New from Algenist: Targeted Deep Wrinkle Minimizer

You may be thinking...hmm...you don't have wrinkles Pammy! Well, I don't *but* I do have some pesky deep expression lines on my forehead and some fine lines. They are really not that noticeable but they totally bug me! When I found out that this product fills existing lines while also preventing lines, I figured it was worth a try!

This gel product is a very concentrated serum that contains Algenist's key anti-aging ingredient: Alguronic Acid. It feels like a super thick makeup primer.

What is Alguronic Acid?
It is the newest and latest anti-aging skincare discovery! It was discovered in San Francisco by a team of biotechology scientists (working on microalgae-based renewable energy solutions). The discovery was accidental...and aren't we beauty nuts excited about this "accident"! Alguronic Acid is more effective than Retinol, Vitamin C, and Hyaluronic Acid! Wow, this is indeed very exciting news.

My Results:
While I can't evaluate the "deep wrinkle" claims, I can tell you that this product improved the look of my skin. I used this product like a super concentrated makeup primer. I apply it to my forehead line, the outer corner of my eye area, and around my smile. Makeup glides very smoothly on top of this product. My skin looks more "smoothed out" in these areas after application and makeup. Because of the consistency of this product, I can see how it would work on those with deeper wrinkles. The thick serum like feel has a bit of stick to help it stay put.

I find that I am really reaching for this when I want my makeup to look super nice and smooth! 

Only time will tell if this product has anti-aging benefits. Given the research behind Alguronic acid (see above), I feel like it is likely doing something beneficial. I know that is such a general claim but only very long-term testing will reveal if it works on deep wrinkles (and I don't have any yet...).
