"Beat the Heat" with Icy Cools and LIFT LAB: Review and Giveaway!!!

Do you need a break from the heat? Get some refreshment with Lift Lab's Lift & Fix and Icy Cools!!! :)

With temperatures soaring into the 80s, we’re already feeling the heat—and redoubling our efforts to protect our skin against the forces of nature.  During the long, hot summer exposure to harmful UV rays, intense heat and wind can result in inflammation, causing damage that can step up the skin’s natural aging process. To reinforce the protection of your sunscreen and counteract the damaging effects of UV exposure après-sun, start with a pump or two of LIFTLAB LIFT & FIX™ High Potency Solution after cleansing—all the more cooling, refreshing and effective when chilled in the fridge!

Lightweight and highly concentrated, this breakthrough treatment is formulated to strengthen the skin’s barrier to help heal redness and sensitivity as it helps to protect against other environmental aggressors such as smog and pollution.  Applied icy cold after sun exposure,
LIFTLAB LIFT & FIX™ also calms irritation, offers redness relief and enhances healing.  Anti-redness ingredients in this high-tech anti-inflammatory formula include Abyssine 657, NAB Arnica Extract and Sym Glucan. Osilift provides instant firming action.

To find out more about how I like LIFTLAB's Lift & Fix and Icy Cools's White Ice, please keep reading. The Giveaway entry form is at the end of the post. Click "read more" below!

Like all products in the luxury anti-aging  LIFTLAB Skin Regeneration collection, LIFT & FIX™ is powered with patented Cell Protection Proteins® (CPP™) to  protect against the skin-damaging inflammation caused by exposure to the elements. Exclusive to LIFTLAB, Cell Protection Proteins® were first discovered in the Arctic as the secret to survival and health in plants and marine life that thrive in harsh sub-zero conditions. How effective is it in helping to heal redness? Clinical trials show that CPP™ applied before sun exposure reduces redness and irritation caused by UV rays by 95% within 72 hours.* Good news in case you forget to reapply your sunscreen! CPP™ is also clinically proven to not only protect cells and counteract inflammation; they also balance skin’s moisture level—critical to keeping the skin’s protective barrier function intact—and boost your skin’s natural cell regeneration process to encourage long term optimal cell renewal. In short, everything you need for skin that not only looks visibly younger, but behaves younger too.

Lift & Fix is a clear and somewhat running gel-like substance. It has a very light and pleasant "spa like" scent (somewhat medicinal?). The texture of the product reminds me a bit of aloe (a more liquid version) as it has the same slight stickiness and slickness. The product feels very nice and soothing on the skin!

I love the idea of a product that acts as a "booster"! Lift & Fix not only boosts your skins hydration, but also it helps counteract irritation from sun exposure and skincare treatments and treatment products. So, layering this product before your sunscreens and using it before and after your skincare treatments can actually produce better results! As someone with sensitive skin, I love this concept!!!

From what I understand about the science behind LIFTLAB's products, Lift & Fix not only feels great on your skin but also it really does work!!! The active ingredient is a protein that helps with the elasticity of connective tissue. The protein repairs and protects your skin. It also contains ingredients to reduce redness and to increase moisture.

How I use:
As the brand suggests, keeping Lift & Fix in the fridge makes it extra refreshing to use! However, often I forget to use skincare products that I keep in the fridge (I have to lol at myself as sometimes if an item is not sitting right on my bathroom counter I forget to use it!). So, while it feels lovely to apply when kept in the fridge, I keep mine in the bathroom for convenience.

After I cleanse my face with a gentle cleanser, I apply Lift & Fix all over my face. I just apply with my fingertips and then massage the product until it absorbs. I use in the mornings and evenings. In the morning, I follow with sunscreen. In the evenings, I follow it with my skincare treatments or treatment products.

My Results:
I have had some nice results with Lift & Fix! My skin seems more hydrated and feels smooth and plumped. I have also noticed a slight reduction in redness (I am typically a bit red around my nose and on my chin). I am really pleased with my Lift & Fix results!

The Skinny on LIFTLAB's Lift & Fix:
  • Available at LIFTLAB's website
  • Retails for $95 for 3.4 oz. Yes, it is expensive! However, you only need a small amount of product. So, a 3.4 oz bottle should last you awhile. :)
Icy Cools WHITE ICE:
These reusable ice cubes filled with purified water deliver the chilling power of ice without diluting your favorite frosty beverage. Now you have two unbeatable ways to beat the heat. Chill LIFT & FIX™ to enhance its soothing redness relief benefits for your skin. And enjoy Icy-Cools’ WHITE ICE™ to keep your drinks icy cool from first sip to last drop.

The Icy Cools are fun to use and are just perfect for summer! Personally, I just hate it when ice melts too much and dilutes your drink! Icy Cools WHITE ICE really are the perfect solution to that dilemma! They come in an adorable reusable acrylic cup (with a lid) that you can pop right into the freezer!

I have naturally curly hair and I like to straighten it but in the summer months it's pointless. I tend to do curly styles during the summer and humid weather.
