Have you seen this gorgeous new Fall 2014 Collection from tarte? Inspired by the Amazon at dark, this collection has everything you need for a complete look that can go from subtle to sultry depending on how you apply.
I was able to try out a few items from this new collection: the LipSurgence Lip Gloss in Envy, the Best in Faux Lash Lash Extending Fibers, and the Amazonian Clay Dual Liner. To find out how I liked these products and more details about this new collection, please click "read more" below!
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful packaging of most of this collection? There is no question that this collection is going for the glam and sultry vibe. With gold accents and a "charming" python, these items exude a sexy vibe. You just have to see it in person. So pretty!
I have long been a fan of tarte's LipSurgence Lip Glosses. The formula is amazing: they are ultra hydrating while saturating the lips in shine and pigment. I really enjoy both the look and feel of these glosses. They are so comfortable to wear on my generally dry lips! The shade Envy really is perfect for Fall. It is darker than my usual pink lip. I always like going a bit deeper in color for Fall and Winter. I particularly like the "spoon-like" dip in the tip of the doe foot applicator of this lipgloss wand. It really is useful for application!
tarte’s LipSurgence™ lip
glosses offer hybrid benefits of a lip tint in a high-performance, glossy formula.
The antioxidant-rich formula helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles while moisturizing dry lips for an enviable “plumped-up” appearance that lasts.
Retails for $19.00.
What a cool concept: two liner shades housed in one pot! This pot contains both a classic black shade and a bronze shade. I love the ease of having two shades in one pot. You can either wear them together or just enjoy saving space when you are packing for a trip with one eyeliner pot!
I really like the ease-of-use with this product. It is super easy to apply this gel liner. I use a small eyeliner brush (I used my Bobbi Brown liner brush). The formula is creamy and easy to apply. Plus, I get super long wear with this, too! The black shade is classic and is fabulous for creating a winged liner look. This is my go-to for "going out". I also love how the bronze shade accents my blue eyes. For everyday looks, I prefer wearing the Bronze shade which, on me, is dark enough to look bold! :)
tarte’s cult classic black
Amazonian clay eyeliner is perfectly paired with a brilliant bronze shade for a versatile, luminous stare in
limited-edition packaging accented by “charming,”
gold python accents. The best-selling, creamy formula gently glides across lids to
achieve the crisp definition and longwear of a liquid liner while
leaving a soft, velvet finish that’s
easily smudgeable for bold, blended looks. The Amazonian clay
keeps surface oil at bay, nourishes and improves lids’ overall texture and locks intense pigment in place for budge proof perfection
that lasts.

This set includes everything you need for a total "fake lash look" without false lashes! I am talking mega lashes!!! I am so impressed with this system. The Best in Faux kit includes the Best in Faux Lash Extending Fibers as well as a mini Lights Camera Lashes Mascara (which I also love!). The systems is super easy to use (see pictorial below). I simply apply mascara, coat lashes with lash fibers, seal in fibers with additional coat of mascara. So easy! The fibers are black. So, they blend in beautifully and you don't have to worry about trying to cover them with additional mascara (other lash fiber formulas I have used in the past are white. So, I really appreciate the black fibers!).
I seriously love this system! As someone with very short and sparse lashes (who doesn't enjoy applying falsies), this is the best way for me to get a dramatic lash look.

Have you had a chance to scope out this new Rainforest After Dark Collection from tarte? What are you thinking of getting? I know that besides the items that I tried, I am super curious about the gorgeous Rainforest After Dark palette (swoon!), the Colored Clay CC Eye Primer, and the Colored Clay CC Under Eye Corrector (I am plagued with terrible darn dark circles!).
