Update Your Shower Routine with Caress:

Nothing beats a great body wash from the drugstore with a fantastic scent and affordable price. Caress has an amazing lineup of bodywashes and beauty bars that fit your budget and that you can easily get at the drugstore, grocery store, or big box store.

This time of year, I really focus on bath and body products and skincare. When it is cold outside, a nice warm bath or shower is just the perfect way to start your day or pick you up. I have seriously enjoyed my showers with Caress lately! I have been working my way through an assortment of their scents and love both the rich lather and sophisticated scents as well as the softness of my skin after.

Next time you are shopping for body wash at the drugstore, be sure to check out the lineup from Caress! Not a body wash person? They have some amazing body bars, too! I actually always use both bar and body wash in my shower. I use a bar when I first get in the shower. Then I go about my shower routine with hair washing, shaving, etc....and then I finish up my shower with a body wash used all over. I feel that it is the best way to get the great scent and a final clean (rinishing of any residue of shampoo or conditioner on my body).

Fighting Late Summer Heat with Drugstore Products: Aussie, Secret, and Herbal Essences!

The heat is in full swing here in GA. It has been upwards of 95 degrees this past week! There is no question that extreme heat can create a challenge for staying fresh and clean! I need to combat the heat with products to keep me smelling fresh and keep my hair frizz-free. The good news is that there are a ton of drugstore products to achieve this goal! As much as I love my high end products, nothing beats a great drugstore find! For this post, I am going to talk with ya'll about some of my recent drugstore favorites for hair, body, and last...but not least...your underarms!

For Hair: Aussie:
It is so fun for me to re-visit Aussie products! This is a line that I have literally loved since middle school. Not only do the products smell absolutely amazing, but also they are incredibly good for your hair (while also being so affordable!).

Aussie Hair Insurance Leave-In Conditioner: 
This lightweight spray conditions your hair while detangling, hydrating, and smoothing. I like that I can liberally spray this in without it feeling greasy. I just squirt in after towel drying my hair and before adding hair serums and other styling products. I absolutely adore the scent! This is certainly not the most moisturizing nor most repairing leave-in that I have ever used. However, it works great as a detangler and does offer some lightweight conditioning benefits.

Aussie Moist 3-Minute Miracle Deeeeep Treatment:
I have been using versions of this deep conditioner since high school! This deep conditioner is so inexpensive; yet, it works so well (and smells amazing!). The Three Minute Miracle Collection now has five customized formulas specific to what your hair needs. I am currently using the Moist formula for hydration and softness. I love the results! My hair is beautifully detangled, shiny, managable, and soft after each use. I am almost guaranteed a "good hair day" when I use this. I must try all of these formulas! For Body: Herbal Essences:

Have you seen the body washes from Herbal Essences? I have long been obsessed with the scents of Herbal Essences products. I think I first fell in love with the scents of their hair products all the way back in High School! Well, now you can get those fabulous scents in body washes! The best thing about Herbal Essences scents and Body Washes is that the scent really lingers! My body wash assortment from Herbal Essences includes Hello Hydration (a fresh and tropical coconut), Body Burst (a refreshing citrus), and Honey I Smell Good (honey and apricot). Honestly, I don't know which I like best because they are all amazing. I am so obsessed with these scents! I guess if I had to pick a favorite, I would choose The Hello Hydration scent because I use the Hello Hydration shampoo on my daughter. So the scent reminds me of her! :) By-the-way, the Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner work great for keeping her hair super shiny, manageable, and smelling great all day!

For Underarms: Secret:
In the late-summer Georgia heat, I need to use the strongest underarm protection that I can find! I have used and trusted Secret deodorant/anti-antiperspirants for years! Secret was literally the first deodorant that I ever tried and I rarely stray. What can I say? I just don't want to smell and their deodorant/anti-antiperspirants really work for me. Their Clinical Strength line is amazing! They have a new Clinical Strength formula with Adapts & Responds technology. This means that the product can change and adapt to your sweat vitals. Your body goes through ups and downs all day. This means that your sweat and odor protection needs are constantly changing. It works by fighting odor causing bacteria, reducing sweat, and releasing fragrance. It is available in a Clear Gel, Invisible Solid, and Smooth Solid form.

