You guys know that I am all about my essential oils, right? Well, I am always on the look out for great essential oil remedies. Recently, I tried these roll-ons from Oilogic and I just love them! My exploration of CBD products continues with CBD Living. Yes, CBD is everywhere now. The loosening of regulations has allowed CBD products to be much more readily available to consumers throughout the country.  I am so glad that CBD is having an upward trend as I think that cannabis is an untapped resource for healing and overall health. 

Not only is CBD is also popping up for healthcare, but also in skincare and beauty products!  No surprise here! CBD is a powerhouse ingredient and it can do so much for your skin (from the inside out!). So, when CBD living asked if I wanted to try a few products, I of course said yes! I have leared to look for a few things when it comes to CBD. I look for companies that use 3rd party testing and are transparent with their testing results. I also look for brands that use full spectrum CBD. 

CBD and Skincare:

CBD (also known as cannabidiol) oil is the non-psychotropic component of marijuana. Note that CBD will not get you "high". CBD oil does not have the mind-altering properties of marijuana’s tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). CBD and THC are sourced from two different parts of the marijuana plant. CBD has gained a lot of popularity lately in the world of skincare. Not only is it known for relieving aches and pains when applied topically, but also it is promising in skincare products for its benefits. I do believe that topical application of CBD can be effective. Only recently have I discovered the benfits of transdermal therapies. According to CBD Living, this product contains 250mg of nan0-CBD for maximum absorption. I decided to try the unscented version of this product but it also comes in Eucalyptus and Lavender. This lotion is a great 2-in-1 product as it gives you a dose of CBD while also treating your dry skin. I like using this lotion at the end of my day as part of my relaxing bedtime routine. It works great! Retails for $40.00 for 16 oz.

CBD Living | Bath Bomb:
I love using bath bombs! They are the ultimate bath treat. Sometimes I feel "too tired" for a nice bath. However, I find that if I have fun bath treats, like bath bombs, on hand, then I am more easily lured into the tub. This bath bomb is even more fantastic because of the CBD content! Each CBD Lavender Bath Bomb contains 60mg of nano-CBD for maximum absorption. I tried the Lavender scent as I find lavender particularly relaxing and sleep-inducing for bedtime. There is no question, I had a great night's sleep after taking a bath with this bath bomb. These bath bombs come in 4 scents. I really want to get more as they are a one-time use product and I would love to have some on hand! Perfect for when you need extra sleep or when you are sore from a workout or not feeling well. CBD Living | Soap:
This is a gentle natural soap with hemp and CBD. There is 60mg of nano-CBD is mixed with each 4.5 oz bar. Now, with any soap, I am not sure how much of that CBD will remain on your skin or be absorbed as soap gets rinsed off and doesn't stay on contact with the skin for long. With that said, this is a nice gentle soap. So, I do like it! However, I am not sure how much CBD my system is getting from it. These soaps come in a variety of scents and retial for $14.00 each.

Overall, I am extremely pleased with my CBD products from CBD Living! I would love to purchase the CBD Living Lotion again as well as some more bath boms. How I Use:
I like using Antioxidant products in the morning as they work preventatively against free-radical damage and sun exposure damage. So, they work well into my morning routine underneath sunscreen.

I start with the C-Effects™ Super- C™ Cleanser. After rinsing, I apply the C-Effects™ Super-C™ Toner by misting my hands and then patting it onto my skin gently. Then I apply one pump of the C-Effects™ Lotion. I follow this up with application of sunscreen. The C-Effects™have a very pleasent light orange scent. Have you explored natural deodorants? As much as I love the odor and wetness protection that I get from my traditional aluminum-based favorite deodorants like Secret, Degree, and Dove, every once in awhile I do like to explore natural deodorant options. Why? Well, there is certainly some information out there that there could potentially be some risks with using aluminum-based deodorants. As far as I know, there is no conclusive evidence of traditional deodorants causing disease. I do not believe that we absorb enough of the aluminum to cause a problem. However, I do believe that aluminum-based deodorants overly disrupt the natural bacteria balance under your arms. While I love the odor protection, I do sometimes question if I should be using something more natural.

So, what is a girl to do? I certainly don't want to "smell"...and I do tend to really need deodorants to fight this. What I am currently trying to do is to use a natural deodorant a few days a week to give my skin a few "off days" from the aluminum-based deodorants. I tend to pick those days based on my schedule and if I am just going to be around the house, etc. If I am working, or have a special occasion, or if I am working out, I am certainly going to need the odor protection of something stronger. However, on "easy" home days, natural deodorants are the way to go!

My Skin:

I have to be super careful with my skincare so that I do not aggrivate my sensitive skin nor cause breakouts from using products that are too harsh or too rich.  This is tricky as many anti-aging skincare products do contain harsher ingredients and I love the feel of rich creams but can't always use them.

This hydrating toner is an absolute joy to use. I must admit, I am a big fan of toners to begin with. I always spritz one one my hands after washing my face and then I pat it to my face gently with my hands. I feel this is such a great way to get instant hydration back into your skin after washing. Plus, I really enjoy the refreshing feel of applying it. This formula by FarmHouse Fresh works to minimizes pores with its natural fiter effect and also works to boost moisture content. I try to use a Retinol product almost every evening for age prevention. So, I am always curious to try out new Retinols. This Three Milk Ageless Night Cream intrigued me immediately as it promised to be super gentle. This is a good thing when it comes to Retinols and my skin as my skin can get very irritated with Retinol treatment if I am not careful. 

