Do you struggle with dry skin? Do you have skin conditions like Eczema? Well, Dove Derma Series just might be for you! While I do not have Eczema, I do have chronic dry skin and my son has Eczema. So, I like to keep Eczema-friendly products around the house that are super nourishing for dry skin. 

My problem area is certainly my hands. In my occupation as a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, I was my hands a lot for germ protection. So, keeping them moisturized with good products is a must! My other problem areas include my cuticles, elbows, feet, and heels. The winter is particularly harsh on my dry skin. My hands get flaky and my feet get so dry that they sometimes even crack (I know, ewh!). Plus, dry skin is just unconfortable and itchy. Nothing beats a great moisturizer to combat this! I am always diligent. However, during the winter I need to take some extra measures. That is where a line like the Dove Derma Series comes into play. It was especially formulated for extra dry and problematic skin (like Eczema-prone skin). So, it is extra moisturizing and extra soothing for your super dry skin. 

The products that I have been trying out from Dove Derma Series are the Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion, The Dry Skin Relief Expert Repairing Balm, and the Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Hand Cream. So far, I must say, these products are a hit! Their super moisturizing formula is just what my skin needs to repair, feel soft, and for aleviation of itching and peeling/cracked skin. 

Now, I don't always use fragrance free products; but, honestly, I should. I know that they are better for my skin. So, I just need to keep those options on-hand at all times anyways. I am happy to see that the Dove Derma Series is recognized by the National Eczema Association. So, I know these are products that I can trust to use with my son. I tend to always choose fragrance free products when a line offers a fragrance free version of a popular product. I honestly wish more brands would do this! Sorry for the tangent, but honestly...fragrance free is much better for your skin!

Dove Derma Series Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion:

I slather my body completely with body lotion or body butter after every shower or bath. I recently switched to using this Dove Derma Series Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Body Lotion and I am so pleased with the results! It has a thin consistancy. However, it is still super moisturizing. It is super easy to spread across your skin. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I do like that it is light and non-sticky for quick morning applications after my showers. This lotion can work to repair the skin barrier while adding moisture. This product has really calmed my dry skin and has worked to heal dry patches. I totally love this product! I think that I would like to try the Body Cream next for night time application after night showers. However, for the mornings, this is perfect! :) 

Dove Derma Series Dry Skin Relief Expert Repairing Balm:
This might just be my favorite product from the line. This super versatile balm is perfect for my super dry and cracked areas like my heels, feet, cuticles, and elbows. This product is a super thick petrolatum jelly blend balm. It is surprisingly non-greasy and non-sticky. I like to slather this product on my feet at night and then put on cotton socks. This process competely heals my super dry and cracked skin and leaves it feeling super soft! This product is also amazing as a cuticle treatment/moisturizer. I just keep this tub right on my night stand for application to my feet and cuticles right before bed. Works like a dream!!! This product is so effective that it is recognized by the National Psoriasis Foundation as suitable for psoriasis-prone skin. Plus, it is an Allure Best of Beauty Awards 2018 winner! I totally recommend this product. Seriously, if you only try one product from this line, it should be this one! :) 

Dove Derma Series Dry Skin Relief Replenishing Hand Cream:
This hand cream is amazing! I love carrying hand cream with me in my handbag or work bag for frequent reapplication during the day. The key ingredient in this hand cream is glycerin which really locks in the moisture. This hand cream is both mild and moisturizing. I love that it is fragrance free (unlike most hand creams). This way its focus is just to replenish and repair without irritation. It leaves a wonderful barrier on your skin that really protects while sealing in the skin's moisture.

I totally recommend the Dove Derma Series for your sensitive, problematic, or Winter-dry skin! It sure has helped to heal and soothe my skin. So, I have to give a shout out today to one of my new favorite deoderants: Dove Clinical Protection. 

I tend to vary widely with my deoderant selections and types of deoderants that I use. This tends to vary depending on what season, what type of day I have, and what my demands will be for deoderant on that particular day. If I don't have much going on, I might opt for a natural deoderant. However, if I am working out or have a stressful work day ahead, I want a stronger deoderant that will really work for me. 

In the past, clinical strength deoderants have been somewhat irritating to my skin. They work great for wetness and oder, but sometimes I get a rash if I use them too frequently. So, I was thrilled when I saw that Dove makes a clincial strength deoderant! I am already a fan of Dove's "regular" deoderants. So, I was super excited to give this a try. 

Dove is a brand that I have used and trusted for years. I really do trust that Dove is gentle and effective and moisturizing. So, I like the idea that Dove moisturizers are in this Clinical Strength Deoderant!

I tried out Dove Clinical Protection in the Cool Essentials scent. The cucumber/green tea scent is very fresh and clean and pleasant. The product is a cream and it pops up from holes in the applicator. I do find this to feel wet at first until the product dries down. You need to let the product dry before putting on your clothes. When I rush to get ready, the formula does get on your clothes (but that is because I am rushing). 

The verdict? I love it! Dove Clinical Protection is extremely effective for wetness and odor. It gives amazing and long lasting protection...even on those stressful days or that time of the month when I am more prone to wetness and odor. The bonus? Dove Clinical does not irritate my skin. I am so excited about my opportunity to talk about my Most Repurchased Skinare Products for this Beauty Spotlight Team special feature! Every two weeks, a Beauty Spotlight Team member is writing a post that features their most repurchased products. As I started thinking and pre-planning for my post, I realized that my most repurchased product were, hands-down, skincare items. 

Why Repurchase Skincare Products?

Hmm...so, why is it that I seem to repurchase skincare items more than other product categories? Well, first of all, I think that I am extremely loyal to skincare items that I love. If something works for my sensitive and somewhat tempermental skin then it is obviously a keeper and something I do not want to be without! So, I believe I am very consistant and loyal with my skincare products. I mean, sure, I love to try new things. After all, I am a beauty blogger with a skincare focus! However, I always come back to my beloved favorites and repurchase them over and over again. I even often have back ups waiting in the wings for when my items run out. 

My Skin:

Before diving into my Most Repurchased Skincare items, let me give you the low-down on my skin. I am in my early 40s and I have combination skin. So, anti-aging products are certainly must haves! I am lucky in that I only have very minor signs of aging: just some fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead that are honestly only apparent when my skin is a bit dehydrated. However, I am seriously interested in age prevention! Also, my skin is somewhat sensitive. So, I am looking for effective products that do not cause any sensitivity reactions. In addition, I am somewhat prone to breakouts in my t-zone area.

When Spring Break rolls around, the weather change means it is time to bare the arms and legs...but, I am *so pale* this time of year! Don't get me wrong, I embrace my pale...however, a light dusting of a bronzer or a subtle self-tan does give me a little confidence boost when wearing shorts, capris, and sleeveless or more bare tops! An easy way to get quick color? Just take a huge powder brush and dust an inexpensive bronzer like Sun Club from essence all over! This matte bronzer comes in two shades: blondes and brunettes. • Topganic | Brazilian Nut Oil Keratin Protein Intensive Repair Hair Mask: Warm weather brings the humidity and the sun...both of which can wreak havoc on my long highlighted hair. While it is finally Spring, my skin is still super dry from this harsh Winter weather we have had these past few months. However, with the warmer weather, I am starting to bare my arms and legs and need them to be moisturized and in good condition. So, I am looking to super-hydrating soaps, body washes, and moisturizers to get my skin set for Spring weather and Spring clothes!