Fab Fast Friday: Aveeno's Positively Nourishing Calming Body Wash & Body Lotion

It is time for another edition of Fab Fast Friday! Fab Fast Friday is my "quickie" review series where I basically just let you guys know what I am using and loving lately. :) It is my way to give you the skinny scoop on some really awesome products! 

This week I am going to share with you a couple of my favorite shower and post-shower items: Aveeno's Positively Nourising Calming Body Wash & Body Lotion. 

As an Aveeno Ambassador, I am having such a great time exploring this brand! I feel like Aveeno is a great fit for my skin type: I have very sensitive skin...and these products are just so gentle and soothing! I honestly have yet to meet an Aveeno product that has not worked for my skin.

Aveeno's Positively Nourishing Calming Body Wash and Body Lotion is formulated with Lavender and Chamomile. If you are not a fan of lavender, don't let that scare you off. These products do not have a typical lavender smell. These Positively Nourishing Calming formula products actually have quite a lovely and fresh soft fragrance (I think there is a hint of lavender...but, mostly it just smells "clean" to me).

I like using the Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Body Wash on a body pouf in the shower. It cleanses my skin gently without over-drying or leaving my skin feeling stripped. My skin is just left feeling clean and soft. It works into a nice lather and rinses clean. My husband tends to use my shower products and has mentioned that he is a fan of this Body Wash, too! After my shower, I towel dry and then apply Aveeno's Positively Nourishing Calming Body Lotion. I apply this pretty much from the neck down: my arms, legs, torso, feet, etc! The scent certainly is soothing! The Body Lotion is thick and rich without being sticky or greasy. I massage it into my skin and it quickly absorbs. 

Have you tried this formula of Aveeno's Positively Nourishing products? What did you think? Even though I tried the "calming" formula, I must note that these are not just products for evening showers! I actually use them in the morning after my morning shower. There is also an "Energizing" formulation that I would love to try next (grapefruit and pomegranate). Has anyone tried that? How do you like it?

LUSH Store Tour and Discovering the Best LUSH Products for Pregnancy Pampering!

Are you looking for a fun shopping experience? Do you have a LUSH store or a LUSH department (in a Macy's) near you? I highly recommend stopping into your nearest LUSH location to experience all that the store has to offer! Recently, I toured the LUSH "Mall of Georgia" store location. What a fun experience! Not only was that particular trip fun, but also I should mention that I enjoy exploring LUSH products every time I step into a LUSH store or LUSH store department.

For my LUSH store tour, I had one purpose in mind: Pregnancy Pampering!!! As many of you know, pregnancy can be flat out exhausting.Your legs are aching, your skin is stretching, your skin type and hair type may have changed, and you basically can just feel achy, bloated, and tired. Plus, you can't use many of your usual standbys for oily skin and breakouts (no benzol peroxide nor retinol while pregnant) and body aches (Advil is another no-no). Whenever I complain to my OB about fatigue and aches...what does he recommend??? A bath!!! So, what is a girl to do? Me? I headed right to my very favorite bath and body store...LUSH!

So, I basically got the "pregnancy tour"! :) The LUSH Mall of Georgia's Curtis gave me a really fabulous tour and experience. There is no question that he is not only knowledgeable, but also passionate about LUSH products! His enthusiasm was contagious and I had a lot of fun discovering all that LUSH had to offer a tired preggie like me. :)

While I heard about and smelled items in almost all of the stores categories, I am going to focus a bit more on the items that I ended up taking home (otherwise this post would be WAY too long, lol!). There is no question. When it comes to beauty pampering, LUSH has you totally covered!
