Playful (my favorite! a light purplish pink creme), Glitz & Glamourous (a deep red with a slightly metallic sheen), My Secret Admireer (light pastel pink metallic), A-List Only (a gorgeous gold glitter: gives full coverage in 2 coats), and On Cloud 9 (sky blue creme).

I am in the midst of testing out Red Carpet's gel system. So, stay tuned for that review coming soon! Have you tried out Red Carpet's gel system or their new line of lacqures? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Introducing Fabletics: A Members only Shopping Site for Athletic Wear

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

Introducing Fabletics:
The folks behind JustFab just launched a brand new members-only site for Athletic wear: Fabletics!

What is the scoop? How does Fabletics work?
The idea here is just like JustFab: you join Fabletics as a member and have a monthly option to purchase. When you sign up, you get your first 2-3 piece outfit for $25.00. That is an amazing deal!!! Especially considering the fabulous quality of the items. I am being 100% serious when I say that this is the nicest activewear that I own (and I have items from the whole range of the activewear spectrum...from inexpensive Target and Old Navy stuff to Nike stuff...Fabletics is *better*!). $49.95 is the monthly member credit/fee. If you don't feel like spending that month, you simply opt to "skip the month" before the 11th. Even at $49.95, these items are a great deal for the amazing quality and number of pieces you get. Plus, I am a huge Kate Hudson fan and she is the celebrity spokesperson for the brand. :)
I am super excited about this new line! With a 2-month old at home, I am all about losing the last bit of my baby weight and getting fit! I find that I live in fitness wear at least 3-4 days a week. So, I want to look cute and put together doing it! This Fabletics line is just right up my alley for my everyday lifestyle and fitness-wear needs.

JustFab: March 2014 Selections!

 Affiliate Link/Referral Link Press Sample

It is time for my monthly JustFab review!

What is JustFab?
JustFab is an online fashion site and styling service. They offer trendy and affordable shoes, handbags, jewelry, jeans, and accessories to subscribers (called VIP members). When you sign up to become a VIP member,  you take a style quiz. Then JustFab pairs you with a stylist who creates a personalized online boutique for you to shop from. Almost everything on the site is $39.95!!! You will be charged a monthly fee (unless you elect to "skip a month" then you won't be charged) which gives you credit for one item. So, that is one monthly fee for one item (not an item plus an additional fee). Of course, you could always purchase more than one item a month. They seem to have a lot of 2 for/ $39.95 deals, too. So, you can almost always find a good sale!

Interested to hear more about the items that I got? Click "read more" below to hear more details about these items and see me wearing them! :)

New from Milani: Coming Up Roses Powder Blush

Affiliate Link Press Sample

Have you seen these gorgeous new Limited Edition Rose blushes from Milani??? If not, you must run, not walk, over to your local drugstore to check them out! They are absolutely beautiful!

As always, in terms of quality, Milani hits it out-of-the-park with the "Coming Up Roses Powder Blush" collection. These blushes are extremely vivid and highly pigmented. Milani has set the standard very high in terms of the type of quality and pigment that you can find in a drugstore blush. For those of you who like collecting Milani blushes like I do, you must pick these up!

As you can see from the pictures, the blushes themselves are beautiful. They have a larger pan size and have a rose embossed into the powder.

The powder formula is unique as well: Rose petals are actually micro-milled into the powder!!!

The Coming Up Roses Powder blushes come in 4 all-new and Limited Edition matte shades: #05 Coral Cove, #06 Lady Rouge, #07 Love Potion, and #08 Tea Rose.

To apply, I like to use a light hand and a stippling brush. Just the slightest touch of the brush to the powder will give you tons of color.

What gorgeous blushes!!! :)

Be sure to check out my Milani Blush Coming UP Roses Collection on Luvocracy! :)

NEW for Spring 2014 from Prestige: Total Intensity

 Affiliate Link Press Sample

Have you seen the new Total Intensity items from Prestige???

Prestige has expanded its "Total Intensity" line for Spring 2014! The line has expanded from duo-chrome shadows, eyeliners, and mascara to now include these new pressed eye shadows, eyeshadow crayons, lipstick crayons, and even a makeup remover.

If you are not familiar with the Total Intensity line, it is named for its intensely pigmented and long-wearing color. If you are all about products with very saturated pigments, you are going to need to scope out this line! The colors are rich and bold and yes...sooooo pigmented! Seriously, phenomenal quality not only for a drugstore line, but for makeup across the board!

  • Total Wear Eyeshadow Sticks: (retail for $9.50 each): remarkably lightweight, longwearing, sweat-proof, crease-proof and can also be used as eyeliner. As you would expect from this line, these Eyeshadow Sticks are very pigmented. Just a few swipes gives you full color. I tried the shades: Jungle War (metallic forest green), Desert Delusion (copper), and Meteorite (steel grey). These all have a shimmery metallic finish and are incredibly long wearing. I did not experience creasing when worn with a primer (note: I typically do not have trouble with eye products creasing). These are great worn either as a shadow or a liner.
  • Total Wear Lipstick Crayons: (retail for $9.50 each): a modern interpretation of a classic lipstick. In a single stroke, they pamper lips and deliver full coverage and ultra-luminous finish that won’t run or feather. I tried the shade "Wine Not?" which is a gorgeous deep true red with a metallic finish.
  • Total Intensity Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover: (retails for $7.95): enriched with green tea leaf extract to render anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and soothing benefits. If you are wearing intense long-wearing makeup, like this Total Intensity line, you are going to need a good makeup remover! This one works great and is gentle on my eyes. This remover is a clear oily liquid with a very soft and pleasant scent. I use it by either saturating a q-tip or dabbing some on a cotton round (depending on how much makeup I'm wearing) and wiping it over my eye makeup.

  • True Metal Eyeshadows: (retail for $9.75 each):
five highly pigmented creamy shadows made with naturally occurring metallic pigments that deliver a dramatic reflective finish. The additional five eyeshadows, Color Rush, use a breakthrough color-matrix technology that entraps pigments and provides a controlled and even release during application. The more a shadow is rubbed, the more pigment is released resulting in more color coverage. These eye shadows are extremely impressive! They are certainly high-end quality at a drugstore price. They pack a gorgeous and rich intensely pigmented metallic finish. I tried four shades: Makeup Your Mind (metallic olive), Bronze (metallic bronze), Out of the Blue (metallic medium blue), and Sterling (metallic silver). These really are so gorgeous! Now, ya'll know I am a neutrals girl. So, I am getting the most wear out of the silver and the bronze. If you love to experiment with vivid metallic colors, then you must scope out these shadows. Plus, I love the cool 3-d imprints they do on the shadows, too! Very cool!

The Skinny:

Here is the Core Prestige Total Intensity Line:

What items from this line do you have your eye on? If you love pigment, then you must try out the True Metal Eyeshadows! Me? I would love to try out those Eyeshadow trios! They look beautiful!

As always, thanks so much for reading!
XOXO!!!
