Have you seen some of the latest new products from COVERGIRL? There is no question that COVERGIRL is one of my go-to drugstore brands. It is a brand that I have used and trusted ever since I started wearing makeup as a teenager! I am always excited to see and try new products from COVERGIRL!!! This new lineup of products is no exception. COVERGIRL has some really fabulous new products and even a new numbering system for their classic shades (as well as new shades, too!).
For this review, I tried out an assortment of items from COVERGIRL's expanded TruBlend Collection (COVERGIRL TruBlend Liquid Makeup , COVERGIRL TruBlend FixStick, and COVERGIRL TruMagic Products) as well as a few of COVERGIRL's Outlast nail glosses and a couple Bombshell shineshadows. Please click "read more" below to find out more about how I liked these fun new products from COVERGIRL! :)

COVERGIRL's TruBlend Shade Expansion:
COVERGIRL has new shades and a new numbering system for their TruBlend liquid makeup!

Find your shade: Check out this tool from COVERGIRL's website. It displays the new numbering as well as the old numbering and shade names. As you can see, there is quite the selection of new shades...and the numbering is totally different. I tried out the shades l2 (Classic Ivory) and m1 (Natural Beige). While l2 Classic Ivory is very close to my shade, I think that I might actually be somewhere between the l2 and l1 shade (the former Ivory, 405).

I like this feel of this foundation. It is on the light side. So, you are not going to get a ton of coverage. However, you can build the coverage up to a sheer medium. So, I wear this foundation all over my face and use concealer to cover redness around nose and dark under eye circles. I consider this to be a good "everyday" foundation. It did not settle into my fine lines nor pores. I am pleased with the light feel and natural look of this foundation.

COVERGIRL's TruBlend liquid makeup is available in 21 shades in Light, Medium, and Deep color families. I find the new numbering system to be very user friendly! Plus, there are now more medium and deep shades to match even more skintones. It is nice to have this many shade options available from a drugstore range.

COVERGIRL TruBlend FIXSTICK Concealer:
I am always looking for a good concealer. Literally, I am. I tend to search for three different types of concealer: Heavy Duty Coverage (yet creamy and blendable) for my dark under eye area, Corrective Concealers with color-cancellation properties, and Medium Coverage Concealers that don't break me out (for the redness on my chin and around my nose: my breakout prone area). This COVERGIRL TruBlend FIXSTICK falls beautifully into the final concealer category: a great medium coverage concealer that does not break me out!

I am a huge fan of the chubby stick packaging. I love the ease of a stick concealer. I literally just swipe it on where I want it and then blend it out with my fingers. It is so easy! I tend to apply it after my foundation on any spots that just need a bit more coverage. So, typically, I swipe it around my nose and sometimes on my chin, too.

The shade Light works great with my skintone (yay!). There are 6 shades available in light, medium, and dark color families.
COVERGIRL TruMagic Collection:
What interesting twists on makeup primers! COVERGIRL's new TruMagic Collection is an assortment of makeup primers that can be worn under or over makeup or even alone to perfect the skin. They come in three formulas: The Perfector (clear, matte finish), The Sunkisser (bronze, touch of sun), and the Luminizer (golden, luminous highlights).

When I first saw these, the Perfector formula reminded me immediately of Mally's Face Defender. How nice to now have a drugstore version of this type of product! The texture is slightly different. However, it is the same concept.

While these can be applied over or under makeup, I find that I do like to apply them a certain way. I like the Perfector best under makeup (so you don't risk smudging your makeup after application) and the Sunkisser and Luminizer best dabbed lightly over makeup to give a touch of bronze or luminious finish. The Sunkisser's color is pretty sheer and a little bit orange of me. So, I need to apply very lightly. It does give a tanned look. The luminizer is pretty glittery. So, I apply very very sparingly in order to not look too glittery. Just a very light touch on top of the cheekbones. I would not apply either the Sunkisser nor the Luminizer as primers as I prefer these as highlighting/bronzing products...not for full face priming.
COVERGIRL Bombshell ShineShadow by LashBlast:
These shiny and shimmery cream shadows by COVERGIRL are gorgeous! As a true lover of the ease of a cream shadow, I am all about these! Plus, they are long wearing and they don't crease on me. The color does fade a bit by the end of the day. However, I did find the wear to be pretty good. These can be worn alone or under powder eye shadows. Personally, I like to just dab a little bit on, blend it out, and wear them on their own. I tried out two shades: Platinum Club (a shimmery/glittery grey) and Ice Queen (a slivery glittery sheer white). I like Ice Queen on the lid and Platinum Club applied to the outer corner and through crease. These are so quick and easy to wear! I would really love to explore more shades!!! They are available in 6 shades. If you like wearing glittery cream shadows then you should certainly check these out.
COVERGIRL OutLast StayBrilliant Nail Gloss and Glosstinis:
I love the idea of these 3-in-1 polishes. The COVERGIRL OutLast StayBrilliant Nail Glosses and Glosstinis have a formula that combines the basecoat, glossy color, and a top coat...all in one! Ya'll know that I am all about time-savers. So, I love any product that saves time, steps, or products. Plus, they promise longer wear (they quote as long as one week). While I did not get 1 week of wear from these polishes, I am pleased at the wear (3+ days, which is really average wear for me). These pretty polishes come in 45 shades. Impressive! My favorites of the assortment I tried? #147 skylight (a pretty sky blue cream) and #540 purple freeze (soft lavender cream).

Overall, I really am loving these new products from COVERGIRL. As expected, COVERGIRL delivers great on-trend products with great quality and color selection. All of that plus COVERGIRL's great prices makes COVERGIRL a drugstore staple for me!

Have you seen COVERGIRL's new "Ready, Set, Gorgeous" Collection? I am dying to try it out! Let me know if any of ya'll have tried any of the products from that collection or any mentioned in this post. I always love to hear your thoughts! :)

As always, thanks for reading!
Stay gorgeous!!!
XOXO!
