LORAC Baked Matte Satin Blush: Plush (review)

Hey dolls!

As many of you know,  I am a total blush fanatic! There is just nothing like the power of a good blush to perk you up and brighten your complexion! As you fellow fair skinned girls know, wearing blush is crucial! ;)

How I stumbled upon this pretty blush:
While out shopping with a friend at Sephora, the makeup artist tried this on me. Wow! I probably would have never picked this out this color on my own. I tend to gravitate more towards the pink blushes, and was pleasantly surprised with how much I love wearing an orange-hued blush! So, needless to say...sold!

I mentioned this LORAC Baked Blush (Plush) in my March Star Products post and video and many of you requested wanting to hear a full review, so here it is!

For the review and swatches, please keep reading after the jump!

Wow! Where have LORAC blushes been all my life, lol! Seriously, this has become one of my all-time fav blushes! It seems to me that LORAC blushes might be underrated and deserving of some more attention!

First of all, let me state, unlike the name implies, this is *not* matte blush! This is a baked "dome" style blush with shimmer and sparkle. So, if you are looking for a true matte blush, this is not it!

See how orange it looks next to a true peach?
Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso vs. LORAC Baked in Plush
I thought these might be dupes
until I held them next to each other!
(P.S. Stay tuned for upcoming Milani Baked Blush reviews!)

In the pan, it looks like a peachy orange. When you hold it next to a true "peach" shade, it looks totally orange. This blush packs a lot of pigment. However, when you apply it, it is a lovely sheer peach color. This color is absolutely ideal for my porcelain complexion (MAC NC15 in Studio Fix and NARS Sheer Glow in Siberia for reference). It really lights up my face and gives me a glow. When I build up the color and apply heavily, it almost looks "bronze" on my uber-fair skin. No need for a highlighter with this blush as you are going to get enough shimmer from this product alone.

I totally adore this blush and have been reaching for this all the time! I have not made many LORAC purchases, but since I love this blush so much I am enticed to try more from this line! This blush totally gets a big rave from me!

Any other LORAC lovers out there? What do you like from this brand?

As always, thanks for reading and stay beautiful!
XOXO!
