Drugstore Haul: Summer 2012 Revlon Escapism Collection Cream Blushes

I am sure that I have said it many times on this blog: Nothing beats Revlon! I am rarely disappointed when I purchase a Revlon item. It is so hard to pick a true favorite brand for drugstore products. I just like so many items from a variety of different lines (e.g. Cover Girl Mascaras, Wet n' Wild Shadows, Rimmel Polish, Milani Blushes, Neutrogena Lip Balms, etc!). But, I must say that across the board, Revlon is one of the best brands! Revlon glosses and lipsticks are my absolute fave (drugstore or high end!).

I was so excited to see the display for the new limited edition Revlon Escapism Collection! I mean, OMG, cream blushes!!! Yes, I am a blush enthusiast (read: blush freak!). I find that there never seem to be enough options for drugstore cream blushes. So, I am thrilled to see another major brand come out with cream blush! I am not sure if these will become permanent line additions? Does anyone know? I would love to see Revlon expand on these and add more colors!!!

The Escapism Collection has a bronzer, cream blushes, lipgloss, eye shadow, mascara, and nail polishes. The whole collection looks amazing; but, the cream blushes are what drew me in! With that said, I might go back for that matte bronzer that I passed up on my haul.

The Blushes:
These blushes are just gorgeous! They feel almost like a gel-cream. They are not sticky at all and just glide right on your skin. They remind me somewhat of the texture of my beloved NYC Blushable Cream Sticks. They wear pretty well (about as good as any cream blush that I have) and are unscented.
Packaging:
I adore the packaging. It is so simple. Yet, so chic! These are little .44 oz clear acrylic screw top jars with black plastic lids. I love being able to see the product color through the packaging. They small enough (but not tiny either!) to be ideal for your purse or for travel.

The Shades and Price:
I purchased all 3 shades. These run for $12.99 each (ouch! Pricey I know). I was also lucky to stumble upon these during a BOGO 1/2 off sale (the only way to shop!). I also picked up some Revlon Colorstay Polish (one polish and the base and top coat...my review for those coming soon...still testing out the wear on the polish). At first I just got Pinched and Flushed as Coral Reef looks scary bright in the container. But, I ended up going back for Coral Reef and I am so glad that I did!

  • Pinched: This is a very sheer and slightly shimmery peachy pink. It is the least pigmented of the three.
  • Flushed: This is a nicely pigmented bright fuchsia. Perfect for the apples of your cheeks! Lovely!
  • Coral Reef: While I was scared of the bright color in the pot, this one ended up being my favorite of the three! Ya'll know how hot and on-trend corals and oranges are for this Summer, right? This blush is a must have for any lover or anyone seeking out the coral/orange Summer 2012 trend! This wears as a bright and pigmented coral. I really just need to apply a few touches of this and blend well. So pretty! I have a feeling that this blush is going to end up in my monthly favorites at least a couple times this summer!
I really love the texture, color selection, and pigmentation of these blushes. Here's to hoping that Revlon comes out with more of these!!! Are you planning on picking up anything from this collection?

Thanks for reading!
XOXO!!!

I was disappointed by Pinched...but the others looked amazing. Nice swatch photo.

@this passenger's element: Pinched has the least "oomph" for sure and it might not show up on darker skin tones...

I love these colors, but I can't use them because the silicone in them would break me out. :/