I do, indeed, find this to be a very gentle and easily tolerated Retinol. I am able to use it almost every night without irritation. The key is that this formula is super duper moisturizing. It literally leaves what feels like a film on your skin at night which locks in the hydration and the active ingredients so that they can go to work on your skin over night. I was able to use this formula without irritation. I like how hyrdated and soft my skin feels in the mornings after using this at night. Yes, it does leave a super thick heavy film on your skin. So, that takes getting used to. However, the results are nice. I did get a few clogged pores and minor breakouts initially. However, my skin did seem to overall tolerate this cream. 

Three Milk Ageless Night Cream contains 3 botanical milks (milk thistle, milk vetch, coconut milk), retinol and advanced peptides to firm, hydrate and transform the skin by morning. It uses a time-release delivery system of pure-form retinol for long-term targeted anti-aging benefits. Time release formulas are very beneficial as the time release really helps to minimize irritation.

As ya'll may know, I am very into essential oils. In addition, I have a passion for skincare. After all, my search for the very best skincare for my skin type is what let me to blogging in the first place. Tu’el has a variety of formulations based on your skin type and skincare concerns. I have combination skin that is somewhat breakout prone and prone to irritation. So, I opted to try out a combination of products for Combo/Oily skin and Reactive skin types. 

Tu’el has a very natural and gentle approach to skincare. The products are designed to clean, soothe, and treat your skin in a gentle and effective natural way. 

Tu’el Deep Pore Cleansing System | Balancing Act Cleansing Oil + Herbal Toner:

If you only try one product from Tu’el, then I would recommend choosing a Deep Cleansing System based on your skin type. This is just such a *different* way to cleanse your face! Toss out all of your pre-conceived notions about how you should cleanse. This is a completely different and unique method. This kit is a combination of a cleansing oil and a toner that work synergistically together to give your skin a super great cleanse.

Tu’el Calm Down Essential Oil for Reactive Skin:

This essential oil blend was specifically designed for reactive skin to reduce inflammation, strengthen and regenerate cells, and stimulate healing without irritating your skin. I am so amazed overall with the power of essential oils and am just starting to experiment with using them in facial skincare. I have been using essential oils for over a year now for bath and body products, inhalers, and home diffusing. So, it is a natural next step for me to experiment with using essential oils within my facial skincare routine. 

The Calm Down Essential Oil is a blend of Geranium, Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Frankincense essential oils in a grapeseed oil base. So, this is not pure essential oils but essential oils diluted in a base. I know from my essential oil research that Frankincense and Lavender are two of the best oils for me to use for my skin type. So, I am super excited to have this oil on hand for my skin! 

Tu’el recommends adding a few drops in your hands and then apply directly to your face. I either apply this way or add a few drops to my moisturizer and use it that way. I find this oil to be so gentle, soothing, and healing to my skin. I just feel like I get that extra bit of glow in my skin from using it. It is very concentrated. So, just a few drops is all you need for a great impact on your skin. It pairs beautifully with the Special Delivery Night Cream as the last step in my skincare routine. 

The Calm Down Essential Oil blend retails for $32.00. 

Tu’el Special Delivery Night Cream for Combo/Oily Skin:

This is such a lovely night cream and an awesome final step in my skincare routine. Years ago, I used to skip moisturizer thinking, "why moisturize oily skin?". Well, it is actually really important to moisturize combo/oily skin. My skin still needs hydration and moisture even though I do have some oily areas in my t-zone. This moisturizer contains Silk Amino Acids, Lavender, Panthenol and Vitamin E moisturize while reducing irritation and revealing a softer texture. I absolutely love the soothing Lavender scent. It is perfect for bedtime. I always diffuse Lavender in my room at night. So, just smelling it in this product soothes me! 

As I mentioned above, I do sometimes add a boost to this moisturizer by adding in a few drops of the Calm Down Essential Oil blend before applying it to my skin.

This Cream has helped to give my skin a moisture boost and I always wake up feeling like my skin is smooth and hydrated from using this cream at night.

Overall, I am extremely impressed with Tu’el skincare! Using it has really helped to soothe and soften my skin while adding moisture.

Before going any further into this review, let me tell you a little bit more about my skin. I have classic combination skin that fluxuates between being normal to normal-oily in the t-zone area. My skin is also prone to sensitivity. Generally, I have clear skin. However, I do tend to get the occasional breakout in the t-zone area (mostly my chin, but also occasionally by my nose). In addition, my pores get clogged easily.

Keeva Tea Tree Oil Acne Treatment Cream:
This product is a moisturizing cream with tea tree oil and other ingredients. Tea Tree oil is an essential oil that has literally been used for thousands of years to treat skin conditions. Tea Tree oil is a natural disinfectant that has a remarkable ability to fight and treat acne. The tea tree oil used in the Keeva Tea Tree Oil Acne treatment cream is obtained by a thorough steam distillation of the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. While there is tea tree in this product, I can't really smell it in the product. The product smells more of menthol than tea tree. So, if you are sensitive to menthol, do know that it is in the product (although it is almost last on the ingredients list). Other ingredients include, but are not limited to: Shea Butter, Rosehip Seed Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Olive Oil, Extracts of White Willow, Milk Thistle, Salicylic Acid, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil, and Hyaluronic Acid. So, you can see that this product is full of wonderful skin-loving ingredients!

The Keeva Tea Tree Oil Acne Treatment Cream has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well as disinfecting and soothing properties from its natural ingredients.
