Pammy Blogs Beauty now has a new Custom Domain Web Address!

Good morning my dear readers! Just a quick announcement that Pammy Blogs Beauty now has a new web address!

Pammy Blogs Beauty is now at www.pammyblogsbeauty.com

So, please be sure to change any bookmarks or links to my new address (edit, per Justine's comment below, you may not have to redo your links as blogger might redirect you, thanks Justine for letting me know!). :) I am very excited to now have a custom domain for my blog!!! I am hoping this will make it easier for new readers to find me. Also, the web address is shorter and easier to type! :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I know I am excited to go running today in this "Spring-like" weather!

XOXO! Stay beautiful!!!

Cool! Congrats! Now, when my friends ask me for a blog read recommendation, I can just say www.pammyblogsbeauty.com without having to say blogspot! :D

By the way, I've noticed a lot of bloggers having a custom domain, but don't know how it's done. Well.... How did you do it? If you prefer keeping it to yourself, I totally understand Pammy! :)

And congrats on the new address! :D

Hi Rizzie!!! Thank you!!! :) And, yes, I totally agree that the address is much more simple without the blogspot part. I just wanted to let all my readers know so that I didnt "lose" anyone! :) The old address should forward to the new one, but I am not sure how long the forwarding will work, etc. :)

I am happy to share how I got it! And, I must credit the lovely Shaylee over at Cosmetically Curious for giving me the idea as she got a custom domain as well a few weeks ago (and gave me some suggestions).

I purchased my domain name through GoDaddy.com. Then you go to your blog publishing settings and set up your new domain address. Honestly, it sounds simple, but I was up till 1:00 am last night trying to figure it out (as there is some code changing, etc that you have to do on GoDaddy)...but, thank GOD I finally got it to work!!! If you google how to change CNames or DNS for blogger, then you can get clear instructions.

I am just learning as I go with blogging! Thanks to the help from such sweet bloggers as Shaylee from Cosmetically Curious and Christine from 15MinBeauty!!! So, I am happy to pay it forward and pass on anything I learn!!! :)

XOXO!!!

No need to switch over, the old one should redirect to this new one and this one showed in my subscriptions. Good stuff! :)

I would make mine custom but my name is already taken at the .com so I'd have to change it to something else.

That'a amazing Pammy, congrats! I've been thinking about it too but I'm afraid I won't be able to keep up with my student budget )=

Hi Hollie! Thanks!!! :)

Hey Justine! Oh, great! Glad to hear that it switched over automatically!!! This tech stuff is all new to me, lol! For some reason I had to redo my blogroll as it got deleted in the transition. Too bad your name was already taken! Your blog has a *great* name! Sometimes I wish that I came up with something better than "Pammy Blogs Beauty" as I started this blog on a whim, without pre-thinking about a name. But, at this point I am keeping it as I plan to keep blogging for a LONG time! :)

Gaby-Hey girl! Oh, you should do it too! The prices totally range on GoDaddy and you could get one for very inexpensive (depending on if you choose a .com, .ca, .whatever...some are only like $3 a year).

XOXO to everyone! I am excited about having a new address!!! :)

Yay, congrats Pammy!!! It definitely makes it easier to reference your blog with the shorter name (heehee) and thank you for staying up till 1AM trying to figure it all out :)
